Before I found Mantra I had been tattooed by four different artists at four different shops. What drew me to this particular shop was the atmosphere. There isnt that "holier than thou" attitude here, when you come in you are greeted right away and asked how you can be helped. I personally get my work done by Geno who is always lovely and eager with ideas but I honestly would feel comfortable getting tattooed by any of the artists- and thats saying a lot. I have gotten my last six tattoos here and will continue to do so even when I move out of the Lakewood area next month. I also want to give some praise to Luke, their piercer, as well as he has helped me countless times. He pierced my septum which healed like a breeze and even helped remove piercings that were rejecting from another shop and explained to me what went wrong. He is also doing a ton to step up their jewelry selection as well which is nice to see. I get asked almost daily where I get my work done and I never hesitate to suggest Mantra to everyone. Ive found my shop for life.

Amazing work! This is the cleanest most skilled tattoo shop Ive ever been in. Tyler Hollyfield is midway through a large piece in my back and shoulder and I have gotten endless compliments. Everyone who sees my back who has any ink immediately tells me that the line work is amazing. It is. Generally people will compliment but when over a dozen people who are fully inked tell you the same thing as soon as your tat hits their eye you know its true! People who had initially referred me to their friends and families instead of Mantra were asking for his name and the name of the shop! The setting is comfortable and clean but still edgy and old school. They make you feel like a friend or family and are honest in their pricing and consultations. I was there for some time and every piece I saw was done better than you would expect! I cant wait to go back for more!!

I went to get my navel pierced, and like any good person should do i did my re-search and looked a the reviews and they did not lie. the place was great, grated its not located in the best location but dont judge a book by its cover. The people there were friendly, Luke was very friendly and made me pretty comfortable. he made sure to go over what he was doing and was very quick and clean about it. I would reccomend this place to anyone. He gave me his card and told me to come back in 4-6 months to check it out and see how my piercing is doing, I defiantly will. UPDATE: so it has been about a year since ive had my piercing and its doing great. i didnt go back to have him change it, I did that on my own and it was just fine. cleaned it like he told me too (wash with regular unscented soap like dial and some saline solution) and it still looks good

I felt extremely uncomfortable here and judged my friend was considering getting a peircing there and preffered the jewelry there over others but felt so uncomfortable she didnt want to pursue it. I felt extremely pressured into going down a size on my peircing to the point where it felt like I didnt even have a say in it. I just wanted to get out of there so badly I paid for the new jewelry and went to a new shop for my friend and immediately put my old jewelry in that was the size I wanted and only asked for the entire time. The new peircer also mentioned that the new jewelry they were so determined would be better for me than my original one was too tight and would have irritated me more than the thickness of my original ever had. I wouldnt go here if you dont like to feel judged or pressured Into buying something you dont like.

I researched and visited about 8 different Tattoo Studios, in the neighborhood, before choosing Mantra. Hands down the best, cleanest studio with a great variety of different styles and skills to back it up. Great artists, with a good attitude to go with it - no big egos here, everyone is very cool and legit. Kidd has worked on both my sleeves, both chest panels and is now working on my half leg piece, with the other fresh leg and back piece down the road. And to top it off, I personally think they have one of the more honest rates per hour to go with it all. Head into Denver and youll pay a lot more, which is not for the tattoo - but location. If youve come across Mantra tattoo, then look no further - Your in Great Hands!

Ben Parker is amazing!! Ive been to a couple different shops in Denver but wanted to find a place and artist that could design and Do a full sleeve. I sent him some pictures of tattoos I liked and went in with no set design. We talked about different ideas and then he drew on my arm the design. Ive been there three time for about 10 hours and have much more to do, but I love the direction it is heading in. Bens line work is amazing, I have had random strangers comment on how great he did. I definitely recommend him to all my friends and clients. Go, you wont be disappointed!

9/26/2012 Cody is an award winning artist and my tattoo demonstrates why. I considered myself a very difficult customer because of my attention to detail. Nonetheless, Cody was patient with me, allowed me to change the artwork once, and request yet a second revision. The quality of his work is outstanding. It could not be any better. In addition, he is kind and caring and fun. Ive been to Luke for almost all of my piercings and he is, without a doubt, the BEST. All of my piercings have healed so fast and Luke makes you feel really comfortable. The atmosphere is always so inviting and everyone is extremely friendly. I remember the second piercing I went here for, Luke was outside and noticed me digging for something in my car and told me I didnt need my ID since hed pierced me before. Its little things like the piercer remembering me after one visit that make me such a happy and loyal customer.

I was referred to Mantra by a friend that was a former tattoo artist and piercer. I dont like needles at all but I love piercings! I went and got my rook pierced. The girl that pierced my rook was so good that I didnt even realize that she had finished pushing the needle through when she was done. I was waiting for the real pain and there was practically none! She was great! Im going back soon to get my belly button soon. They are so great and sterile I would suggest them to anyone who wants a tattoo or piercing.

I went in to see Luke for a piercing after two of my friends were pierced by him. I was a first timer and felt a little nervous about the whole thing but Luke made me feel totally comfortable. He explained everything he was going to do and was so personable that I totally let go of all of my nervous energy while he pierced my nose. I would absolutely recommend that anyone looking to get pierced should see Luke at Mantra. The place was clean, the atmosphere was fun and everyone working there was super friendly.
