I am new to Orlando and Pet Bazzar is the closet store where I can buy feeder rats. Ive been their a total of 4 times since Ive been here. my first experience was very pleasant. I asked for a large dead rat and they gave me a large dead rat. Reason for me asking for dead is because I was bitten by a feeder rat and got very sick so dead is better for me. Gentleman goes in the back and brings out a large dead rat no problems. For some reason my snake didnt eat it. So i go back a few days later and ordered a med dead rat. I figured she wasnt feeling to well from the move and the cold temp so I got her something easy to eat. Shes a six foot red tail that Ive had for years. We got home and she ate it no problems. two weeks later I picked up another rat. I didnt check it when i paid for it but when I went to go feed her they had given me a rat pup. I figured maybe i was misheard and paid no attention. today I went to pick up another rat. i looked at the sizes displayed at the counter desk and chose another med rat. Mind you my snake can handle xl but right now I dont want to feed her that. I chose a med rat and got home to a small rat. Still with a baby face. Ive been buying rats for a over fifth-teen years this was a large pup rat. Maybe its a coincidence or maybe when they walk to the back they grab a smaller rat to cheat you out of a dollar difference. Two weeks from now I will go back and if it happens a third time i have no doubt that they are not giving me what I pay for.

I used to LOVE this place. NOT ANYMORE! I had called in for information about my hognose snake and left a message and THREE WEEKS passed and still no answer! I called back again and left another message and STILL no call back. The third time I called back in I left a message stating its common courtesy to CALL SOMEONE BACK and the man in the wheel chair called me back and left an EXTREMELY RUDE AND COCKY message on MY phone! He is a pathetic excuse for a man! He said that they only check their messages ONCE EVERY THIRTY DAYS! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DOES THAT!? Like I have said before unethical businesses WILL fail. I called back and one of the female workers laughed and gave him the phone again when I said I wanted to speak to someone else! They are extremely unethical and I will be contacting the Better business bureau! I will go to Petco where they actually act like they have brains and not like gossiping teenagers! My lawyer just spoke with the owner Shane and he said that his employees dont have to be kind and courteous! This guy is delusional! I am a Manger at my job and this is unethical behavior that would not fly at a mom and pop shop or a corporate company! He tried to flip it around and blame me and my wife for his rude employees do yourself a favor and dont go here! He tried turning it around on myself self and I saying it without saying it was my fault to my lawyer and asked if this was a joke! YOUR STORE IS A JOKE!

I frequently visit Pet Bazaar to purchase supplies for my tortoises. The servies is excellent as far as friendly and attentive, but they are giving poor and incorrect information on sulcata tortoises. They have told me numerous things about husbandry that is just not right. One of the employees recommended hibernating my tortoises during the winter. He even went as far as to say that he does not feed them from november to february, and just keeps them in his garage in dog crates with a heat lamp. These tortoises DO NOT HIBERNATE. They also told me that another tortoise I brought in to be checked out was older than a year old, and that his underbite would be a medical issue and to have my tortoise breeder returned. This is also a lie. My vet informed me that the tortoise will live a normal life, other than the ocasional once a year beak trim that will help him better graze on his food since he will not be getting any abrasive action on that part of his jaw. They are knowledgable about most everything else in their store, but this has been a huge disappointment. I thought I had found a pet shop that had staff who cared about the well being of an animal, and telling outdated information is not helping anyone who purchases one of their pets.

They are a great store of pet supplies, and pretty nice people with the exception. One young lady cashier that wasnt friendly at all. She was talking to a guy while doing checkouts, and she didnt even offer a smile. She rang me at the cash register like she was doing me a favor. She didnt even say thank you. Great store that has been around for a long time. But it kind of kills it when some of your people are not even friendly. Not even a hello , or even a thank you. I dont know they could have even said: " will that be it for you today? " Im a pretty friendly person myself that has worked in retail and as a cashier, so, I know what difficult customers are like. But also, I know you have to try to be somewhat friendly. She had brown hair and looked pretty young so maybe this is her first job and she dosent know or something. If it isnt her first job she need improvement. As a person in customer service you will always have difficult customers. But when someone is actually nice to you, you might want to appreciate that. The other people there I have not had a problem with. They are not super friendly, but they are at least respectful. Please train your people to be better.

One word to describe my visit at Pet Bazaar; Phenomenal. My husband and I are having a baby due next month May and were looking for a little critter to join our new growing family. Unknowing of what we wanted to buy, we asked questions about everything in site. I loved that the associate helping us knew every answer to our questions, and had no problem taking the time out to do so. He was patient and understanding. Even after reviewing it all, as we were about to head out the door, he noticed I was pregnant and told us it might be best to wait until the little one was a month or two so we would have a schedule not only for the baby, but for us as new parents. Making it easier on the whole family when bringing a new pet into the picture. That blew my mind ! When do you ever hear an associate think of YOU instead of your wallet and a sale. I was so grateful to his advice, because he honestly was right and knew what was best. I will definitely be coming back, and hope he is still there to help us when we do. Thank you so much, if your reading this. My husband and I really appreciate the time you took out to give us all the advice and information. See you soon !
