This was our first time shopping at this safeway, the cashier that was checking us out went on break and James took over. After everything was scanned and my husband was paying with a card I asked James "oh could I also please get a monepoly board too?" He turned around practically bitting my head off and said" I will get you one when I get your receipt!" I had a flyer in my hand and I was going to ask if he had a trash can afterwards but after he was so rude for me asking for something nicely it didnt seem worth it to be personally attacked again for NO REASON! So I left the flyer for him to dispose of he then yelled after us to get our trash. Im so appalled of his unacceptable, unprofessional, unnecessary actions I was going to stay and talk to a manager but it appeared he mightve t) been the only manager which I really unfortunate that safeway has such a rude person "leading" their other members. I will never be back and you can check this upset so much to even write my first review ever! Not worth the time go to king soopers across the street!

Unfortunately Safeway has recently closed lots of local stores and not staffed their stores properly for several months now. The influx of people in the store is noticable, not to imply its crowded. The worst part is the checkout. Since the change, I have not seen any lines (including the self checkouts) take less than 5 minutes of waiting in line, with most lines taking as long as 20 minutes. They have signs that claim they will open extra lines when theres more than 3 people waiting in line, but generally there are dozens of people waiting and they will have 2 self checkouts and 2 or 3 lines open with several extra places to be checking people out had they the correct number of employees. You will find this issue at nearly all nearby Safeway now. I have started going to a different store to get away from the hassle.

Dani from the floral department of this Safeway is AMAZING! We decided to save some money by buying flowers from here for our wedding (instead of dropping thousands on a florist), and we could not be more happy with the results. Dani worked with my mom throughout the entire process, and went above and beyond to make the flowers/greenery (my bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets + the boutonnieres) look incredible! This Safeway is located near our venue (Church Ranch Event Center), so the whole process went smoothly — and we saved a ton of money by going this route! Don’t hesitate to use their floral department for small purchases (a house plant or a bouquet of roses) to ordering flowers or greenery for an entire event! Thank you, Dani, for all of our hard work and for your positive and upbeat personality from beginning to end.

The prices are reasonable, but check your expiration dates. As far as the staff, i havent ran into a friendly cashier in such a long time there. The only wonderful person there is Phil. Hes cool. I wish i knew her name but there is an older lady that works there with grey hair, and she is so incredibly rude. She doesnt even try to talk to you like you matter or with any customer service skills. Its almost like she dislikes people in general. The few times ive had to ask her for help shes snapped at me and sighed loudly, barely talking at all the whole time, but when she does its with a grumpy demeanor. Kind of depressing. I avoid her checkout lines as much as possible.

I typically dont have to look at expiration dates when I go grocery shopping. But after having bought more than a dozen bottles of juice, kombucha and nut butter at this location, Ive learned to look at the expiration dates. They have expired products ALL OVER their store. Its July and Ive just realized that the Justins Hazelnut Butter I spent $12 on this past week and have already eaten more than half the container, expired in January. Warning - if you shop here, check the expiration on EVERYTHING. I, on the other hand, will no longer be doing any shopping here.

I always liked Safeway and I use to shop the location on 104th and Federal, which is a much nicer store. When moved to this neighborhood, i began to shop at this store and my experience has not been the best. The self service checkout lanes never work half the time and there are usually one or two full service checkouts and the lines are too long also, the employees are not as friendly as the 104th and Federal store. Not coming back

A calm, friendly and neighborly feeling grocery store. Ive always felt less harassed and "mostly" welcome. The only reason I say mostly is because, not usually, but on a quit a few occasions I was never greeted in any way by the staff and also not asked if I needed help finding anything. I would have given a 5 star rating if only a bit more attention was given to the, less then forth coming, customer.

They never have enough checkers, usually only 1 sometimes 2. Most people use self checkout. The prices are way higher than King Soopers. They do not have a large selection of products to choose from which is unusual for a grocery store. But they do have very nice employees who work there. They do go above and beyond to help.

Bakery is the best!!! The O Organic milk last longer than any other brand in any othér store. Stays fresh way longer. Use card and apps. Coupons you find to save money otherwise they can be expensive. I found the quality of the food to be high quality.

Expired products on shelves consistently, poor curating, poor variety, hit and miss service. Smaller crowds and more convenient access than elsewhere is what keeps it going I think. Never more than a line or two open and typically no box person.

Check your expiration dates if you shop here! I have brought home expired food accidentally several times. I just opened a container of yogurt I bought here yesterday, and its moldy-it expired 10 days ago.

Self check registers dont work well. Never employees around to help. Dont seem to care. Customer service is pretty much nonexistent. Just the only Safeway near me if I want something specific from Safeway.

All the chicken breast was expiring today or tomorrow. The lack of non Hispanic ethnic food is dissapointing. (Not even any fish sauce) and as other reviews have said, only two checkouts open at a time.

The bakery is the best part of this store. Their selection and quality along with their prices makes them my first stop for cakes, donuts and bread. Clean store,meat selection is fair.

Long lines cause they are under staffed and the staff they do have arent very helpful. Wasnt satisfied with my trip here and I try and avoid them all together if I can.
