This to date is the worst Goodwill store I have ever been in. This store is very dingy and dirty. Most of the items on the shelves are broken or missing parts and very overpriced so be careful what you buy. The rest of the stuff you buy by the pound. It must be shipped in from all the other goodwill stores that couldnt sell it, literally junk! I purchased a few items out of the locked display case to my surprise when I took them home they did not work at all. You have no way of checking the items because they are missing either the power supply or power cord these items do not belong in the showcase (Buyer beware). I waited 22 minutes for the staff to come with the key to open the display case and had to remind the cashier three times that I had already been waiting 15 minutes. The cashiers at this store are the best out of all the Goodwill stores. They are very friendly and helpful. Goodwill should make it mandatory that all their employees start working in this store kind of like diversity training. I dont understand the pricing. In the glass case was the first Xbox with no controls or power cord for $4.99. On the shelf was the same item in worse condition for $9.99 and I found one in the bin you buy per pound that was in better condition than the other two, go figure that one out. You must be there when the doors open or you are just wasting your time. The stuff gets picked over very quickly and you will get knocked out of the way by the frenzy of the crowd. Tempers flare and it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt due to this type of selling environment. I wonder how many times the police have been called? I saw a confrontation between two woman over clothes and two men over speakers in the 45 minutes I was there. Too many people and not enough bins to pick through. It is like playing musical chairs! Plenty of parking but you will have to walk a little distance if you dont come early so if you are older with bad legs or knees stay away from this unorganized place. Not even handicap parking will help if you come late!!.

We have been to numerous Goodwill outlets in this region. The one in New Castle, DE is, bar none, the most poorly run I have ever seen. The employees are extremely rude. They show extreme favoritism to some regulars. They use a deafening BULLHORN with a siren to make announcements in a concrete room with already lousy acoustics. Cant understand a word they say. It typically takes over 30 minutes to flip a room. They have zero regard for the customer, instead focusing on the many draconian rules that only serve to make their job easier. Rules that are very selectively enforced. Granted, Goodwill outlets are a very different shopping experience, but New Castle takes it to a new low.

First time here I was expecting to go into a retail store environment, but I was wrong. I walked in not knowing how everything went asked one of the shoppers, she told me to get a basket search around grab what you want then if I hear the bell ring run to the blue line stand behind the line, then when the bell rings again run back out to grab more items but be careful because people will push you to get to the stuff. Im like ok its like a game show kinda thing. But in all that goodwill was not for me. Never heard of a goodwill like this before. By all means.

A great experience. Make the trip from NE Philly to the outlet every 6-8 weeks. Pickup my online purchases & spend the day. When the bins are full there is plenty of good items to search for. The Staff is friendly & helpful. The bin changes are organized & a blast to watch or take part in. I have purchased everything from High End Stereo Equipment to a Wedding Dress that looked to be custom made & fitted for one of my office ladies. Bring a friend and have some fun. Oh and its all for a Good Cause "GoodWill" Heading to Delaware today, See you there!

Due to the concept I suppose, everything is very dirty and a mess all mixed together. I do think the obvious garbage (discarded boxes and bags) could be managed better. I certainly have the urge to throw things away when they are in the way. Other than that it is exciting when everyone attacks the new stuff and you never know what youll come across until the very last minute. It is altogether an addictive experience.

This place use to be great now all the workers in the back take anything and everything of value and the managers allow them to. they need to hire someone to watch the people from stealing all the good merchandise and it will be great again theres even a lady that started a petition for this reason. On another note all the workers up front are great and very respectful

The pricing is great.. Where else can u go and the price depends on the weight of ur cart??? No where.. I was just there yesterday and my bill was $69....what did I get?? GPS unit valued at$60 in-store, electric heater valued at $50 dollars in store... Those two items paid for my cart... Not to mention all the other items in my 2 carts full of items...love this place!

Very fun and energetic shopping experience. We go here almost everyday. Every employee is very nice to not only my husband and I but our little girl and son! Great job :) Val and Megan are the sweetest girls working there!! We truly enjoy coming here. Big thank you to the workers who bust their butts hauling these heavy bins and dealing with whiney customers.

The supervisor is very rud, she was complaining about anything, she discriminate me because I had a child and ask me to leave, when I refused she start complaining about not leaving my shopping cart alone even I need to grab something from my wife that was one row ahead me and much more hard time... I dont recommend this place when this supervisor is there.

At one time I felt the same BUT you have to give the store a CHANCE! I have come away with such bargains that are amazing. You do have to take precautions and wash the clothing, clean the toys, etc. etc. It is hit or miss. But once you get over the culture shock and get the "rhythm" of the store you wont want to go back to the "traditional" Goodwill.

Goodwill Outlet of New Castle is an adventure. It can be hit or miss as far as the types and amount of merchandise theyll have on any given day. Its basically the last chance stop for donated goods. Fellow shoppers can be a little aggressive in their search, however the employees have always been very kind and helpful which more than makes up for it.

Very limited parking. Staff very bossy about rules. Cannot even hear what they are saying and talking too fast and because of poor acoustics and echoing. Sporadic change overs of merchandise where they make customers wait while they move stuff around and offer nowhere to sit.

The Goodwill Outlet is a great place to shop, no matter what you are looking for, things for your home you can get it there, from beding, cookware, dishes and clothes, shoes, a lot of the items still have tags on them. The price is very low, pay by the pound.
