“Applejack Big Dog Spirits Manager Attacks Disabled Customer Over $7 Wine Return!” Be sure to get your product and purchase right with Applejack management before you pay. Applelack is geared to pull out the hammer on you. Their training of the 6 foot 10 inch Big Dog manager for spirits threated, stole, shouted profanity, and applied physical force toward me while I simply tried to return a $7 product for a refund with the normal exchange of receipts. As a Disabled Person my car was parked at Applejack’s front doors in Handicap Parking with the plaque displayed. My return of the $7 French Lu Lu one day after purchase with receipt must have interrupted the Big Dog’s fantasy football or surfing. You must double and triple check Applejack point postings including a false 90 rating for Lu Lu. Applejack management has handicap parking in front of its doors to lure customers but this all went far away when the Big Dog sarcastically shouted “Move your car! It’s too bad you’re hurt!” Fantasy footballer Big Dog was interrupted so he chose to use his size, anger, and frustration to intimidate me in front of customers with his Lu Lu in hand. I remained calm waiting for my return receipt in front of store cameras. I began to document his aggression while others watched in amazement. I consistently asked for my $7 return. I was not given my receipts. Big Dog stole my credit card, hat, and papers. The Big Dog tried to use his 6’ – 10” ego in full view of customers to finally shove my belongings in my face with my credit card lost in it. He and another dog pushed me through the exit doors. I remained calm as I am trained with my condition. The Big Dog shouted repeatedly, "Now I have witnesses! I will call the police!”. I did not return to my car for fear of being followed by the Big Dog so I went to a neighboring business to continue my documentation. I completed it and drove to meet Wheatridge Police officers after my 911 Dispatch and the beginning of their report. The Wheatridge Police report will help support my documentation and review of Applejack’s business actions. The officers reviewed my documentation and took action against the Big Dog and Applejack to get my receipt property back without further personal contact by me. The officers were my protection given my disability. I parked in the same parking space with them. The Big Dog remained at the entrance as the officers obtained my property. Does Applejack management stand behind the Big Dog actions? The Friday night fantasy football player must represent the CEO since the Big Dog was quick to give me the Owner’s card for documentation in view of store checkout cameras and fellow customers. It is likely other management and employees oppose my professional opinion. The Big Dog does not want me to return again. Still the other managers owe the neighboring night businesses in this shopping center an apology after Wheatridge police officers took action against Applejack and the Big Dog on my behalf. My last question to the CEO is this; why is this Big Dog your employee? Is he related to you or another upper manager to secure his fantasy football position? It is more obvious you trained him to retaliate when a product is returned. Anyone can assume who will be Applejacks next victim. This review spreads to Yelp and others are receiving this “review”. Do you want more? Review the police report before trying to enter the store with a return or do any business with them. The Yelp review is available. Please try to protect your consumer rights before dealing with these corporate owners who use unyielding force in reverse of simple service. You will quickly have the local police at your side to help protect you.

Usually I have a great experiences at this store but something happen today that I have to share. I went into Applejacks this afternoon and found that they had a rare bottle of bourbon in the back that I had been searching for. I asked the rep on the floor if I could purchase one bottle in which he stated that he needed to speak to his manager. The same person came back a couple minutes later stating that those bottles are saved for people that shop there often and that I couldnt have one. I accepted his response and left. The issue I have is that the manager never came out from the back to speak to me. If he did I would have gave him the business card of the floor rep that I speak to there on a weekly basis (usually in the mornings). The manager didnt look me up in the computer either to check my purchase history, If he did he would have seen that I have spent several thousands of dollars there since the beginning of the year. Being an avid bourbon drinker/collector, its easy to do. This store does have a good selection. great (floor rep) customer service and good prices, but if you are looking for more than five bucks off from time to time for making large purchases and your loyalty, there are many other liquor stores in Denver to chose from.

We had such a wonderful experience using Applejack, specifically Lisa Risoli-Moomey, for our wedding alcohol order! We were able to supply our own bar at our wedding, and it was an easy choice to use Applejack. I originally submitted our Event Planning Questionnaire online, but never received a response in my Inbox. Two weeks later, I stopped by to drop off the questionnaire, and the staff told me to check my Spam email box from the initial questionnaire, as they often get diverted. I found their original response back in my Spam box, but we didn’t need it since I ended up going to the store in person. We made numerous changes to our order throughout the process, and Lisa was more than accommodating, always quick to respond to emails, pleasant, and professional. Ordering all of our alcohol from Applejack made our open bar affordable with great alcohol options for our guests. I would definitely recommend Applejack and their party planning team for any of your alcohol needs.

Prices seemed fair, but not amazing. The store is large and well lit, and the checkout process was fairly quick given how busy it was. I didt spend a lot of time there, but the selection seemed good. With these positive things, why 2 stars? Because, unbelievably, they organize their wine in alphabetical order. My head explodes thinking about how they came to this decision. I happened to be looking for a Rodney Strong Zinfandel, so the alphabetical ordering actually helped me...but had they not carried that brand, I would have been stuck in a sea of wine trying to find the next zin...It really makes no sense at all to alphabetize the wine by brand...I dont go in looking for a wine that starts with a B...I go in looking for a certain type of wine. How utterly stupid. Maybe Im missing something, but I have zero interest in returning to the store - at least not to buy wine. I didnt check, but I can only hope they dont do the same with their liquors.

This place is awesome! They have huge selection of every major type of alcohol, from the incredibly cheap, to the shockingly expensive. I found this place originally in a search for wine made of other fruit (blueberries, cherries, etc.). I had searched more than 10 stores and my search ended here. The greatest thing about this place is that the employees know their stuff. There is a freakin information desk with very knowledgeable people to answer any question or give any suggestion you might want. I have gotten suggestions on beer and wine and I have been pleasantly surprised every time. They certainly dont just suggest the most expensive one that will make them the most. They listen to what qualities and drinks you like and what you dislike and make recommendations based on that. Their selection is huge and I would think it very unlikely that, whatever you might be looking for, can be found there!
