Great central area for food, shopping, and entertainment. With easy access to a variety of parking all within less than a blocks distance of walking to the mall, from there its several blocks of a large variety of shops and places to eat. Another enjoyable feature at times is the local live music that is played by voluntary street performers. Normally they are annoying and unskilled just trying to get a buck, but the majority of the ones I have encountered on the mall are actually pretty good. The food selection literally covers every possible type of food you could want from simple quick bites from the various street vendors like hot docks, burgers, ice cream, nachos, pizza, etc., down to the high end sit down locations for Sushi, European Cuisine, and traditional business casual family restaurant with the higher quality food and price tag to boot. The shops are also very well placed and different in variety to where you will never not be able to find most things youre after. Books, clothing, gems, property, cultural, music, religion, nick-knacks and much more. All of them are pretty well maintained and the grounds they sit on are typically very clean and free of a lot of debris and random trash. The security level which is also a point of concern for an outside mall, is actually pretty heavy with the police department just a few hundred yards away and several patrols of police on bikes on the strip, and the standard circling of cars on the outside. If youre looking to spend several hours shopping and dining in Boulder, I would recommend this as one of the places to stop for lunch, shopping, then dinner and maybe catch a show after at the theater or one of the live band pubs.

pearl street mall will always have a place in my heart. i love strolling from one end to the other, just people-watching and doing window shopping at the most random stores. i miss the old hammock store, but love checking out the new shops and the unique toy stores like into the wind and the multi-story crocs store to see what absurd shoes theyve most recently come up with. the best part of pearl st is probably the street performers-- from the genius zip code guy to ibashi-i, the man who folds himself into a tiny plastic box. im always excited to bring out-of-town guests to pearl st in hopes of running into one of the awesome street performers. im also a huge sushi fan and pearl st definitely has some good digs, from all-you-can-eat tuesdays at japango to some very unique and interestingly-named rolls at hapa, to the more classy and authentic sushi tora. for casual eats, salvaggios and illegal petes are solid. and for dessert, check out smooch for froyo and mochi. there are also a ton of fun photo spots, like the rainbow wall behind what used to be the boulder cafe, the circle window at wells fargo, the boulder theater, perfect unobstructed view of the flatirons atop one of the parking garages, etc. got my engagement pictures done here and they turned out great!

They for some reason keep tearing down beautiful historical buildings and rebuilding generic, simple, basic looking structures that have no character. Boulder isnt nearly as quaint and cute as it was just 15 years ago. The high prices have driven out the original Boulder natives due to the sky rocketing prices. One of a kind, unique stores are few and far between due to excruciatingly high rent, notice everything is a chain stores and super commercialized. So many people have flocked to Boulder ruining its beauty. Also people are resorting to pissing all over buildings because the city closes restrooms at excruciatingly early hours. The putrid scent lingers. The people are not as chill here as they used to be. They were all driven out. Only pretentious yuppies can afford to live here. Thank you everyone for moving to colorado. I can no longer afford to live here.

The Pearl Street Mall which is a several block pedestrian mall is a fun place to visit whether youre a local or are visiting. During the warmer part of the year youll find all kinds of street musicians and performers. Theres so much to do and see and theres pretty much something for everyone! Youll find everything from sculptures, fountains, sitting areas with beautiful flowers and landscaping, a little splash park for the kids to restaurants, bars, candy and ice cream shops, shops and boutiques selling just about anything you can imagine from clothing to jewelry to art to housewares to handmade items. Its a fun way to spend the day whether you are in need of some serious retail therapy or just want to window shop and people watch. And the fun doesnt end when the sun goes down - theres a lot of nightlife to be had on the mall as well.

The four blocks of pedestrian only walking mall in the beautiful Boulder outdoor atmosphere is excellent! It is also nice that, for the most part, the stores are independent representing what the Boulder public loves; exercise, food, candy, art, and fun in general! The street performers can go from interesting to weird in a minute. I like that they have creative people on the street, but it can feel a bit creepy if the people havent applied with the city and gone through some sort of screening before hand. I do love all the activities they plan throughout the year, such as the music, fairy parade, and munchkin ball. These events help bring the community together and it feels great.

The red brick walking mall offers good shopping and a variety of restaurants to choose from, but the attitude and character of Pearl St. is what makes this area special. Weekends are busy and flooded with tourists who stop and watch the hilarious street performers. At night, the bars come alive and there are food vendors available. Be sure to visit Into the Wind when you come. Its a walking mall, but the experience is much more important than the deals you might find shopping. The flatiron mountains, architectural complexity of buildings and a nearby saxophone playing, might make you feel like you are walking in a painting! Must visit if you are in Boulder.

Pearl Street is very much a heart of the Boulder community. Lots of people come here, theres always lively foot traffic and shops to look it, and overall its always an enjoyable time. There are lots of talented street performers who do shows here. Along with the crowds though, come some people who are a bit odd, and potentially annoying. The restaurants are often packed full, especially on nights and weekends. But that shouldnt deter anyone from coming and seeing whats here, especially with everything in walking distance and plenty of opportunity for people of all ages.

A retail and foodies heaven all located conveniently in outside mall/street setting with plenty of people viewing opportunities. This is the most popular attraction/spot/venue in Boulder so it will be crowded with locals and tourists. Parking is at a premium off/on pearl street so plan on getting there early. There are a couple of parking garages which I would try first. Note: since there is plenty of foot traffic many of the stores will not allow public restroom use. There is a public restroom at the middle of Pearl st where their visitor center is located.

The Mall is one of the most festive parts of Boulder, an impressive feat in only four blocks. The Mall offers dozens of restaurants and more dozens of shops to keep everyone happy. Street performers abound in the summer months and many stay around all year, most are very entertaining. If four blocks isnt enough to keep your interest, fun little local shops and eateries stretch for several additional blocks both to the east and west. Downtown Boulder staff does a superb job with landscaping and keeping everything pretty and tidy.
