Short: No customer service, useless cell phone insurance, but a good place to recycle electronics and run. Long: Ive been a best buy customer for years, got my phones there because geek squad protection used to mean something. The employees used to care about selling their products, and corporate gave them the ability to match prices with online competition. It made me pretty sad that they closed the best buy nearest to me so I came here hoping they could do the things I needed. 1, I had a $50 gift card and I figured that would get me a fair bit into a monitor and make it competitive with online stores. 2, I needed to get my phone repaired, as the plastic over the camera had snapped and was making the focus function not work very well. 3, I had a printer to recycle. I went over to the monitors and took a look at them. All of them that werent in demo mode had a video on them that looked like it had been shot with a camcorder in a movie theater that was out of sync with the projector. There were no employees there during the half hour or so I looked, but there was an employee with the Tvs. When I asked an employee about it I was told, "the manufacturers dont pay us to display them so we dont". I guess youre not interested in selling them either then, I wouldnt buy something that looked like that. Oh well, onto geek squad to see about my phone. I went over to the desk but there was nobody there. A helpful guy from mobile came over and went into the back to find the geek squad guy. He came out and asked if I had an appointment. I did not. He said he couldnt help me, they didnt do that there anymore, and gave me a brochure. I said that was ********, I had always had it handled at geek squad. (At this point I was loosing my patience.) He then said he could do it but if his appointment showed up he would have to leave me to it. He then informed me it would be a $145 deductible to have the phone fixed and I left. Whats the point of having the insurance if it still costs the same to have the phone repaired? Yes, I said I had to recycle a printer. My friend brought it in, dropped it off at the customer service desk and said that the lady there was very friendly. I was sorry you guys were closing stores but now I know the store you closed near me was the exception. Best Buy doesnt deserve to be in business anymore because youre doing nothing to earn your customers business. I found a beautiful monitor online by the way and it not being displayed at all is better than it being displayed badly.

I have had good and bad experiences with Best Buy. The Good When I need to return or exchange a product (within the specified time of course), they are always prompt and dont give me any hassles. There is one specific employee here, JP, who is amazing and is always friendly and tries to get us the lowest prices on items. There are many great products available, and they will generally price match anything, even if its on Amazon. The Bad Its not as bad as it used to be, but almost every single time we would visit the store, there was some knucklehead in the car stereo department who wanted to test the stereos with a super thumpy bass at the loudest level they could. And not just for a few seconds to check how it sounds, like several minutes. Weve walked out several times because of that. I also just tried to call the store to ask about a certain item in stock, and the lady had no idea what I was talking about. And I suspect she just checked the website to see if they carried it. Im not even sure I got someone in the store I called. And what is up with the DirecTV people?? Theyre like those annoying mall salesmen who accost you while youre trying to shop. Almost every time we go in, they try to get us to listen to their spiel about DirecTV. Boo. Overall, I will still shop here. But I probably wont be calling to ask about a product that might be in stock, as I could apparently just find out myself faster and easier by going on the website, and I will be avoiding eye contact with the DirecTV guys. And if you see someone with a black eye in the car stereo department, that was probably me.

I am leaving this 1-star review on Google for my recent experience at Best Buy store 209 in Westminster, Colorado because they won’t post my review on their company website. I purchased an open-box sound bar from Store 209 a couple weeks ago because I don’t like paying full price on accessories for my core products. I took the unit home, hooked it up, and realized the stock digital audio cable hadn’t been included. I called the store to let them know what happened, but instead of resolving the issue by providing me with another audio cable I was instead told to pack everything back up and return it to the store. Seriously, Best Buy? Y’all forgot the digital audio cable with my first open-box soundbar and were more than happy to provide me with a free replacement that time, but not now? So what gives? As an ex-employee I know how much their in-house Insignia products actually cost the organization, and it seems to me losing a couple dollars giving away an in-house audio cable to clear a $500 open-box soundbar with cosmetic damage off your books would be an easy resolution. But, for whatever reason Store 209 decided they wanted the product back instead. Some consistency would be nice. Fortunately, in my disappointment, I did some comparison shopping online and found better pricing for other comparable products I had purchased available on Amazon so I just came back to the store and returned everything. Best Buy store 209 dropped the ball and missed a customer opportunity. Hopefully their agents will be better trained to come up with resolutions that don’t cost them sales in the future.

If I could give zero stars, I would. First, this Best Buy store leaked my personal data by not wiping clean a device that I had returned. If the person who bought the device hadnt been so honest and nice, it could have ruined my identity or credit score. Then, they offered to discount a few things (as much as they could) to make up for the data breach, and since I was buying a new construction house, I said okay. I bought appliances here, had them delivered.... and a few months later discovered the refrigerator hadnt been installed properly, and it had leaked underneath the floor, caused mold and damaged the walls. As if that wasnt bad enough, I had to call almost repeatedly FOR MONTHS, was stalled by their "negotiation" company FOR MONTHS, and it was only when I looked up the corporate office and called THEM that I was finally given the name of the insurance company (Auto Owners) of their delivery company. Now Im being told that the delivery company didnt actually deliver the fridge, but it was subcontracted. I still havent been paid the $1,900 in damages. This Best Buy experience - and dealing with all the other entities - has been THE WORST consumer experience I have every gone through. Use this store and this company very much at your own risk.
