While I am happy to have a local pet shop around columbia heights, the customer service at this location leaves a lot to be desired. The staff were unhelpful and not knowledgeable about their products. The store is clean, and they have a decent selection of pet products as well as offering fish in store. Go here knowing what you need and good luck finding help when it comes to understanding more about your purchases.

If youre here for simple items such as fish flakes, and animal cages, then this is your place. If you want anything else, go somewhere else. Some employees are clueless, but nice mostly. The manager did not have a clue as to why they didnt have a very popular fish additive that most other Petcos and all Petsmarts have. Try Petsmart in Bethesda or a local fish store in the area. This place sucks

They had almost every thing that I wanted and the staff didnt come up to me to ask if I needed anything till I was leaving and I was there for 20 minutes. But the site is clean and every staff member that I talked to was very nice and I understood it was new years so not every thing wild be in stock.

My only complaint here is the lack of shopping carts. Its really annoying when you go for 2 digs and need a giant bag of food, several cans and treats and theres not one cart. Other than that, convenient with the parking garage and staff.

You cant never find anyone to help you there you have to walk around to find help from a staff member stuff is never in place and when you call customer service on the phone the wait time is terrible I perfer petsmart instead of petco

Excellent customer service variety in food for dogs and cats cleaned and organized. The only downside to this place, is that it has no parking validation. The best way to get there is by walking.

Another Petco. From friendly staff and a huge space for seasonal offerings. Right now its Christmas treats/outfits/gifts for your pets.

The staff here are not knowledgeable and you wont really get much service. I reccomend the one in Cleveland Park which isnt much further

Got everything I need and staff is helpful. A little expensive.
