I was initially very satisfied with my experience with celebrity tattoo, but the more time I spent there the more I realised this place was not worth my time and money. I initially started going there because a good friend of mine worked there. Initially the staff were always friendly and very enjoyable. One of the last times I went, however, was awful. I showed up around 4:30-5ish to get a tattoo done that I had already discussed with my artist, who said it was fine to come in. When I got in the place was packed. My artist was getting ready to start doing my tattoo and he was told he needed to do another tattoo, since she was there before me. I was cool waiting, I understood how it went. About two hours went by and I stood around and joked with a couple of the artists and looked at their work, joked around with some of the customers. Since I had been there a while (and I had tax money to waste) I decided to get my nipples pierced. The piercer seemed like she wanted to get it done quickly, a little impatient, but I understood because she had a cast on her foot. She finished, gave me very precise aftercare instructions, and I was satisfied. I continued to wait for my artist to finish his tattoo. He didnt finish until close to 8pm, which was their closing time on that day. Since he had promised me the tattoo that day, he asked a few artists if someone could stay with him so he could do my tattoo (which took no more than 30 mins when he was finally able to do it.) They all refused, though they had had my artist stay with them late multiple times so they could get that last minute customer in. I had wasted 3 hours of pretty valuable time and driven all the way to Lakewood for nothing. Although my artist took about 20 bucks off the tattoo for me, I was still upset. I only went in one time after that, and the receptionist/piercer and apprentice were both very snotty with me. I later found out that if one looks carefully at the camera in the piercing room, it appears to face inward, with no content to be recorded on the paperwork you fill out. The owner is also a huge pervert, who hits on any female that walks through the door. He also tried to cheat my friend out of his last check when he finally left to a different shop. If you like rude receptionists and possibly being filmed by a perverted owner, this place is the place for you. If you enjoy ETHIC I recommend finding another shop. Biggest pro: Artists are incredible, and know what they are doing. BUT they keep pushing their best artists away.

WENT IN TONIGHT-7/12--FOR A FINAL TOUCHUP ON MY EXOTIC TATTOO DONE BY JULIE..SHE DID A GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS,,,,FILLED IT IN TOTALLY. LOOKS GREAT. AREAS THAT THE INK DIDNT TAKE TO NOW SEEM COVERED FOR GOOD..MOST PLEASED! SAW JULIE AGAIN TODAY(6/11)..TO TOUCH UP AN EXOTIC TATTOO...GREAT JOB BY JULIE. MAKE THE TATTOO DARKER..REALLY STANDS OUT...EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR BEFORE THE TATTOO WAS EVEN STARTED. JULIE IS PATIENT AND VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT YOU NEED/WANT. GREAT JOB! went in today 6/1/to enlarge my marijuana leaf tattoo..artist Julie did a great job..bigger and bolder than before! going in again today 5/27 to have Julie do another tattoo. shes done a marijuana leaf and tribal tattoo both look great. Ive had 3 piercings done by kelly and jasmine..nicely done. i recommend this tattoo shop..professional and well trained artists. TODAY, I WENT TO HAVE KELLY PIERCE MY NIPPLE AND BELLYBUTTON, SHE WAS GREAT..FRIENDLY. SHE EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE PROCESS. MARKED THE AREAS AND DID THE NIPPLE FIRST. THEN THE BELLYBUTTON, BOTH LOOK GREAT. SHE FULLY EXPLAINED THE AFTERCARE...STRAIGHT FORWARD. OVERALL A PLEASANT GOOD EXPERIENCE. I CHOSE TATTOO ARTIST JULIE FOR MY LOWER BACK TRIBAL TATTOO..MY VERY FIRST. I SHOWED UP ON A THURSDAY. THE PLACE WAS VERY NEAT AND ORDERLY. IT WAS A CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT...A LOT OF THEIR ARTWORK IS ON DISPLAY. JULIE CAME OVER AND INTRODUCED HERSELF..VERY UPBEAT AND POLITE. SHE EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE PROCESS FOR ME. SHE ENLARGED THE TATTOO PIC I GAVE HER SO THAT I COULD CHOOSE THE CORRECT SIZE. SHE EXPLAINED THE PROCESS STEP BY STEP ..EVEN DURING THE TATTOO SESSION. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND MADE THE PROCESS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE..ESPECIALLY SINCE I AM A NEWBIE. OVERALL, JULIE WAS FANTASTIC AND THE SHOP REPRESENTS ITSELF VERY WELL. THE TATTOO LOOKS GREAT..JUST AS I HAD WANTED AND EXPECTED IT TO BE.

I went here at the suggestion of a friend a little over a year ago to get my first tattoo. It was small and simple but was important to me. The artist was condescending, uninformative, and seemed very annoyed. She gave me no after care instructions even though I told her many times it was my first tattoo. It healed poorly and had many large gaps in it. I went in with a friend who was getting her belly button pierced so I figured Id ask about it while I was there. The man I showed it to was friendly and told me it just needed to be touched up. He went to get the artist for me. She was even more irritable than the first time but told me to wait while she got everything ready. I went to the restroom while she was setting up and when I came out she was talking to the owner. Neither of them saw me come up behind them. I overheard them talk badly about me and the simple tattoo, the owner even said that they never guaranteed the tattoo was going to look good. I got the touch up and got out of there with no desire to ever return. I have gotten three other, more detailed and larger tattoos since at significantly better parlors and never had anything come close to the horrible experience here. I will never be going back to this place, although the piercers are very friendly and informative I will not be giving any more money to the jerk of an owner. You are putting art on a persons body forever, you better guarantee its going to look good.

I got my septum pierced there by Kelly, and she did an amazing job. However I just took my sister there to get her tragus pierced, and the girl who did the piercing seemed inexperienced and caused the piercing to be more painful than it should have been. First off, she pushed extremely hard which caused bleeding (I understand there will be some blood, but this was excessive). After the needle was in she tried inserting the jewelry into the tapered end of the needle, and after multiple failed attempts she pulled the needle back through and inserted the jewelry through the flat end which she should have done to begin with. My sister laid on the table for a good 20 minutes before she was actually done as the piercer had a lot of trouble closing the jewelry and putting on the ball. I felt so bad for my sister as she laid there squirming in pain and trying not to scream. After we were all done my sister proceeds to tell me she was working under a mentor which did not surprise me because this girl had no idea what she was doing. She was very nice and very well educated on cleaning procedures, but as far as piercing goes Im glad I decided not to get my industrial pierced. Celebrity you are a great tattoo/piercing parlor that is always clean when I come in, but please make sure your staffed piercers arent novices!!
