I had a Viper alarm with a remote starter installedin my car in Manchester on Broad st a couple years ago well when the remote died I asked them if I bought a new you how much to program it?I was told $45.00, really? Ok so I then took the remote toA.C.T Audio in Vernon and told them I had a new remote that needed to be programed.First he took my old one and tried everything to fix it then when that wouldnt work he took the new one out side 2 minutes later and Voila its done.He hands me back my keyes and thats it. I said how much? He said nothing.OMG Really I was dumbfounded. Fantastic Company!I am buying a new car again next year and will need a new alarm and guess whos getting my business? And all Referrals ....Yep A.C.T Audio see you then. Dec 20th 2012 Well as I said I returned to A.C.T Audio to get a new remote starter and alarm for my new car and as before I was treated with respect! Not like at the other place in Manchester where this same setup cost me $250.00 more! Maybe thats just what woman are charged there? Well anyway I have a great Python Alarm and remote starter now that was installed in less time than it took me to run a few errands. I will continue to do business with them and I hope everyone looking to stay warm this winter will do the same. P.S. Tell them Debbie recommended Act Audio ;) Thanks Guys

I Had a Kenwood head unit and a memphis Audio component speaker system installed in my 2004 Honda CRV per Christians (Manager) recommendations. Simply amazing sound and a superb installation. After visiting 3 Stereo shops ACT audio were the only ones to take the time to give me all my options , Make a recommendation and show me in my vehicle exactley what they would do and how it would look. They gave me a cash discount price, set up the install within 2 days and did the install in the time frame promised. They packed up my old equipment in case I ever change to a new vehicle. I explained I had had problems with stereo installs in the past and was assured of a professional install- they were right it is perfect. , CHRISTIAN AND HIS INSTALLER WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGABLE AND MADE THE PROCESS FUN AND ENJOYABLE. I WILL BE BACK SOON FOR AN AMP AND A SUBWOOFER INSTALL, DONT WASTE TIME AT THE BIG BOX STORES OR OTHER RETAILERS , Act Audio offers an excellent selection of equipment, a big new showroom and employees who know their product and offer professional customer service. I searched locally for a place to have a new sound system installed in my truck. I am particular about having someone work on my vehicles. After visiting several shops, I could not find an installer I felt good about. I read some good reviews about ACT audio and decided to check them out. I was quickly helped by a professional who was familiar with my vehicle and what he could recommend to solve my problems. I was able to get a new touchscreen stereo, Bluetooth phone connection , XM radio,Ipod connection and a back-up camera. They were also able to connect it all to my existing steering wheel controls. The last two places I went could not. They were also able to customize some of the functionality of each button. I had my new system installed within 24 hours. They also programmed my new system to all of my previous pre-sets and set up my phone connection. I would highly recommend ACT and will use them for any of my future audio purchases. Great company. If you are looking for a place where people know what they are doing Act audio is where its at. I had troubles with my 2 amps and in less than 10 min they had identified the problem. Throughout the time they were working on my car a helpful guy named Adam kept filling me in on the what they were doing. I was planning on deadening all my doors but they told me that with my steel doors only speaker kits were necessary, dividing the whole operation cost by practically half. Bottom line these guys are pros that are honest and patient. For weeks before the scheduled install they answered all my questions over the phone practically every time I called. If you want improve the overall listening experience of your subwoofers, listen to them when they recommend you an enclosure from Dave the box guy. ACT audio of Vernon CT has it together. Had work done on a previous car back two years ago by action auto sound in Newington. Horrible Horrible Horrible - they dented my car. I spent two thousand on the audio system and felt the system itself was good. As they say you dont know your eating dog food if you never had Filet Mignone. Well ACT is Filet!! I was there recently. Have a brand new Camaro. Felt the system was great and just wanted a bass boost. They installed a amp and bass box and HOLY SH**!! I have to turn my bass on my car stereo to 0 so its not too much. I cant believe the sound change. Only cost under $400. Highly recommended. They refused to sell me things I did not need too. I have to apologize to the owner for expelling 30 feet of colon in the showroom stinking it up horribly.

Great customer service, very friendly, and a great product selection. I bought a pioneer AVIC-5100NEX off the internet. I stopped by ACT Audio to look at speakers and to talk to someone about installation. I wanted to install the radio myself and they gave me all the info needed to do so, they even made me a wire harness for free before I even purchased a thing. I am use to businesses that charge you through the nose before doing anything nice for you. They are also a vendor that sells Focal Speakers and Act Audio sells them at a very competitive price.

Highly recommend looking somewhere else to have anything done. Highly unprofessional and have no idea what is going on. I went in for an installation and my car came back with a broke passenger side door, the door panel is broken and the door will now not open. No one is willing to take a phone call or provide information. Trust me STAY AWAY! DO NOT GO THERE! Matthew N. should not be allowed near a fisher price toy and Tim the sales man should not be allowed to be anywhere near cars or people.

I stopped in to purchase a replacement remote starter but the salesman thought I might simply need a repair. Surprise! There was a switch beneath the dashboard that had simply been turned off. Thank you so much !! 1/11/16 Now 4 years later I went to Act Audio to have batteries replaced in the remote starter fobs. The tech found one or more of the fobs required a repair. He completed the repairs and replaced the batteries while I waited. What wonderful customer service !

Very knowledgeable staff and reasonable rates. Brought my 2012 plug-in Prius there after Best Buy installer messed up what should have been an easy install of amps, radio,speakers. Act soon figured out the problems and had time to give me good advice in order to complete my system properly. By far the best in the Hartford area and probably in CT. Do yourself a favor and get the work done right the first time by going to Act Audio.
