I was very disappointed by the way they treated their customers the day after Hurricane Irene. 50% of Stamford was without power, and there were quite a few people (maybe a dozen) plugging their cellphones and laptops into the outlets dotted around the seating area in the food court. The security guard was going round telling them all that it wasnt allowed. When I pointed out it was an emergency, she told me "Im just doing my job" and "talk to the management office." So I talked to the management office about it and their response was a rude "please fill in this comment card" and "try Starbucks". Yeah I did, and Starbucks was so overflowing with people I couldnt even get in the door - and did I mention they were totally sold out of food and drink, whereas there was not a soul in the mall because the security guard had scared them all away. This is an emergency, folks! People have no power, no light, no internet, and no trains to get to work. It might have cost you a few cents to power our devices but you would have made far more money in food court profits, and Starbucks was smart enough to let people do that. Totally short-sighted.

Stamford Town Center has a wide variety of stores. I dont know what the racist who wrote the other review is talking about. There are the normal high end stores like Saks and such, middle of the roads like Banana Republic and Gap and a few "just starting my career and need decent clothes" places like Express. There is also stuff for the teenagers and college crowd like Amacrombie and Journey. The customer service every time I have gone there has been friendly and helpful and the security guards keep the teenagers that populate any mall well behaved and mannerly. The people who go there are as varied ethnically as any place in the Tri-state area, not that it should make a bit of difference. Ive never been foolish enough to shop according to my ethic group. Most intelligent people shop according to their individual needs or wants. Ive lived in a number of places in my life, from Germany to Virginia, Texas to Colorado and finally here in CT. This is the nicest mall by far of any I have been to. And no, I dont work for the mall or know anyone who does.

This describes my experience despite the explanation from mall employees where I screwed up. I decided to visit this Mall with my disabled Son who I had for the day due to an appointment he had earlier in the day. I was unable to navigate the parking system so I ended up with a $25.00 ticket. I can navigate the Metro North ticket system so I assume despite the comments from the management office that this mall does not want the elderly or the disabled using this Mall. This experience was so unpleasant that not only is this Mall on my prohibited list but as far as I am concerned Stamford is off limits for me including those businesses and services that I have used in the past. That is because the parking system is owned by the Mayor who shares the Malls prejudice against the elderly and the disabled. There are much better alternatives to this Mall and this City.

There isnt much supervision for the playground upstairs. Grownups cant have a bottle of water when sitting on the side benches, but kids are allowed with candies and some stupid sugar sprays, staining the little play features and making them nasty and sticky. This Macy location is by far inferior to the one in Danbury. The owner of that Pretzel store reminds me of the Soup Nazi and the lady running Peach Wave (or whatever that icecream/smoothie place is called) acts like she cant wait to get rid of the customer so she can go back to her youtube videos on her phone. Considering that Stamford is claiming to be a hip modern city, this Mall needs a major makeover, both in what it can offer shopping-wise but also in the customer service area.

The Stamford Mall is like walking through a market in Morocco. Every where you turn someone is screaming at you from their stall, "Mammm, Mammm can you just try......" It is awful I actually had to escape to the second floor in order to escape one particularly aggressive man hocking a curling iron. He actually followed me and told me my hair, "really needed it! Thanks. On the second floor I was greeted by a woman who looked like she had escaped a mental institution asking if Id like to take a survey...."Please...itll only take a second." She asked me each time I passed her - never once remembering my first response. I was at the mall to get my Apple computer fixed. I wanted to shop while I waited. I left instead.

First of all you have to pay to park. Who goes to a mall and has to pay to park. What does tax dollars go for around this place. Second of all the roads are horrible around the mall, traffic is heavy, red lights are not adjusted in the right way were traffic can flow correctly. Leaving the mall is very hard at the red light because the red light is situated in such a way that you almost hit each other if youre turning left or right. Third of all the selection of stores are horrible as well. You have American Eagle which is extremely small Aeropostale which is small. Theres also a pricing issue. Everything cost more than it needs to cost they are very expensive. The mall is not customer friendly.

Interesting mall with some high-end stores as well as the usual stuff. Being from Montreal, it was odd to see more floors for parking than shopping... but I guess space is at a premium in the center of town. Its a lot better than some early reviews indicate... they have a food court, play area for kids, etc.Crowded too! In Montreal we have the the "Underground City" which covers many city blocks, but parking is a real pain in the... neck! And if you can find indoor parking, its $16 on weekdays... and someone here is complaining about 50 cents ;-) (Yeah, I know, the ticket is a lot more!) Great place to cool off on a really hot day (in the nineties last week).

Worst architecture, Its like a maze . Parking is a spoiler , you have to keep adding time if you extend your shopping . Adding time is not a problem but you have to run out of the fitting room if your time is expiring . Not sure who is the bozo that proposed this. Dont even erroneously press 1hr button in parking and exceed that you will be served a citation [ even though you paid the amount enough for 2 hrs ] . Kids play area has a board with height limit yet they dont enforce that . bigger kids can run into your infant and hurt them which happened to my baby once. I wish stamford has a better mall than this

This mall is small but clean. It contains some of my favorite stores, yet I find the selections within those stores highly limited. I have never gone into a Zara before and left without buying anything. Same thing happened in H and M. Have tried returning periodically and the selections cannot compare to other locations. It is bizarre. The Macys and Saks here are very disheveled. Clothes seem to be stashed heater skelter without any sort of organization. Great restaurants attached to the mall though (The Capital Grille, Plan B). This is a nice mall, however the quality of the stores just seem off somehow.
