I bought a vehicle (2010 Town and Country) from Carmax in Sanford. The sales experience was ok. When I picked up the vehicle on the second day as I am driving all the "idiot" lights turned on and the wipers started going off and the horn as well. I called the service department and they told me to bring it in. I drove it from Palm Coast to Sanford with the wipers and horn going off and all the dash lights on. The service department put us in a loaner and they started the repairs on my van. I called our sales associate and asked him if we could just get another vehicle and he said "No lets just see if they could fix it." They were unable to repair it at Carmax so they took it Greenway Dodge and there after a month the van was repaired. When I picked it up I asked about the wipers being replaced since they were on for the hour drive on the hot glass and they said they didnt find anything wrong with the wipers. I ended up having to replace them a week later. When we got it back it was ok for about another month and after that I started having issues with the side rear door not closing or closing and the motor continuing to try to close. I called and they told me we were out of warranty. Never the less 2 years later I have had it with the van. My boyfriend actually went to the Carmax in Daytona (against my wishes) and purchased a 2015 Dodge Journey this past Monday and I explained to the sales associate what happened with the Town and Country and he was amazed nothing was done to get us out of that van. Our sales associate was awesome in Daytona not exactly what I could say for the one in Sanford.

Could it be any less of a hassle? Craig was out sales guy and the experience was just perfect. No pushy attitude tactics at all. Craig listened to our needs and assisted us with finding a car that matched what we were looking for WITHOUT trying to sell us into a more expensive car. Craigs knowledge of the cars we looked at was very helpful. Craig went above and beyond to answer each question with an honest answer and when he needed to consult another department to get an answer he did, rather than feeding a line of BS. The loan process was streamlined and easy to finalize. One word of caution, if you have good credit, make sure you shop rates and get the financing before you purchase. If not, you do have a very forgiving return policy and will allow you to return the car and use your own financing, which we elected to do. If you are not into high pressure sales tactics and arrogant sales people, then this place will surly suit your needs. I highly recommend Car Max which should say a lot because I’m not easily impressed.

We went to Carmax in Daytona about 2 1/2 months ago and my wife saw a car she liked. When she went to take it for a test drive, they had to jumpstart it. When they got it started they had to put air in the tires. After they put air in the tires they had to jumpstart it again. After that they replaced the battery and now the seatbelt assembly wasnt working properly and they said they fixed it, but now it works and doesnt work. When we picked up the car after they so called fixed the seatbelt assembly I noticed a hole in the front part of the car but they sort of painted it over. Also there is a CD stuck in the CD player and they didnt say anything about it. Now we are stuck with a CD and cant even play other cds. Also I had to put air in the left rear tire 4 Times. After all that we have had nothing but problems with this car,but we still took it. By the way when we went back to Carmax for the problems the salesperson who helped us didnt even say a word to us.

DISAPPOINTED Several years ago, we bought a car from CarMax in Texas. It was such a positive experience, that when we wanted to get another car, we went to the Carmax here in Daytona. Unfortunately, this experience has caused us to have doubts about the company. We found a car that we wanted and arranged to do a test drive. Cosmetically, the car was great, but during the test drive we heard a grinding sound coming from the back end and found that the XM radio did not work. Both problems were still under warranty. We told the salesman that we were interested in the car, but not with problems. He said he would have their mechanics take a look and would get back to us. A week later, he still had not called us back and the car is still listed for sale on their website. It gives all the appearance of just hoping that the next person won’t notice the noise or test the audio systems and will buy it uawares.

Went in to buy a truck, or at least see if I could buy a truck. They had the exact model and color I wanted. After talking with the wife, decided we should get two smaller cars instead. One car was damaged internally and the salesman didnt know until I showed him. They wouldnt let me buy that car and were apologetic for the inconvenience. So we looked at 7 other cars and finally settled on the one pictured. It was a very easy transaction. They took a lot of time to sell us the car on the terms that were right for us. Got a great deal on a car that had manufacturers warranty still intact. Adam really took a lot of time to make us feel comfortable. The entire staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. Will definitely buy from them again! They even allowed us to take the first car back and get another. Rick and staff, 10 stars!

They will keep you waiting for an hour while multiple inspectors implement their con to try to scam 15 grand off of the value of your car all while the "salesman" keeps you company playing friendly guy that has nothing to do with you getting ripped off all the while feeding you key pieces of information to try to prepare you for what he hopes will be an acceptable loss. A less than clever hat trick in the sales world to keep too many balls in play providing a docile customer that never has a chance to voice their opinion to a person that matters because everyone is a messenger.

They made buying a car very stressful for me. When I arrived I told the gentleman that I was already approved for a certain amount through my bank. I guess he didnt hear me because he continued to run my credit to try to get Thier banks. Well I did buy a new car but not through them. I have received no joke 23 denial letters from other banks. Not happy with them running my credit as much as they did. My score went down 30 points. I will not recommend them to anyone

Im highly satisfied!! I found a SUV at CarMax online, Orlando had it and they transferred it to daytona with no charge to me, I set up a test drive and off we went. I had my car appraised and added to my final total. My sales woman was Lesa C. I wouldnt have gone anywhere else after meeting her. Shes the best around. I recommend going there before anywhere else in town.
