COMPLAINT FOR DANBURY, CT BABIES R US! : Just went to Babies R us in Danbury, CT tonight (45 min drive from where we live) to buy the Fisher Price Starlight Cradle n Swing in the cocoa pink theme. I just opened the box (which they gave us an extra 10% off because it was previously opened. And they didnt have one that wasnt. There was only the floor model and the one we bought) and 1st: The screws are in a plastic zip lock bag, with metal shavings on them. Telling us they have already been used. 2nd: The metal structure pieces have scratches on the ends... telling us its already been put together. 3rd the seat cushion has some type of dried stuff on it. So does one of the mobile pieces - ALL over the piece. 4th: There are NO directions in the box to put it together. 5th: there are scratches and scuffs on other parts of the swing.We drive 45 minutes to Danbury tonight WITH our 2 year old daughter, so I can use the 20% off coupon I have which expires TODAY. And we get a USED swing! If I didnt have the coupon and we didnt get the extra 10% off for the box being opened already we would have paid $159.99 PLUS tax for a USED swing with scuffs, scratches and dried stuff on it!!!! What the hell? Now I have to drive all the way back there to return it and see if they will give me a NEW one! I am not paying this much money for a USED swing. If I wanted a USED one I would go onto craigslist and get the one I saw on there for $50.00!!!!! PLUS it costs us $10 in gas to drive there and back. So it will cost us another $10 in gas to return it. Then ANOTHER $10 in gas to pick up the NEW one when they get it in. So $30 in gas for a NEW swing. Way to go Danbury, CT Babies R Us for upsetting an 8 month pregnant woman that has already gone into preterm labor and is suppose to be resting and not going out alot.

Small store. Didnt have much. Though its the same store/company as toys r us, we had to go to toys r us for something they shouldve carried, like a mattress. On top of that you couldnt walk from one end of babies r us to toys r us, you have to go outside and go in through another entrance for the other store.

Its a typical BRU as it carries everything, the service was awesome. I dont recall who helped my wife and I, but she was patient, helpful, and honestly great to talk to. An opportunity we saw was having more people on the floor to help educate on certain items. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our experience.
