TERRIBLE REPAIR SERVICE! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We had a brand new ice maker installed by Johns 2 years ago. It stopped working recently. We called Johns and a repairman came. He opened the freezer, took one look and said "before I even touch anything I can just look in here and see that this was installed improperly. This is the mess. Whoever did this didnt do a very good job." I presented him with my receipt from two years ago and he was shocked to discover that he was the person who installed it. He apologized over and over and over before finally delivering the bad news that I would need a whole new icemaker again. He explained that because it had been improperly installed, it had not been functioning correctly all this time and could not be repaired. He then went on to tell me "the good news is - its cheaper now than when you bought the exact same thing two years ago. " He wasnt sure if he had repaired the icemaker or not but nevertheless I was charged $89.95 because he tried. The following day a representative from their company called to make sure she had the proper email address so they could email me information about purchasing a refrigerator. When I told her of my experience she went on to explain all the different ways that this wasnt their fault. They didnt manufacture the icemaker and I shouldve called a year ago when dripping first occurred - not that the outcome wouldve been any different. I would still have an icemaker not working properly because it was not installed properly, and both the product and service warranty had run out. They never even offered to make this right! I live 5 min. from Johns Maytag Home Appliance and find the $90.00 service call expensive. The repair man diagnosed the problem and wanted an additional $249.00 to fix the problem. I researched it on my own and found the part locally for $75.00 and online for $55.00. It takes 10 min. to install and is an easy installation. They wanted a total of $339.00 for a service call, $75.00 part, and 10 min. labor. My take is they may be good, but verrrrrry expensive.

the worst customer service i have ever experienced. ever. they came in the first time, "fixed" my fridge and it broke again (the same problem) a few months later. we called to get them back in to help us and the man on the phone was short, rude and not helpful.

What a great business. Highly recommended. I had a maytag fridge that I thought was dead, and Johns Maytag came out to look at easily couldve sold me a new fridge, but instead they switched out a part and saved me hundreds of dollars!

Quick easy friendly store. Called ahead for a part, they had, and asked if they had another item while I was there. Sales rep instead shared a washing machine cleaning tip that saved me money!
