1 star is still not enough justice to describe the experience I had at Colpar Hobbies off Wadsworth Blvd and Havanna. I walked in on a Sunday morning, driving all the way from the other side of town, to find an adapter for my battery so I could fly the new Flightline 1200mm Spitfire that they just came out with. I walk into the store and ask for assistance with finding the adapter and I am pointed to a gentleman who is standing behind the north counter. I ask him if he has the parts I need and he has them individually but non are assembled. I ask how long it would take and how much money it would be for him to solder one together for me. He said that he would not do it. I was completely thrown back by the response and asked why he would not do the solder when I was willing to pay for parts and labor. The guys response to me was, "We are busy on weekends and I dont have the time to do it." There was 3 customers in the store including myself and the staff was not rushing around trying to help anyone. The man helping me was not busy before I walked up to him and he did not help anyone when I was leaving the store. He had a solder kit sitting on the desk and refused to do any work. It would take 10 minutes tops to help me out and he flat out said he wont do it. I am not harping the store really it is more the worker who just treated me with utter disrespect that has me going off. I can promise you this, I drove all the way across town again to a store that opened up later and they did it for me no questions asked. It is the little things that make the difference and the guy who handles model RC parts at Colpar Hobbies did not handle the small things at all.

I called them to have them look at my helicopter gyro and transmitter settings.. The first time I called they said I could bring it in the next day and they would look at it. Then I called the next day and he said that they charge 30 dollars an hour to help people set stuff up. He also just told me to call the place I bought it from and ask them my questions, because he had never heard of my transmitter. He didnt sound like he even wanted to take a look at it or try to help. Other hobby shops I have been to have knowledgeable people there who offered their help and knowledge for free, because they wanted to share there knowledge. I thought thats how this hobby was supposed to be. Friendly and helpful. Instead they just want to take advantage of people and make as much money as they can. I dont plan on going back to that store anytime soon!

One of the best selection of tabletop miniatures in the Denver area. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have actually had them tell me when something is not the best quality or when they would recommend going with a cheaper brand of the same item that works just as well or better than the more pricey ootions. I would definitely recommend this store. Its worth the drive and they can special order a ton of different items if you are looking for something they dont carry! If your looking for painting advice or solutions for your Minis or tabletop Armies Will has helped me out many times. Highly recommend this place. Ive been a customer for 20+ years

I literally just stood there for over 20 minutes listening to the manager, Jeff, go on and on, advising a customer how to get away with flying their RC plane, helicopter, or drone without insurance at the state parks. The entire time he knew I was waiting for him to place a special order for me. He even asked halfway through his conversation if I was in fact waiting for him. As I started to walk away and leave, he then attempted to help me. Sorry, going to take my $900 purchase somewhere else, and I will never come to see you for my spare parts. Great job losing a customer. more than anything, I wish I could have the last 20 minutes of my life back...

Rude staff. Called for a part and never took my name. Went in, was never greeted or asked if I needed help, despite no one else being in the store. Went to the counter to get my part and was rudely told to go to the cashier counter. Cashier was very rude and asked my name, told them no one asked for my name over the phone. Was rudely told, "well then how do we know who the part was set aside for," told them not my fault no one took my name. Bought the part anyway. Not heard towards remote control cars, go elsewhere. After being treated so rudely I remembered why my husband and I stopped shopping there.

I read the past ratings to see where i wanted to buy my RC parts and there were mixed reviews. So i went with distance from my residence. Looks like i choose wisely! Every aspect of my experience was great. Even when they were not sure of the product i purchased out of state they took the time to research it before sending me on my way with incorrect accessories. Oh minus price, it was a little high. But, its a hobby people, hobbies cost money. So those of you writing bad reviews may want to have some patients or find a less expensive/exciting hobby

Expensive, but if it exists, they will probably have it in stock. You can drive south to Colorado Springs and save 20%, but factor in the traffic and aggravation. Check Ebay and online sources first, unless you have to have it today. Do your homework before you go, if your looking for resin or photoetch, the stock on hand is very disorganized but they will unlock the case and let you rifle through what is in the cardboard boxes. If you absolutely have to have it today, and pay a little more, then Colpar is your store.

I am a former full-scale airplane flight instructor. I was interested in learning to fly R/C helicopters, and decided to visit this location to check it out. The advice I received saved me hundreds of dollars and hours of frustration. I am now a relatively competent R/C helicopter beginner, and am ready to step up to a more capable machine. If not for this shop, I would not be where Im at today. In addition to that, their prices are competitive with what youll find online. I highly recommend these guys.

Remember if you buy from someone else i.e. ebay dont expect a lot of help from these people because there in business to make money and dont like wasting their time answering questions from other dealers you bought from. Thats only natural. If you have a question about an item you bought somewhere else ask the people you bought the item from. If you cant then thats just tough.. But dont blame Colpar because they ignore your question on something you bought somewhere else..All businesses are that way.

Colpar hobbies refused to honor my ValPak coupon, even though it clearly stated "Valid on anything in the store". I tried to use it on sale merchandise. You cant honor a coupon but can afford to have 5 employees on the clock chatting about the armies that they play? Seriously?? I suggest shopping somewhere else. Amazon has better prices and much better customer service. Its no surprise that brick-and-mortar stores are on their way out.
