If I could leave no stars I would. I purchased a brand new Toro mower 33 days ago. I only used the product once before traveling and had a near impossible time getting it started. After being unable to get it started a second time and checking reviews to see it had a 1 star rating and mass carburetor problem I brought it back. I was rudely informed by the "customer service" rep that I was three days over their return policy. I asked for a manager (Jim) who stated I was three days over and there is no grace or leeway for them and that I would have to pay their tool rental department to determine what is wrong with the brand new product I purchased from them. I stated that over a thousand people had complained of a carburetor issue and then asked why they hadnt pulled the product from their shelves yet. Jim stated that wasnt their concern and an issue between the consumer and manufacturer. Jim was unhelpful, I compassionate to my situation and unwilling to help in anyway other then take more of my money to again see what is wrong with the brand new product I purchased from them. So now I will be waiting 5 days to find out what the issue is with the mower and pay their tech 20 dollars to diagnose it plus whatever the cost to repair the brand new product is. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and Hope Depot- New Castle has lost my business until they make this right or forever. My money and time means to much to me to be taken advantage of. UPDATE: After returning to check on the statis of my mower today I talked with Bill the district manager. He was very informative and brought clarity to why they have the policy in place. However, I communicated what trouble this policy had brought me in my situation. Bill not only allowed me to exchange my mower for a different brand (Honda) but knocked a 100 bucks off the price! He was apologetic for the trouble I previously encountered, provided his personal business card and even had a young man help load my new mower! This service was a complete 180 I had previously recieved and is the type a consumer dreams about. Thanks again Bill!

Very rude customer service rep at the self check out station. Just left there. Was checking out, had to wait for her to help me with an item that wouldnt ring. My husband talked to her, she said the pipe had to have a sticker on it. He walked to find another one that we could ring up. That wasnt the issue. The issue was when i tried to make polite small talk with the cashier. She was right next to my cart. I said "how are you doing today??" She ignored me. I then said " i hope you are having a good day". Still she ignored me. I said, "you know you dont have to be so rude" still ignored me. I was loud enough that i know she heard me. She even raised an eyebrow when i asked how she was doing. This is one of the reasons the world is the way it is. Common courtesy went out the door. You shouldnt work in customer service if you have a rude attitude or hate people that much.

My husband and I just just came from Home Depot. Dennis, sales associate, was so helpful and friendly..He even took us right to the items and showed is which ones were the best for us to use for our shed project to keep critters from living underneath. I didnt realize but my husband had developed a rapport with Dennis as he shops there often..Dennis went that extra mile and it seems like he goes about that every day on the job. We really appreciated his help and he should be recognized for his efforts!! Thanks Dennis!!!

The assistant manager Jim would not accept store credit because my ID did not match that of my deceased mother. Was extremely rude throughout the entire situation. This problem has been solved by other store employees at this location previously but Jim refused to show an ounce of empathy. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. Home Depot should include next of kin in their policy towards store credit in the future to avoid uncomfortable situations like this from happening.

Waited for over 30 minutes for some type of assistance in getting blinds. After calling someone twice over the speaker system and an extra 10minutes later we get told their on lunch. The young man who helped me try to get ahold of that department however was very polite. But...Guys get it together.

Big box hardware store, if you know what youre looking for and dont need help it is the place to go. With so many small good hardware stores in the state I dont find myself heading here often, the prices are not so much better as to drive me away from the competition.

Poor customer service in the rental department. They told me after I brought the tiller back within 30 that I could not exchange or get a refund because the piece of equipment was not large enough for the job. So now I dig by hand. The guy was really no help.

This place is great they have everything in stock most of the time but make sure you price check with Lowes a lot of stuff is cheaper here but some stuff isnt. If you cant find it this location actually has people that know what they are talking about so ask.

Terri must be old and ungly. Try wearing a smile, it makes you more approachable. Just sayin. These people are busy, if you need something ask. I for one dont want to be bothered when i go into a store. If i want something i ask.
