Purchased a front load washer from Becker Appliance. Washer was delivered for an additional $50 fee. Washer was installed, delivery driver left, and within 20 minutes my laundry room was flooded with water, the back of the washer had a major leak! I called the company and they said my contract requires a 15% stocking fee to return the washer! After telling them thats ridiculous, I asked for a manager. The manager (Tom) waived the fee and said he had 3 more washers of the same model he could deliver on Saturday (4 days later). He said he would "personally" test all three, deliver the best one, and remove the faulty washer. Saturday rolled around and the delivery never arrived? I called Tom and asked why my washer wasnt delivered as promised, he said, "oh, sorry, it didnt get on the truck." I reminded him of our conversation and he replied, "oh yeah, none of the 3 washers were any good." He assured me some other washers were coming in and hed have a great one delivered on Tuesday. I told him I was leaving town on Tuesday and needed it delivered at 11:00 before I left town. Tom said he would have his guys there at 10:45. 11:05 Tuesday and no delivery? I called Tom again and asked what was going on? He forgot about our 10:45 agreement. He asked what he could do to correct the situation? He said the delivery would be there in an hour. I laughed and said get my washer to my house now, I reminded him of our agreement and I was leaving town! He said he would contact the delivery driver and I would be the next stop, he said about 20 minutes. 25 minutes later I received a call from the delivery driver saying they would arrive in 20 minutes! I asked him if Tom had communicated to him they were supposed to be to my house at 10:45 and he said no! The delivery driver removed the faulty washer, installed the new one, and said, given what happened to me last time, he wanted to test the washer...he turned the washer on and it immediately began dumping water into my laundry room! He pulled the hood and noticed two parts completely missing! One of the parts left an open hose in the washer, the result of water all over my floor. Becker Appliance says they "test" all their machines before delivery...it would appear to me they recycle machines without ever testing them? How can two washers arrive at my house and dump water into my laundry room if they were "tested" before delivery? Stay away from this company...far away!

I needed a new stove for my aging mother who had inadvertently burned the top severely, the oven wouldnt rise above 200 degrees, it was old and just needing replacing. I researched discount appliances after seeing new ranges were costing $800-$2000+! I came across several sites but Beckers pics and easy on-line interface caught my eye. After seeing a stove I liked (only $275?) I called them to see how this whole operation worked. I spoke with a very friendly, knowledgeable and completely forthcoming gentleman named Tom. He explained the whole acquisition process (Quite interesting. Ask about it), have several models, provide a 6-month warranty and do, indeed, have a delivery/removal/installation service (with verification that all funstions are working properly before leaving). I live in another city and this service was crucial. He suggested he send me some pics of a few stove options they have so I could make the best decision possible. They arrived in short fashion with good picture quality so I could make a decision I could feel good about without having to be in their showroom. Nice! I called him back and told him which one I wanted and he got the billing/payment information and we were done in a jiff. On top of the ease of this entire process he adjusted the delivery service charge to help offset the cost to my mother. That kind of personal concern and professionally astute customer treatment is what made it a no-brainer when he asked if I would be willing to write a little review of my experience with Becker. Our initial experience with them was great. However that is not the case when dealing with their service department. Of course this is what happens when you buy used products its a piece of junk that doesnt work and have to make multiple calls about it. Since I was given a 6 month warranty on it I figured that we wouldnt have that many issues. The guy that comes out says he needs to order a part for the washer. I dont hear back from over for two weeks so I call them and apparently he forgot about us. So I make an appointment to have them come out to repair and it happens to land on the day we got all that snow. Now I work at a dental office and we plan ahead we print out our appointments for the following day in case we cant make it to work and know who to call. So of course they dont show up and they dont call. I call the next day and leave a message and I get no call back. A week later I call again and oh she forgot to call me back. She schedules the guy to come out between 1-5 and at 4:50 I call to make sure hes still coming. She says hes running behind and itll be around 6. I tell her no well need to reschedule. How are you just going to show up an hour late and not call? I tell her that we need to make an appt that Im not going to waste my time again waiting for them. She said no that this is reason they have time slots in case their running late. Again that makes no sense. Yes time slots of 1-5 not 1-???? just show up. Im so upset its been two months now that I have not been able to use the laundry soap dispenser. I finally just tell her that Ill pick up the part and pay someone else fix it. Buyers beware!!! You get what you pay for! Crap products with crap service!! Should have known better.

Im currently very frustrated with this company. We made a large purchase from this place on nov. 28th. The LG range never has worked from day one. I called obviously for the repair man to come out to look at it..that took a week for someone to get to my home. He says the computer is out and will order the part. It should take about 2-3 days for it to come in. Ive gone through all the holidays with company and a small child without a working range. Well It is now late January, I have been calling several times a week..no one ever calls me back, and when I speak to someone they tell me the part was sent to the wrong place at the Denver wearhouse and no one will call them back. This is going on almost 2 months rougly without a working range. I ask to speak to the owner since this is obviously not being handled, all I get is the name, but no number. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere, because for one, the appliances may never work the second you get them home. 2nd, if they do work..I dont trust them to follow up on any warranty issues. The company is a fraud in my experience.
