I returned to the BBW today to purchase a bag of dog food and treats for our vacation trip. The store was full of staff (minimum of 4 of them!), hanging out in the office...no one offered me any assistance in picking out food, treats, or anything else, as I was looking at toys too. I got my purchases up to the register, and had to wait for someone to tear themselves away from the action in the office to help me. I had been mailed a coupon for $5 off, which was tied to my frequent buyer card. I have lost it, and they would not give me the discount, even though it was tied to my account. Gave me the excuse they had to have the card to "track it" however they track my purchases, so figure that one out. In this time of hard economics, and considering that a new pet store has opened up in Silver Spring, I think they would have been a bit more intrested in my business. Run and Play

Nice selection of pet supplies, although none of it is inexpensive. And some of their stock is very pricey. But, it certainly fits in with the rest of the shops nearby in that regard. Parking is tough. It has a DC zip code, but, de facto, its in Old Town Takoma Park, and parking is hard to come by on some days. Ive always had great service when Ive gone in here to buy something for our dog walking/dog boarding company, but I know other people have had the oppositie experience. I can definitely recommend the place, though.

We love this store. They carry a great selection of healthy cat foods and healthy environmentally safe cat litter brands. They offer a wonderful choice of cat and dog collars, leashes and toys too. The products they sell (especially foods) are not the brands sold at larger national pet store chains. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to help. We are very grateful to live in the neighborhood and have the BBW minutes away. We look forward to the grand opening of their new larger store!

They are awesome! Great selction and if you dont know what to get you can bring you pet inside and they also give u sample bags to see if your pet will like it. Very good selection on grooming and other supplys. Nice staff and very helpful and knowledgeable! P.S Parking is a little hard but you can park in cvs parking lot. Didnt mind it running across the street. It hard to find a good business. So I will keep it running as long as the doors are open.

I recently visited the Hyattsville location with my sister. She always raves about this store so I went with her. Im from New York. They were very nice and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable. Your employee (Mya I believe her name was) was so helpful with advice and help for my pup. I wish they had this store up here. When I go back down I will certainly be visiting there again.

Big Bad Woof Takoma Park Md has a good variety of dog food. I have bought dog food there on a frequent basis for number of years successfully. Recently they hung up on my phone call when I inquired about whether they took debit cards. I thought that was not professional, I cant recall that kind of treatment from any other business that I called in my lifetime.

Every member of their staff is helpful and really nice. They have a lot of organic options that you may not always find in the bigger stores. If you just adopted a pet this is the place to go- they provide you with an adoption congrats package that makes your new family members transition to the home just a bit easier.

Ive had a positive experience shopping at this store. I would expect it to be more expensive probably because pennye doesnt have the buying power a Petco or Petsmart does. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable!

Great selection of products and friendly staff. Independent store store so it may be a little more pricey, but still competitive. The convenient location makes it a good stop. Parking may be a little tough though.
