I went to Tribal Rites today to get a tattoo of a quote on my upper inner arm and the entire experience was completely amazing. My tattoo artist was Amanda and from the beginning of my time there to the end, it was great. The tattoo looks really beautiful and Amanda was a really nice person. All throughout the procedure she was asking if I was okay, and having an actual conversation with me. During my tattoo I mentioned another tattoo that I had wanted (a small one on my wrist) and she said I could get it that day for only a little more, so I got that as well. Then I also was talking about my first tattoo and how the artist I got it from (at a different tattoo shop) said he couldnt darken it anymore for some reason or another, and Amanda says she could do that for me as well! All in all, I got tattoos in three different places and they all look completely amazing and exactly how I pictured them, if not better. And the price was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend Tribal Rites to anyone looking to get a quality tattoo in a great environment!

My sister and I are in town from NY and we wanted to get matching tattoos. We both have other tattoos and have a very high standard as to who we let put ink on our body. Right when we walked in the door we knew it was a good place, VERY clean and other tattoo artists and the front desk staff were awesome. Nate was AMAZING. Considering booking a trip back to finish my half sleeve with him. Alot of times people just tattoo for the money but his passion is unbelievable. To anyone in COLORADO or anywhere looking to get tattooed I would recommend Nate over and over. He made us so comfortable. Stayed late with us and made sure everything was perfect. He is very easy going but will make sure you get exactly what you want. He sat down with us and really listened to what we desired. Thank you so much Nate, good luck to you and everyone else in that shop. Hope to see you all soon!!!

Ive always loved Tribal Rites and have had many great piercing and tattoo experiences here. I got two dermal anchors in my lower back a little over three years ago and recently began having issues with them. After getting one removed for a bad infection, the other one began having problems shortly after. I went to Iris to get it removed and was told that the jewelry was literally rotting in my back which was causing the irritation. Ive always taken good care of these piercings and followed proper aftercare instructions, so Im completely puzzled as to why this happened. I even opted to pay more for what I thought was better quality jewelry. Im disappointed that the quality was not as good as I was led to believe. On the other hand, Ive had nothing but great experiences getting tattooed by Amanda. The shop is clean and the people are always friendly!

I love Tribal Rites! I have been there for nose piercings, conch piercings, and a few others. After my positive experience with their piercers, I decided to consider it for my first tattoo. I went in for an initial meeting with Nathan, discussed the tattoos (mine and my sisters), put down the deposit, and felt very confident going in for my tattoo. On the day of our tattoos, everything went great. They are very careful, very professional, knowledgable on the tattoo and its sizing/how it will adapt to your body, and completed both tattoos very timely! Not to mention, we got roman numerals, and the lines are perfectly straight and everything is very precise. The entire shop is completely spotless, and includes awards given for best tattoo and piercings. Would definitely go back! P.S. Nathan is a great artist!

I got my Tragus pierced at the westminster "location and the guy had no idea what he was doing; compared to other tragus piercings it took excruciatingly long. After about seven months I came to the Boulder tribal rites to get my tragus barbell changed. The piercer, in addition to rushing as fast as he could to change my priecing( even though I was the only one there and it was no where near closing time) could not get the barbell I wanted in so he put my original earring back in. I think the attempted changing of the earring might have hurt more than the piercing itself. After paying the $5 changing fee I went home and later that night cleaned my piercing only to have the ball COME OFF. He didnt even properly change it so that it was secure!! I will never go to another Tribal Rites again.

I went in yesterday to get my belly button pierced and when I first walked in the lady at the front desk was nice and it seemed very clean. I then got called to the back to get my piercing. I sat in the chair and the guy asked me which ear Im getting pierced. At first I thought he was kidding cause I came in to get my belly button done, but he was serious. So I told him I actually needed to get my belly button pierced. Then he put the dots on my belly button and I felt like it was a little crooked so I told him and he just explained my belly button was crooked. Overall the guy was very rude to me, and kept making other comments throughout the experience. I probably wont go back here.

They were quite rude when I went in for a consult. After calling ahead, I came in and went straight to the front counter where I told them who I was and why I was there. The woman behind the counter, without looking up yelled "who wants her" and both the available artist replied with "not me". Once they argued over who would talk to me, the artist I did talk to was very condescending. I left and never came back. My bother said his experience was similar to mine, but due to lack of time went ahead and got his tattoo done there anyways. The artist did not show him the final design on his back before beginning the tattoo, resulting in the WRONG bible verse tattooed.

Went into Tribal Rites to get a septum piercing this summer in late August. The man who does most of the piercings was a little rude, and when I was scared of the needle he brushed it off like it was no big deal. The piercings are pricey, and I paid about $70.00 total for it, which was okay if he wouldnt have SCREWED IT UP. Yeah, after he pierced it was like "oops, sorry its a little crooked." IT was insanely crooked and definitely didnt look decent, and he acted very unprofessional about it. I still was made to pay full price for the crooked nose ring. Effing stupid. Dont go here unless you want a crooked facial piercing youll be forced to pay full price for.

Nate was great. I am a disabled veteran from the Desert Storm era, and for more than twenty five years, Ive wanted to get a USMC tattoo with the eagle, globe, and anchor on my upper left arm. Not only was Nates design exactly what I wanted, but exceeded my expectations in every way! Nate Smalley is a very personable, professional, and talented artist, and I will recommend him to anyone I know from now on. Not only that, he did a beautiful mountain scene tattoo on my Daughters wrist on the same day, and she loves it. So, nothing but high praise for Tribal Rights and Piercing in Boulder, Coloado. Thanks again Nate for a great experience!
