For over 2 months, I had been planning my tattoo with the artist, Ryan, at Red Sky - I described exactly what I wanted and sent him photos at that time as well. I was coming from out of town and wanted to get my first tattoo with my birth mother. Simply, I wanted a colorful and symmetrical generic cat face the size of a baseball on my thigh - I again brought along the photo of what I wanted. However, the day of my appointment, he showed up late and hadnt even started drawing my tattoo. He insisted that my tattoo be the size of a softball instead and also mentioned that he booked me for 8 hours - outrageous for the size I wanted. I thought it was odd when he asked me to send him a photo of my cat, and so I sent him the first one I came across, not thinking anything about it. 45 minutes later, I go check on his drawing, and hes traced almost the entire body of MY cat for my tattoo - I wanted a generic face, not a portrait! I politely reminded him that I only wanted the face (not the whole body). He seemed irritated, but said he would start again and just do the face. I wait another 30 minutes, and go check again. This time hes just traced my cats face, but the face is looking off to the side (not symmetrical). I asked if he could tweak it so the face was symmetrical with no whiskers, but he insisted that it would mess it up and thus refused to do so. He obviously seemed aggravated with me, although I was trying to be understanding and polite while again communicating what I wanted. I dont feel I was making outrageous demands. So he starts over for the 3rd time, this time using the original photos of what I actually wanted from the beginning: a generic, symmetrical cat face. By that time, we had been there for 2 hours and my birth mother was done with her tattoo. The whole time the artist seemed intent on doing a huge portrait of my cat, which is not what I wanted at all. Overall, he was dismissive, unprofessional, and unwilling to take into account what I wanted to go on my body permanently. After politely thanking him for his time (and I offered to pay for the 2 hours, which he refused), I left and wondered if he was trying to take advantage of the fact that this was my first tattoo with everything that happened. Needless to say, Ive booked an appointment elsewhere that is completely understanding, friendly, and willing to work with me on what I want to go on my body.

DO NOT GET A PIERCING FROM SKYLER! I went in for a nose piercing and I was greeted by a guy wearing ripped up pajama pants and no shoes. Super professional. I was uncomfortable, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and went ahead with the piercing. Afterwards, he gave me no instruction on cleaning/after-care and when I asked he dismissively told me to get something to clean it from Walgreens. About 2 months later I had a bump near my piercing and cleaning was getting me nowhere so I returned to the shop to have someone take a look. I was greeted by a friendly and professional artist name Alx Trujillo. He took one look at my nose, told me that I had an allergic reaction because the jewelry was poor quality. Alx saved my opinion of Red Sky. Not only did he change my jewelry for free, but he actually took the time to thoroughly explain aftercare AND he gave me his personal number if I had questions or problems. This wouldve been a very different review if I had gotten my piercing from Alx instead of Skyler. I dont understand why Red Sky would let someone so unprofessional work in their shop. Thank goodness for Alx Trujillo though.

DO NOT ATTEND. Waste of time. I went in today for a belly button piercing. I walked in at 11:50 and was told that the piercer, Alex, was scheduled to be in at 12. I waited and waited, the other employees called him multiple times and he kept saying "Im on my way." I waited as long as I could and walked out at 2:00. Never got serviced. I saw employees taking cigarette breaks while tattooing customers. Not a fan at all!! While i was walking out happened to run into Alex (the piercer) on my way down from the shop. I was on the phone with White Lotus Tattoo in Highlands Ranch seeing their open times (WOULD RECOMMEND AMAZING PLACE) when Alex waved me down from above. I refused to go back in and pay for service. Overall, the place is in great condition and the employees were nice. But service sucked. Alex didnt show up for his time to work and when he did walk in he walked in very careless, knowing that he had a person waiting for him. Would recommend any place besides this one for piercings!!! NOT GOOD!!

I got a tattoo on my foot after I turned 18 from Red Sky about three years ago. Since then I have been having serious nerve problems in this foot ranging from sharp pains to twitching. I never had this issue before the tattoo, and while getting the tattoo done, the artist used a very heavy hand. The nerve issues come directly from the spot I got my tattoo done. While there the tattoo artist was dismissive and judgmental and gave me a very poor vibe. I tried my best to be friendly, but he continuously ignored me, hit on my friend and used excessive pressure on my foot (which now probably has resulted in nerve damage,a s I stated.) They over charged me and I ended up paying $100 for three words about three inches long in total, the entire thing took no more than twenty minutes. I would not recommend Red Sky tattoo. I rarely make reviews, but this is one I feel strongly about. Thanks for ruining my foot, at least it looks decorative.

This shop has AMAZING, friendly, talented, knowledgable, laid back, awesome artists you can find! It is clean, nice leather couches to sit on while you wait, just really chill environment to be in. Some shops Ive been in, Ive felt very uncomfortable or unwanted. Red Sky is totally different- you are always welcome, whether you are getting tattooed or not! The tattoos ive gotten there, i have never been more impressed with. Jim Karanik, the owner, does the most GORGEOUS artwork I think I ever have seen. Colin Kolker, also is really talented. I have a portrait tattooed by him and it is so incredible! OBviously, I love this shop. You should definitely check it out!

I love this place so much! I would have only given this two stars a few months ago but the newer staff is amazing! They do amazing work and they always look for a way to give you a good deal. The staff are amazing people and artists. When I walk in I feel like Im at a second home. Yabuco is a great artists and so nice, he covered up a piece that Alex had previously messed up for no charge! They will go out of their way to make sure youre helped as soon as possible. I recommend them to every one I talk to! Ben has some of the best art that Ive ever seen a tattoo artist create. I love them all so much! Its such a relaxed but professional environment.

Total disaster. Got my lip done here, told the guy that it felt like it was gonna come out, "oh no," he says, "its fine." Later that night I cant twist the piercing, call the guy back and he tells me again not to worry. Low and behold, the ring wasnt closed all the way, the piercer had twisted it back into my lip so I couldnt take it out or twist it further. Ended up going back a few days later and the guy took it out and pierced my nose because he wouldnt give me back my money and wouldnt let me put it towards a tat. Would never go back and would never recommend anyone to go there.
