Talk about an expert on memorabilia, antiques, and collectibles! Kurt will explain to you what you have, what is worth, and what he’ll be willing to give you for it…fair and square. He will reimburse you top dollar for your gold and valued metals (more so than those “Cash For Gold” places), and will provide you with the knowledge and fair price on everything you have of value. Pawn business can be a rough business, but this little shop has the heart, the kindness, the integrity, the history and therefore…the understanding of the rough times you may be going through and wont treat you like you’re just another face walking in. Take it from a guy who went from pawn to pawn on East Bay Dr., 66th Street, and Gulf to Bay Blvd. desperately looking for someone to loan my memorabilia temporarily (due to rough times of my own). I stopped at places that saw me open the door and told me “not interested” without me mentioning a word!! I came to this little pawn shop, explained my situation to Kurt…Kurt cut me a deal. Now, my wife, parents, and close friends of mine wanna come over to buy and sell some of their items. He’s got a customer here for life! I’m telling you…you work with him he’ll work with you. I guarantee it! …if the cable network found this shop interesting and gave it a spot on their show…why wouldn’t you??!?!?!

This is the best pawn shop you will find anywhere. Weve worked with Kirk, Roger, and Ethan and on two different occasions and they are all professional, knowledgable, and friendly. They take the time to answer any questions you may have and explain everything in as much detail as you want. They explained more about the grading and values of metals and stones than any jewelry store Ive ever visited. All of their higher end jewelry comes with an independent appraisal. They even took the time to explain the testing they did on the various gold/jewelry we took in to sell them. Their prices are extremely fair and I doubt youd beat them anywhere. They value repeat customers and even threw in two pairs of sterling silver earrings for free with our last purchase! We will keep coming back here for as long as we live in the area.

Superb customer service, professionalism and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of their business, from precious metals to antiquities and all points in between. The staff of Sunset Jewelry & Loan, Ms. Phyllis, Kirk and Roger are all top notch. Words cant begin to express the wealth of knowledge they all possess. You may walk in feeling like a customer but I guarantee you will walk out knowing you are friends. Ive done business with "The Guys" for 12 years and have not 1 regret. Whether it was a time to pawn or a time to buy or even a repair need, I always knew I was getting the utmost respect and could always count on a fair and honest deal. Definitely the best in the area. I have been to other pawn shops in the Clearwater/Dunedin/and palm harbor areas and Sunset Jewelry and Loan was BY FAR the best place I have ever been to! I have not had a chance to work with one of the gentleman there, but I do know that Kirk is without a doubt the best pawnbroker I have ever dealt with, he worked with me with what I had an gave me outstanding prices when pawning and selling AND he even educated me on some of the pieces I brought in,for example I had a gold necklace that I thought was worth maybe 50-60 bucks, than Kirk told me (like an honest pawnbroker would do) that the chain was actually worth $190 if you are looking for a good place to go, take my word on it, this is the place to go!

Ive been going to Sunset Jewelry & Loan for about a few years now. I found the personnel to be very friendly and honest to all their customers. I buy all my gold from Kirk. Also, they repair jewelry as well and will try to custom-make something for you. They offer fair prices on all merchandise and gold trade-ins. Sometimes, I just stop by to say hello to Kirk, Roger, & Mom and look to see if they have any new gold pieces in. I highly recommend Sunset Jewelry & Loan to anyone looking for honest and fair prices on all merchandise. Kirk and Roger are courteous and professional beyond words, and they make a stressful situation much, much easier. They are also a wealth of information; so, if you ask the right questions, you can learn so much about buying pieces of jewelry that will hold their value better than others. TOP OF THE LINE!!! The family at this pawn shop for 12 years knows their business. I have been dealing with them for 2 years now and their isnt anything they havent been able to answer for me or find out. Their are a positive, motivated, experienced group of individuals that have waited for me when running late & worked out loans, selling & buying without a hint of problems. Their prices are fair & if not they work with you to make you the satisfied customer that makes me keep coming back! I would recommend this shop to my northern friends their so good. I didnt know what to expect when I walked in here a few weeks ago, but I can tell you that my expectations were blown away! Forget the typical "Pawn Shop" with tons of old electronics and endless isles of tools...this was the nicest Pawn Shop Ive ever been too. Great selection of interesting antiques, jewlery, sports memorbilia, and a very friendly staff who answered all my questions. They took the time to show me anything I was interested in and I left with some amazing treasures. If you are looking for honest people in a clean, friendly environment then you must check them out!

I have been in Clearwater for three years and went to other pawn shops that in my opinion do not by any means match up to Sunset. In my experience they offer more on any thing being pawned and truly do not want you to loose your items so are willing to work with you on specifics to make the whole experience more enjoyable, affordable and pleasant while still giving you that financial leg up your looking for. When making a choice of which pawn shop to go to, just check out a couple of the others and Im sure you will decide the best way to go is Sunset Jewelry and Pawn

I went there with an old guitar of mine and he gave me more than any other offer I had gotten in the area! This man is honest and not looking to screw you over. He treats you fairly and gives you a fair price for your goods, unlike any other pawn shop. This place is also filled with unique and tasteful antiques, jewelry and sports memorabilia among other one of a kind things that are definitely worth checking out. 10/10, would recommend! Stop by and check it out! With the inventory constantly changing, who knows what you may find!
