This is our second year traveling to Denver, Colorado from Chicago. This year we wanted to do something different, so my boyfriend and I decide to get some tattoos. We needed to find the best place/Artist since this was my boyfriends first tattoo, we started to shop around. We Google the reviews of the tatto shops near our hotel. I will say that Havana street Tattoo was the best choice. We got greeted by German Hernandez. He dedicated his time to listen to our ideas and gave us his input. After meeting with German Fernandez we still went to 2 other places. Remember we wanted the best, at the end of the night we decided that German was our best choice. We liked his honesty and was very pleasant. When we arrived at our appointment the next day he was playing my favorite music so I knew it was meant to be. The enviroment was great, very welcoming. German never rushed he took his time on my boyfriends tattoo. very detailed, when he got done almost 3 hours later he still inspected it to make sure it was perfect.. he explained all home care instructions. We came back to chicago with a great piece of art.. my boyfriend was pleased with his first tattoo and so was I. If you want a great tattoo go to Havana street tattoo.. cant wait for my next vacation and visit German for out next tattoo. Thank you!!! German Fernandez... best tattoo place in Denver, Colorado.

Got my last two tattoos done by Maria (when she worked at inksylum) she now works here. I have 10 tats and have never had a single issue until she did them. My last two tats were in memory of my daughter. One was a ribbon and the other was a copy of one of her hello kitty drawings. I got them done a year apart. When I got the second one (hello kitty) she touched up the ribbon she did the previous year, without an additional charge. Its now been 7 months since she did the last one. I just reached out to her to set up an appointment and she tells me that "free touch ups are only good for 6m" well.... then why did she touch up the other one a year later without an issue? Now theres a "set up fee" which is the shop minimum. This is horrible customer service on top of bad service. Dont waste your time, money or skin!

horrible costumer service. i called to set up an appointment and talk about pricing for a full sleeve tattoo and the guy i talked with was super rude very short worded and payed little regard to what i was asking and saying. Then when i done setting up my appointment time and date i decide to cancel because of the level of rudeness and he said " yeah huh bye." and before i could get one more word in, he hung up, even though i had a couple more questions. RUDE. DO NOT GO HERE. who ever was answering the phones at 4pm on nov. 2, 2015 needs a review from other staff. never have i been treated so poorly for asking about tattoos and pricing from a TATTOO SHOP where its apart of their job to help answer my questions. thanks for giving me reason to not go here! you lost a high paying costumer today.

I got my first tattoo here by German. He is an incredible artist, the shop has a really nice laid back atmosphere, & also very clean & sterile.The the staff is extremely nice, knowledgeable & friendly.I had a design of a skull that I wanted that I had found online and German was able to take the design, and not only do an incredible job of duplicating it, but he was also able to make the tattoo better then the original image! Also, German gave me an extremely reasonable price for my tattoo, and he got me in very quickly too! German also gave me very detailed instructions on how to clean the tattoo and what products he recommended for the after care of it! I look forward to getting my next tattoo here and I highly recommend Havana Street Tattoo.

I am super happy, pleased and thrilled having Gil work on my sleeve. I simply love art on my body. I had a few bad experiences with other tattoo artists in the past, I even gave up for a long time until I met Gil. The shop is super clean! and that is SUPER important to me. The atmosphere is chill and everyone is very polite. I have been to other tattoo shops and it seems like there is a rule of being a jerk to their customers. Gil seems to know my style an that is really comforting! So far Ive had 5 tattoos by him and they look amazing. Thank you Gil for taking the time to do my lovely art work. My husband thanks you as well he loves his tat I found my tattoo shop, you guys are great! Thank You :)

I came into Havan St tattoo with an idea for a tribute/memorial for my dad who passed away and his bestfriend who is slowly fading away as well. I told German my idea and not only did he make my vision come tire he made it better than I could of imagined!!!! I have 5 (now 6) memorials for my dad and I can honestly say this is tied with the portrait of my dad!!! I absolutely love it!!! Weve spent 20hrs in 2 days and have another session tomorrow!!! Im so pleased with my experience this will be the ONLY tattoo shop I will go to!! If you or anyone you know wants good work and arent stingy about the cost this is by far the best place to go!!!! Thanks again German I cannot wait to see the final piece!

Gil has done two large tattoo for me - a large cover up piece on my hip/thigh and a half sleeve. I went to him based on a recommendation by a co-worker. He was very thorough in my consultation of the cover up and traced my existing tattoo. It took two 4 hour sessions to finish and it turned out great. His linework is awesome and shading is just as great. He knew what spots would be tender and took extra care in those areas. I knew I had to go back to him for my half sleeve. Again, great work. Ive had multiple people ask me where I had my work done. Ive recommended him to my husband and a few other friends.

Talented and experienced, these guys know what theyre doing. I have a tattoo by German and a nose piercing by Larry. Both experiences were great. I love the end results! The Havana Street team is really friendly, which is really nice especially when youre new to tattoo shops. And I want to mention that German sets the bar in being sanitary. I got there a little before my appointment and watched him prep. There are so many things that an artist may touch before tattooing you, and he always made sure that he got new gloves. Thats something you can really appreciate as a client. See you guys soon!

My husband and I were referred to Havana street by my sister in law. We walked in looking to get work done by owner Larry but learned about his unfortunate accident. But in learning about those events were we introduced to shop apprentice Warren. Warren is a very professional and very talented artist. He did both mine and my husbands first tattoos. These tattoos are both important and meaningful to us and he took that into consideration. Warren has a great personality and makes the process very easy and clear. We will always go to Havana street for our tattoo needs!
