I will never be patronizing their establishment ever again. I have noticed a decline overall in customer service as a whole but this incident was very uncalled for. While in the check out line we were unloading our groceries I politely asked the cashier if she had started ringing up our order yet. (The man standing behind us had 2 items and I was going to let him go ahead in line because we had a great deal of groceries.) She was short and answered me curtly. I had to go get a cart!" When I said to her she did not need to answer me with attitude she said "I dont have an attitude, its just the fact! Immediately I asked for her manager and she was nice enough to call him to the front. When he arrived he stood there rubbing her back as if to console her and sarcastically told me I will talk to her later about it and walked away while I was still trying to have a conversation with him regarding the issue. I asked the manager to remove her as she was smirking and rolling her eyes at us, and he just walked away. She just smirked and chuckled at the situation. I will remain a faithful shopper at Publix where shopping is a pleasure and nothing like this would ever be tolerated there. You might pay a little more but you dont have to buy your grocery bags, they will take your groceries to your car with a smile. Moreover, it puts more people to work that need jobs and there is a extremely high level of customer service there. lesson learned, "You get what you pay for", and you also get what you dont pay for some places.

It appears more like an organized grocery store, instead of a discounted warehouse with aisles filled with cut open boxes. The whole appearance has changed. They have upright freezers now and foods are sectioned well, instead of everything bunched together. The fruits are separated and organized in an appealing manner. It makes shopping there so much easier and convenient..to get in and out. Although, you must bag the items yourself, the bags are reasonably priced and sturdy. The freezer foods are well organized and they have more staff throughout the store, assisting with the organization, presentation and the staff can properly direct you to where things are...kudos!!! For the changes

Usually a very pleasant trip but today i wad treated very rudely by one of the employees. I picked up a can of carrots which happened to be opened and almost empty black nasty juice got all over my hand and when i told the employee hey sir this is open he walked by me snatching the can from my hands without even making eye contact or apologizing for the inconvenience. Mind u im pregnant and a serious germaphobe the least he could have done was offered me a napkin or just pretended to be interested in what i was trying to tell him... oh well u live and learn he was very rude and i made sure to tell the two sweet girls on the registers...

Save-A-Lot is one of the cheapest supermarkets in the area. They have the best prices on fruits, juices, canned goods and more. I estimate that I save around 30% shopping here over what I would pay at Publix. To be sure its not as fancy. Also they do not provide shopping bags (unless you pay for them). But its easy to simply roll the cart straight to the car and then transfer to bags kept in the trunk. And this is very environmentally friendly!

MEAT IS THE BEST YOU CAN BUY! There are some things that they dont stock that I always buy, so I have to go to Publix or Walmart. Publix and Walmart, on the other hand, have terrible meat! Tough and tasteless. I have never been disappointed with meat at Save a Lot. Honestly, the steaks, ribs, chicken are the best in Florida. The savings are great.

It may have low prices, but the staff is rude, the fresh fruit and veggies go bad extremely fast. Be careful and make sure you check dates. There is never enough staff running registers. The staff that is there act like they would rather be elsewhere as well.

Very inexpensive compared to other grocers. I have never seen more than 2 cashiers regardless of time of day. Great place if you have time to wait to check out. Bring your own bags or buy them there.

This store used to be great, but in recent days its not. Dirty place, old meat laying around. Not sure why these local grocery stores in Lake county, Florida allow this, ,!!
