Lets get one thing straight - The Fresh Market isnt the type of grocery store where people will be going to use up their food stamps. This is not your typical Winn-Dixie or Super Walmart grocery. I go to The Fresh Market for one reason: to get high quality or gourmet grocery items. This is my first stop when Im wanting to try new gourmet cheeses (which is one of my unfortunate addictions) or artisan breads. The overall feel of the store is that of an old-timey market and it feels very comfortable and familiar. It fits perfectly in an area like Riverside which is probably why this store is generally quite crowded with upper-middle class types, hipsters, and young business professionals. I personally love the feel of the store despite the fact that I probably dont fit in well with the crowd. Youll find things here that you wont typically find at many other grocery stores but youll also be missing many staples that you might normally find at your local grocery. Its not a one-stop shop for all of your food needs but thats okay if you just know that going in. If youre a coupon-clipper or want to find the best deal on grocery staples, then you wont be shopping here regularly, but if you are looking for a horseradish aged cheddar from England or a nice aged smoked Gouda, then shop to your hearts content!

Publix customer service is much better than Fresh Market on Riverside in Jacksonville fl. My first time entering the new store, was looking for Ancho Chil powder. Fresh Market was the only store that carried the spice, they were not helpful, sent me over here, over there, finally I made it to the spice area, the woman who was stocking spices, said it wasnt in her area! I had to get a manager who had a very cool or a matter-of- fact attitude, he found the spice!, where the spice woman was stocking the spices. "Wow". I still say Publix customer service is better than Winn Dixie, Walmart, Fresh Market on Riverside. Just saying! I will say Fresh Market store was clean, well stock and arrange and much nice looking prepare food items. They have a customer service problem, non- friendly attitude.

Tonight was my 3rd time going to this store..The first time i went with a friend and we tasted some wines well i didnt take a picture or anything and didnt have a phone to call my friend on to ask her..Well im looking at the wines and finally asked someone who works there his name is Joe..I told him about one of my previous visits and was trying so hard to find this wine..I had my 3 kids with me being crazy and eventually i found it and just want to thank him!!! After the stress of my kids just being there and being loud the man was awesome at helping me..Im now sitting drinking my wine that took forever to find and im one happy mommy right now..so a big shout out to Joe for helping me and being so patient .. The wine is sensi and the flavor is dolcevita..its amazing and fruity i love it !

Living next door to this location has increased the shopping we do here. We didnt think we could afford the prices but the sales during the week have kept us loyal to The Fresh Market. We enjoy the produce, cheeses, wines and cuts of beef from butchers, the coffee selection and nut selection is great. We feel the staff treats us like family. They are always welcoming and helpful from manager to cashiers. Sushi made fresh here deliciously fast as well as other pre-made meals. Last minute purchases right before closing manager has kept doors open. This is the best of a open air produce and upscale grocery at fair prices for quality and unique hard to find items.

Having The Fresh Market next door where I live is great. I can find excellent ingredients you don t find everywhere. Two aspects I dislike is 1-Managment is not personal, friendly staff found bcs they are nice themselves but not because Company Policy. Many employees, including Manager in this location, are not "Customer Service" oriented. 2- Store is not very clean. I have use the bathroom and it really is not at standard. Water Fountain is disgusting and common areas inside an outside are not neat. If Fresh Market consider itself a high end grocery store they should watch their facilities. Its just a though. I still like shopping there.

I really like the store, but, absolutely love the floral dept. I called the store and spoke with Tiffany in bulk and she informed me that all I needed to do was to bring in my vases for my daughters and they would take care of it. I, of course, would need to purchase whatever flowers I wanted and leave the rest to them. And that is exactly what I did. Came in spoke with Kara and Tressie, picked out my flowers and left it to them. My husband picked them up the next morning. They were lovely! I was so pleased!!! Thank you so much for letting me know about this wonderful Floral Dept.

I will admit that the first time I went here I didnt like it. Not one bit. It was crowded and I just couldnt get comfortable in the space. ... It was also the first day the store opened. Of course they were crowded! Since then my husband and I have been back several times. The meat department is amazing. The cuts and freshness has blown away other places. Their display of fruits and veggies are presented beautifully and they are fresh as well. Now the The Fresh Market is part of our weekly shopping routine.

I absolutely love The Fresh Market. Living and working in the area, I am in this store at least 2-3 times a week, the cashiers are always friendly and there is rarely a wait to check out. I love the wine tastings they have there often. I really love their Deli. Is it expensive? Sure, but it is not selling generic and unhealthy items. You pay for higher quality, simple as that. Their deli items are very comparably priced as are their meats and fresh vegetables. Their Bakery.. well its sinful. :)

My husband and I stopped off at the FM once leaving St. Vincents hospital. He said he really wanted to eat healthy (that night). I didnt realize that the store was in Riverside so we just so happen to pass by it. He said lets go try them out. That was 2 weeks ago and we have been back 3 times since then. My husband was like a kid in a candy store. Then I tasted their spiral ham and thats what Im making for Thanksgiving :-) - We both really love the place! P. McIntosh

Deceptive practices. They set up a large display, featuring a buy one get one item. But when you try to purchase, its not the actual item. This big, oafish "manager" said I read the sign wrong. Of course I did, when a reputable store displays an item on sale, the item in the display is the one on sale. If it was a mistake, apologize. Nope, not here. Im willing to overpay at a store for the customer service. You are no whole foods.

I stop at Fresh Markets salad bar at lunch and on the way home for supper. The salad bar is soo bare at supper and pretty sparse at lunch. Called the manager and he said he wished they would just remove the salad bar and he dosnt really have the staff to maintain it. WoW, i guess dumping lettuce into a big bowl or cutting up the cucumbers is alot harder than i imagined. Guess ill stick with publix , its also on the way home.
