SHOP AROUND BEFORE YOU SPEND A PENNY HERE! Advice I wish I would have listened to myself before I decided to make a trip to hobbytown. In this day and age I generally prefer to support the small business or family owned establishment. Today I purchased a small spectre x drone for the whopping price of $90. New to the drone community Ive done an adequate amount of research and decided to practice with a small quad before purchasing a larger one in a couple weeks. $90 didnt strike me as an unreasonable price at first, generally I expect to spend 10-15 dollars more when visiting smaller hobby stores, but I enjoy the physical presence of someone being there to answer a question, help guide you etc. (KEEP IN MIND NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS RETURN POLICY TO ME, AND IT IS NOT POSTED IN STORE. IT IS JUST ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR RECEIPT. THIS SHOULD BE EXPLAINED TO A CUSTOMER UPON PURCHASE AND DOES NOTHING BUT REFLECT EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.) I got home, opened the box, stuck the battery on the charger and started doing a little more research into my drone. $35.00 all over the internet. Walmart, target, cheaper on amazon. I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews, but this place needs to sincerely start price matching, ease up on their no refund no return after opening policy, or be prepared to shut doors across the country here shortly. Making a living is one thing, being completely oblivious to the current pricing market and not really caring about customer satisfaction is another. In the end I only have myself to blame, lesson learned, and after all this time, this experience has finally pushed me to own an amazon prime account. My RIDICULOUSLY overpriced toy and I will be looking elsewhere for deals from here on out.

We purchased a traxxus RC From this store. Staff was helpful. We werent told to grab a charger but not a huge deal had to go back the next day to get it. What REALLY set this store apart was the customer service from Dekker. When the car started making funny noises we took it in to have them look at it. Dekker not only problem solved it but showed my son how to fix it and gave him some other pointers on some things. A lot of adults would just fix it and not take the time to show a teenager how to fix it. I appreciate Dekkers help and will be a forever customer due to him. Being new to the RC world I am extremely thankful.

Do not spend your money here. Spent quite a chunk of change on a r/c helicopter, thing would not fly any higher than 6" off the ground, contacted Hobby Town, they could care less, no returns if opened. So if you feel comfortable spending a lot of money here and once you open it, its yours no matter if its broken or not then go right ahead. I will never shop at a Hobby Town USA ever again. Wasted 400 dollars....

Im trying to get my hands on VP powermaster fuels. Ive asked ,and called ,and tried to get this stuff ordered, but for some reason these guys refuse to order these fuels. I know for a fact that their AURORA, CENTENNIAL, FT. COLLINS, and LONGMONT locations carry VP brand fuels. The only offer Ive received to have it ordered is if I buy a case, I can order a case directly from VP. something has got to give.

Careful not to rely on any warranty on things they sell, policy on warranty is "unopened" and "unused", so if you use it, you void the warranty. Allows them to sell products basically with NO warranty, even if you have no fault, they can deny your ability to have a warranty repair. Buyer beware, there are a lot of companies that back products 100% no questions asked. Would not recommend Hobby Town.

Went to go buy a game theyre door said they closed at 6 it was 5 and the doors where locked, went to the door and knocked and they wouldnt open them even when I showed that it said they closed at 6. They were doin nothing in the store yet wouldnt let a customer do what they were supposed to do and support youre business. Needless to say I wont be shopping there anymore. Horrible way to do business.

Inventory is not well organized; youll find similar components in several locations. I heard one employee describing the memory effect of lithium ion batteries to a customer and then try to "sell" them on a larger sized battery package because it would get the job done better. The employees here didnt impress me with their knowledge and the store is difficult to navigate.

Ive been standing here for 25 minutes waiting for the only employee that can open the parts case. All while the cashier is just standing by the register awkwardly because apparently he isnt allowed to walk 15 ft away from it for 5 seconds. Unfortunately the crawl space is closed Mondays otherwise I wouldnt be wasting my time. I will absolutely never be back here.

Not bad if a hobby store, but they never seam to have high quality parts or electronics for the rigs they sell. For example, not a big selection of sensored motors or ESC at all and they sell a lot of different RCS but not a lot of parts for those at all besides Traxxas.

I go to this HobbyTown as often as I need to. The staff is very friendly. They placed me a special order on a M1159 Stryker and they called me just within a few days for me to pick up. This place shows that scale modeling is just not a business but also a community

The Hobbytown near me is great. The employees are friendly and knowledgable, and can almost always help (this is the one on East Woodmen Academy, Colorado Springs CO). I have bought 3 rc cars and a boat from there, and I am completely satisfied.

Staff is easy to talk to. Nice being able to order parts and have a place to come and hang out on the weekends. models can be a little pricey, but on par with most other companies selling the same models.
