This place is so so. The prices are not that great but are competitive. If you go during the week in the time frame of 9:00 to 5:00 pm the customer service is awful. Go at night or on the weekend. There is one person that all they seem to do is stay at the front and work the register. They have little or no knowledge of beer or spirits. If you ask them a queetion, they usually do not know the answer nor will they try to find out for you. All they seem to do is work the counter. The other thing that bugs me about this place is they have shelf after shelf of no name brand beers that no one has heard of, thus they do not have the space for the traditional brands, ie Molson Golden, Labatts, Schlitz, Falstaff, Colt 45 Malt Liquor, etc. The one good thing is they have a large inventory and it will save you from driving to AppleJacks.

I love this hole-in-the-wall place. The outside it looks like a typical Colfax liquor store. For what they are they have a great selection of beer. Every once and a while you can also find a real gem if you are a beer enthusiast. Last year I got a bottle of Russian River Supplication and they have Southern Tier Brewing on and off. The staff is a rugged looking bunch but dont be fooled. They are very helpful and seem very knowledgeable when it comes to beer, wine and liquor. This is a prime example of dont judge a book by its cover. I would take this place over Applejacks any day!

Nice place if you happen to be white or non homeless. Service varies greatly upon your appearance. All clean shaven and set for a night out and its super. Come in with stubble and dirty work clothes and get treated completely different. Oh well beer is over priced the wine and spirits are priced exceptionally competitive. I remember when it was still a drug store. I would use the post office there and the barbershop was alot of fun. But just like life everything changes

A go-to for cheap Avery and Coors. Great selection, hours, parking, pricing, not sketchy. All you could want in a local liquor store. Lots of craft, equal selection for beer wine and liquor, tastings seem to be pretty regular. I first went here for convenience as my first liquor store in Colorado but after I moved further in town I realized how good I had it at Philnor, so much that Im making a decent drive out of the way for it.

This is one of my favorite liquor stores. Simply amazing selection. The staff is always helpful and very friendly. Its nice to be able to get in and out quickly. Philnor doesnt look like much from the outside, but the selection and staff inside will make you happy to have stopped in. If you need something hard to find, this is the place, and if they dont have it they might get it for you.

I drive by 2 liquor stores to shop here. Best prices, selection, and service. It isnt pretty but they deliver value with a smiling face. I like bourbon and Dan the owner will pull me aside and let me know when something special has come in. Kinda of the "Cheers" of liquor stores. Give it a try and see what you think.

Awesome selection, lots of craft beers, good stock of liquor, great inventory of wine. They also do tastings several times a week, and have very knowledgeable owners and staff. Much higher quality establishment than you would ever expect to find on west colfax next to all of the hourly rate motels. Check. It. Out.

Ive driven by this place a hundred times. From the outside it doesnt look like much, so I was really surprised when I came inside and saw the selection and inventory they have. Im here for the twice weekly wine tasting. Dan, the owner, is pouring and giving us lots of good info. He knows his stuff.

Great local Lakewood/West Denver liquor store. Theyve got an excellent beer selection including some local Colorado beers, and some harder to find beer bombers. The owner is really nice and knowledgeable. The staff is friendly. Ive always had good experiences at Philnor.

Looks way less awesome from the outside, a but dingy. But inside is the best scotch selection I have ever seen in person and at highly competitive prices. I would watch ralfy on youtube to choose a scotch, as the staff was very friendly but not too knowledgeable.

Pretty great selection for such a small building. Great wine selection and even a nice craft beer selection. Parking along Oak is not ideal, they should just remove the parking spaces there, as I feel it is an accident waiting to happen.
