Trying a Ford
First impressions are key: Im in the business of making sure my clients are always happy. My company and colleagues pride ourselves in what we call "Client Love". You always go above and beyond for your Client....period. In defense of McMahon, this may be isolated but my experience was completely awful. I decided on McMahon since its a smaller/local dealer. I walked in to meet a sales person that previous emailed me. My goal was to find a special order vehicle and either locate one or order it and pay in full. I met with the sales person around 5pm (very difficult for me to get a day off for this). During the first few moments, the sales person announced that today was his/her early day and needed to leave before 6pm. I was permitted to test drive a similar model which I was happy with. I asked to do a dealer search for the exact model while I went on a test ride (gone about 20min). When I returned the search was not done. I asked for a "out the door" cost for my test driver car as an option and was told it would be done for me tomorrow as his/her day was ending. Also told that I would have a dealer list as well, where I can go test drive the exact model, then come back and special order it through them. During the conversation, the sales person took a personal call in the middle of our conversation...really? It was obvious the sales person was more interested in their own personal business. I spent a whole 10min initially, then a 20min test drive by myself, then the final 10min (3 of which were interrupted by a personal phone call). Im a person who treats people and clients much better than I ever expect in return. I expected a little more Client service than that. Advice to the Sales Manager: train your sales staff to be a little more "Client Focused" and NEVER NEVER keep your phone on "ring" and GOD dont ever take a personal phone call while youre with a potential client...who does that?? As it turned out, I did my own search when I got home. Found 2 models at Branford Ford (not geographically ideal) but the Business Manager actually picked up the phone (as the sales staff had all left for the night). This gentleman spent a good 20min on the phone (some of it I was on hold) while he looked in the showroom and in the lot to make sure he still had the two models. Now WHO does that? I would and thats how I treat any Client. I will happily drive the 36 miles to give my business to Branford. That was a wonderful first impression!! In McMahons defense, Im sure this was isolated and hopefully that salesperson is more attentive to other potential Clients. So, sorry McMahon but based on that experience Id rather take my business elsewhere.

My husband and I went to McMahon Ford to see about purchasing a used car as a second car for our family. We had a definite ceiling in price, but were also hoping to get a solid, safe and reliable car - and thats exactly what we got! We worked with Ed Maldonado and Kevin McMahon to find a car within our price range that checked all of the boxes that we require for our family. Everyone was so friendly and helpful - no pushiness, or up-selling; just honest, understanding, straightforward salesmanship. We picked up our new old car this morning, and could not be happier. The car we bought was originally purchased from McMahon and has been serviced there throughout its 7-year life - and looks and drives like a new car. It has been maintained beautifully by their shop - and we will continue to bring it there! Its also worth it to note that my brother bought a used Ford Explorer from McMahon Ford in 1999/2000 when his twins were born. They are turning 16 next year, and are currently learning to drive in that same car! I dont remember how old it was when he bought it, but 16 years later, its still running strong! Cant beat that... Long story short, when it comes time for us to purchase another car - new or used, well definitely be going back to McMahon. I cant recommend them enough!!

The staff here was great. I was traveling out of state on rte. 95 when my old car started hesitating strongly between gears repeatedly which made me think my transmission was going. I called them and from the phone call to after the service they couldnt have been any nicer. No trying to rip me off like happens at some dealers, esp with women. In fact the service manager took it for a test drive and said it was running fine. Could have spent over an hour running diagostic but said it was not necessary. Not sure what happened but no charge. Then they glued my rear view mirror which had fallen off the day before after trying to glue and then tape it on. Only charge was for that. They showed me good place for lunch too. They are honest and have great customer service. Kudos to them.

I recently purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion from Kevin. I can’t even begin to say how happy I am with Kevin and his entire staff. I was in an extreme situation where I needed a new car immediately. Kevin went above and beyond to find the car I wanted with the exact upgrades that I “had” to have! He was able to keep my payments manageable and was on top of the car search, keeping me posted every step of the way…. To say I was happy with my experience at McMahon Ford would be an understatement! I was thrilled and all smiles….I can’t thank them enough and brag about my experience to anyone and everyone who will listen!!!!! I had been to several dealerships and not one compared to the customer service that Kevin and the entire staff showed me during my shopping experience….

Very displeased w policies and lack of customer service. We have had nothing but problems with our Flex (will be trading it soon) and the straw that broke the camels back was being charged $110 to diagnose a DVD player (the second one mind you) that wont shut off.Guess what, they figured out that it wont shut off...and now it will cost me $700 for a new one...and its ony been installed for 6 months! I get better service from Best Buy! Bottom line, stay away from any Ford product...clearly Derek Jeter and Mike Rowe are being paid way to much money to tell people how great Ford is.

Thank you Chris and Denise for contacting me and addressing my concern per the below, I appreciate your concern and willingness to assist. Its so comforting to know that McMahon Ford is willing to allow me and my family continue to drive my car as it stalls in traffic and moves out of drive as they cannot diagnose the problem and let us continue to drive the brand new vehicle we bought in 2013. Very professional staff, great service dept and local ownership all combine to make this a dealership we have no problem recommending to friends and family. Low turn-over over employees breeds confidence. Our salesperson was the same we worked with 3 years ago and was totally prepared to help us even though we walked in without calling. Remembered our names and our vehicles!! He also provided very thorough delivery
