This was my fourth place looking for an engagement ring for my girl. I got a great first impression form Robbins! I truly loved the display case of replicas where I can pick up and touch any ring without feeling like the salesman was overbearing. I got to take my time and never had to ask permission to look at a ring. IT WAS GREAT! This is what made me decide to go with Robbins..... BUT THEN THINGS WENT BAD! We started to talk about diamonds..... First of all, I wanted a simple round diamond that was about 1 carat with decent clarity, cut, etc. Joel (who was a manager and seemed to be really good at first) informed me that they dont have many round 1 carat diamonds because they are the most popular. Well if they are the most popular, shouldn’t you have more of them? After 3 visits, he kept showing me diamonds that were 0.78 or 1.24 or horrible clarity etc (all clearly outside of what I wanted). Also, he kept "writing" himself post it notes to remember to find me other diamonds, and never followed through. So naturally, I started to shop around for diamonds. I quickly found that I could save $2500 buying THE LOOSE DIAMOND online. (I will leave the name of the online retailer out so you don’t think I work for them). I contacted Joel and asked him if he would set a diamond if I already had one. He said of course! I was thrilled. So I saved the money and got the loose diamond. I picked the setting with Joel (for close to $3000) and I gave him my diamond dimensions. Once he got them, he decided to tell me there was a $150 setting fee if you bring your own diamond. I figured I had no choice so I obviously paid it. The setting finally came in and I was happy with it and I told him I would send over some friends :) He RUDELY replied, "Are you going to send them to [ONLINE RETAILER NAME INTENTIONALL OMMITTED] first for your diamond?!" I gave him my diamond and a week later I came to pick it up. I mentioned how nice the black box was that it was in. He rudely stated “Better than a [ONLINE RETAILER NAME INTENTIONALL OMMITTED} box, isn’t it!” That upset me again. He obviously doesn’t want return business. I can not believe he rudely chastised me for saving money getting a diamond that he could not get me himself! He still got a $3000 sale! I was so upset and he is not getting my return business for a wedding band. He has to understand that in an internet-savvy world, people are going to shop around for the best price and selection. If he can’t supply me with what I need, he should be happy I made it work to still get him some business. The product was good tho, so if you don’t plan to upset them by buying anything ahead of time, then they wont give you the attitude, haha I know he will probably read this review and know exactly who I am, but I think it was important for me to tell you my story and recommend buying your loose diamond online

I lost my wedding set so I went to Robbins. I had just gotten a ring and it had no emotional value to me. I called the store and Gordon was on the phone immediately with me. He was very kind and sympathetic on the phone and in person. Now, I have never been helped by someone so a patient, so kind and understanding. I broke down because My Ring was gone and I was unhappy with my purchase. Linda understood I wanted nothing that looked like my wedding set my husband designed, it hurt too much. I couldnt replace it with the same because we didnt update our appraisal and it was marked as the original amount when it should have been a few thousand more. Ive ALWAYS hated round stones but all I told Linda was no marquee diamond ( my original). I love sapphires and wanted them. Linda showed me a halo ring with a round sapphire center. It was more than I could ever want. I felt the emotions I once had, about my ring. Now, I couldnt be happier!

LOVE ROBBINS!!!! The merchandise is top notch and the customer service is unbeatable! Evan L has been a tremendous help in working with us to design the perfect engagement ring and wedding bands. He answered all of our many questions, presented all of our options, and guided us to purchasing the perfect rings. Even when there was a mix-up with our engagement ring, Evan L worked with us to correct it in the most timely fashion possible and apologized profusely for the mistake. Outside of Evans great customer service, we have received the same help from several other associates in the store, including Gordon. When I was working with Evan in designing my engagement ring, Gordon provided his expert knowledge and help to the conversation. Thank you Robbins for helping to make our engagement and wedding a memorable experience!

Great experience, love being able to browse without needing to "check out" every ring, all just there to pick up and look at, and Linda was awesome to work with. It was quite a drive away, so just for due diligence I asked a local jeweler who also sold Azul rings if they could match Robbins prices and they laughed- they couldnt even get close. Robbins was over 20% cheaper than the local jeweler on the setting alone.

Great service and overall a pleasure to work with. I received immediate responses to questions i had emailed, even after hours. The sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well. The open display cases make it so much easier to shop. It allows the sales person to learn what you are looking for by watching what you pull out each time instead of only showing you what you initially describe.

I just wanted to add an update from the last entry. Today, both the salesperson and the owner contacted me in response to my last review. I give them a lot of credit calling me personally to apologize. They showed some true class and I will give them a second chance when I go shopping for wedding bands.

I buy all my wifes jewelry from there, especially diamonds, and will always buy there. Service is second to none. Always fast and friendly and they never try to pressure me into something I dont want. They take their time and find me exactly what Im looking for. I highly recommend!

Complete RIP-OFFS! Bought my wife a beautiful ring there seven years ago. Apparently, there quality is total crap. A pink sapphire recently fell off the ring. They quoted me $700 to replace a PINK SAPPHIRE! That is no way to treat a customer. Dont waste your money here.

While trying to resell a diamond I bought at Robbins 6 years ago, I found out that I didnt get what I paid for. I paid $7000.00 for a diamond that apparently is only worth $1500.00. So BE WARY, or just go somewhere else!

Always a good experience. Have come here regularly since purchasing our wedding and engagement rings at the former Hamilton, NJ store. The staff is always friendly and their jeweler does great work.
