This place always smells like old rotting fish. Ive been living in the area for 3 years now and I avoid this store as much as possible. I only go when I am too lazy to go anywhere else, and sometimes even then I wont go, Ill skip watever I need. It smells throughout the entire store. The service is mediocre at best. Most of the staff lack in any sense of urgency and they mostly have that lazy, low class "I dont care about anything or anyone except me and my friends" attitude. And Im not talking about the high school age kids working...I mean the adults also. This attitude is characterized by them having to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledge you standing there ready to be checked out. The lines are ALWAYS long at check out even at 9:30 on a Saturday night...who knew Stop and Shop was a local hot spot! ::insert sarcastic smile here:: The pricing is more expensive than other area stores but is comparable to other S&S stores. POutsde of the disgusting permeating smell in every corner of the store it seems to be clean but that smell makes me wonder and look harder for lurking problems. Overall a bad place to shop...I prefer Price Rite down the street 2 miles or Big Y 5 miles away....S&S may be 1/2 mile form my house but its not worth my business!

I always go shopping here and spend a good amount at this store. The staff is usually very friendly but today I actually had a really bad experience. I did my large shopping and when I got home I noticed I was missing a few item and if hadnt bee obvious daily stuff I probably would not have noticed it. I figured a bag or items were left at the register and called the store and was told to swing by and they would give me the items. So today I did and the person who helped me was so condescending as if I was stealing and when I confronted her she started laughing. So I asked for the manager and he just gave me a blank stare as in "So?" I will only go there for small things and if I am pressed for time.

Sometimes I shop here but the women there are very rude. And not well mannered the place is filthy and stinks! I always have a hard time shopping for the groceries there because they give me problems. And the people there are very racist. I even worked at stop and shop and I had older people that was ahead of me treat me much more differently than others. You cant even talk to the managers without feeling uncomfortable. Ive had numerous girls come talk to me about how they dont feel comfortable talking to the manger because he has sticky fingers (if u get the jus of what Im saying ) You dont want to shop THERE !!!

this place should be emptied and re-staffed! they are slow hardly any cashiers (one many time during rush) everyone always calling out sick (but they dont get fired) selfie line glass ALWAYS gross, smudged and the newest attribute... its stinky! i dont go here anymore... this place is a joke and S&S should do something about it.

Love this place. Can find things here at a lesser price than at other stores I shop at and things I cant find at other stores. The majority of staff is always pleasant and helpful. I guess if you demand things you might get a bristled answer - who can say.

Not enough cashiers for a busy Saturday, and 3 out of 4 are for "12 items or less." If you have a larger order, prepare to wait in a long line. This place needs more Saturday help and better management!
