One of my favorite places in the world to write (I work remotely) and enjoy the ambiance of one of Americas last remaining large booksellers is at Barnes and Noble. Ive never had a problem at any store Ive been to around the country, but here Ive discovered they prefer loud and belligerent customers over quiet readers not causing any harm. Customers on cell phones screaming as they walk through the store, employees laughing and breaking items behind the coffee counter, men pacing the magazine isle throwing their arms around and cursing to phantoms - all of these are overlooked by management and staff, but heaven forbid if I take a seat upstairs next to one of the only wall outlets in the store. Sitting quietly anywhere in this B&N is apparently the equivalent of summoning satan in public, as Im also not allowed to prop one foot up on the opposite chair next to me at my table (again, in a corner, away from everyone, sitting peacefully). I recommend to corporate that if you want to keep B&N flourishing into the future and not going the route of Borders, you explain to your employees the danger in harassing quiet, complacent, and peaceful customers over petty details while allowing loud, belligerent customers to do as they please in your stores. I dont visit your store to experience a return to elementary school with a power-hungry teacher smacking my wrists at the slightest movement. Take care of real problems in your store, and let me sit in peace.

Having read the previous review, I drove from another county to this store for this feature. IT IS NON-EXISTENT. No section; after checking every shelf headling twice, I had to go to another section to find a B&N clerk. When I did, she lead me to the bottom shelf of a completely unrelated section where, amongst the art books she finds two books about, but not how to do music. She then takes me to two shelves next to Starbucks that contain fake books and adult how to music for mostly guitar and piano, with a few for voice and one flute. NOTHING FOR CHILDREN except for one exceptionally large sprial-bound Fake Book which most children could not even lift. I am offered the opportunity to order recorder kits for children sight unseen, which I am not anxious to pursue having driven an hour from home. Of course, if I buy a B&N membership, then they will mail to my home; otherwise there will be an additional charge. . . . BJ

There are no chairs to sit on the second floor and read book(s) that you want to by? I was sitting on the floor in the corner of the store (as I do when there are now chairs) when employee asked me to leave and go downstairs since "sitting on the floor is prohibited". Are you kitting me? In the bookstore? I have been in this store since it opened over 10 years ago and never heard about such a policy. After I refused to leave, office manager name Enzo came and asked me again to leave my spot on the floor? This really felt insulting. I returned items that I already purchased ($77) and books that I may have purchased and left the store. Barnes and Noble bookstores, which I considered for years as a reader sanctuary, will loose their battle for book lovers and devoted customers. With such a policies we are forced to go to Amazon.

Went here and bought the only real estate sales license book they sold by Barrons. Problem was - it was released in 2008 - its now 2016 and the laws have changed. I realized much of the information in the book was no correct - the laws changed and called them. The man on the phone said not to worry, bring it back even though I had taken a practice exam in the back. When I got to the store the the story changed. Whoever I spoke to - disappeared. None of the managers OKd the return. I told them to throw the book in the garbage as thats what its worth - nothing. They should not be selling educational information that is no longer current. The book would just make people do worse on the exam. Shame on you Barnes and Noble and shame on you Barrons.

It is unfortunate that I went to this location and all of the outlets are literally taken out of the wall (on the 2nd floor). There is only one table upstairs with an outlet that is first come first serve. So If you wanted to study and use the internet, yes theres wifi but when your computer battery goes down you cant plug it in. Upstairs unless you get to the only table with an outlet first or you go down stairs behind the magazine rack and plug it in there. There are lots of outlets there but there arent any tables behind The magazine rack. I miss Borders.

Yes, this is a Barnes and Noble store- but, whats cool about this particular store is the space: ITS HUGE. Roomy, with a really great selection of magazines and a pretty big seating area in the cafe. Staff is helpful without being overbearing. And the graphic novel and science-fiction sections are deep. A nice way to spend a couple of hours!

Overall good because of its books and employees. It however is not as internet friendly as it should be in todays climate. When you need battery life on your Nook or other mobile you have to leave and go somewhere else. I would love to be able to hang out and read, shop, chat, read some more, and shop some more... Get the picture?

Ive never felt so uncomfortable in a bookstore, consistently watching me and my daughter as we read books, as if we were going to steal something, 3 employees one after another stood next to us for few minutes, looked down at our hands and then walk off, Barnes and Noble at this... never again

I like the store because I am an avid book reader. But, they do not have access for plugins so that you can work and eat. It would be nice if they had plugins for your ipads and laptops at the cafe. They do have great events. Meeting Damon John early in the year and Paula Dean was awesome.

Really nice place. With really nice people. Starbucks within uses your barnes and nobles membership and you get 10% off. Two stories. Big area for childrens books and story time, as well as, toys and learning center.right across the street from whole foods.

Love brick & mortar bookstores, but they are going downhill. I dont think they are competing well with online retailers as we have seen many changes at the two local Barnes and Nobles that we frequent, and none of them are good from our perspective.

Really large store with an enormous selection. They also have a great clearance and discount section downstairs on the left. I didnt receive what I would consider wonderful customer service any of the times Ive visited.
