If youre not a DIYer or a craft person you may not understand this but I am obsessed with Hobby Lobby. My older kids will attest to it and have recommended I give myself a Hobby Lobby budget because when I go there I find everything I need and lots of really cool stuff I think Ive got to have but really hadnt planned on. I always need a cart when I go to Hobby Lobby. If I only need one or two items I have to send someone else to get it or Im going to end up finding all kinds of cool stuff and new projects to start, not to mention spending over an hour in there. If there were a group to treat Hobby Lobby fanatics I should probably go but knowing me I would refuse to overcome my obsession because it makes me happy. This store is my haven when Im having a bad day. I go in and its just a happy atmosphere and place to be. Ive honestly encountered some of the friendliest and kind customers in Hobby Lobby that Ive ever met. Sure every once in a while you get a grumpy or thoughtless customer whos sure theyre more important than you but once you get past them theres almost always many more smiling Hobby Lobby employees helping out or customers who happily share your obsession. If you have kids in school youve got to shop here. I would never have gotten through many a Christmas with the budget for teachers gifts if it werent for this place and Ive got some of the best keepsakes of my kids growing up because of Hobby Lobby, too. Trust me, Ive been to Michaels and JoAnns and I generally end up back at Hobby Lobby. At HL I know if Im patient something I need or want for a project or for home decorating will eventually be 50% off. They rotate their sales on a pretty regular basis. And if I see something cool online that Im not capable of making myself, somewhere in HL theres either a person or a handout or a video online that will show me how. Additionally, the staff in the fabric department is tops. These people know how to sew anything. Just ask them and theyll help you. I highly recommend this place. If youre interested in the products and the expertise more than the age of the building there is definitely no better place to shop for crafts and decorating ideas.

I visited THIS particular Hobby Lobby yesterday and I was so mad when I left that I was determined to write a review...which I never do. I went into the store looking for a particular item. I went to every section I thought it would be and had no luck. As I made my way back to the front of the store, I was searching for an associate to ask where I could find this item. There were none. I got to the cashier, where there were two cashiers standing and no customers to wait on. I asked her if they carried this item and instead of saying "Let me check to see" or "Let me get an associate to help you find it" she pointed to where she thought the item MIGHT be and dismissed me. So, I went to that section and had no luck. I had already been in the store 20 minutes searching and I wasnt wasting anymore time looking for an item she didnt even know they had! As I was walking by the door, while her and a MANAGER were chit-chatting, she asked if I found it. I replied "Nope. Not wasting any more of my time." Instead of the manager or her trying to make it right, they let me walk out the door. So, I will NOT be back to this location. Their associates are absolutely no help at all and obviously dont push customer service.

Between the rudeness of customers cramming ahead of you in line or jumping at the next line opening despite you being there a while and they havent, the staffs sullen demeanor, and the never-ending issue of not enough registers being open, this is surely where your patience will go to die. Yesterday, I finally left my items on the shelf before the register and went home empty-handed. I really didnt have the heart to speak-up and fight old ladies who hadnt been waiting in line as long as I had (it happened several times) or wait while others counted out coins from a jar for their large purchases. Id give a them a better rating, but this is the same story nearly every time. OPEN MORE REGISTERS, OR ASK THE PERSON BEHIND THE PERSON CHECKING OUT TO THE NEWLY-OPENED REGISTER. Sometimes you need supplies and dont want to drive to a specialty store in Denver traffic, so you slip on your big girl panties, take a deep breath, and prepare to be irritated.

This is the most incompetent store Ive been to. None of the people are helpful at all, no one knows where any of their stock is, and when you ask for help they either say they dont work in that department, or grunt that they dont know and continue their conversation with their coworker. Ive been in several times, and every time its the same. This place is in need of some serious training. Good thing Joanns and michaels are close.

My wife and I walked in about 10 minutes to closing. We walked in, and I thought "wow these guys got alot of cool stuff." We got alot of scrap book stuff when all of a sudden I hear a page attention customers were closing in 5 minutes so grab your items and come up to the cashiers desk. This was a major turn off and makes me not want to shop here.

I lost my receipt Spoke with manger on the phone Stated i can bring in my purchased items and get store credit. Fine. Since they didnt sell some the items anymore, they had to mark 90% off of the price i bought it for. No, i purchased item at full price. I should get store credit for full price. Rude and lazy! Wont go back !! EVER

They only give half the value of an item if exchanging even though the item is still on the shelf at full price. If the item was now on sale, makes sense. But their policy is to rip off their customers instead. Wish I could take back all the money Ive spent with them to date but rather Ill just never return. So stingy!

Just about everything you need for that next Pinterest project youve been eyeing. You can count on decor for the next few holidays already being on display. Everything always seems to be on sale, making me question their *actual* prices, but they seem reasonable nonetheless.

Huge craft store with slightly religious tendencies (think Chick-fil-a or In-N-Out Burger) closed on Sundays, super friendly employees, prices are a bit high...but you can always pull up a 40% off coupon from your phone.
