Note: this review is only for their Mobile department Last week I saw an ad that Target would give minimum of $150 for iPad 2 with an uncracked screen and in working condition. Since I wanted to trade in the iPad 2 from 2011, I went to Target at 9.30 on Tuesday morning to get it over with. I headed down to the mobile department within electronics and was soon told that there is only 1 person that handles mobile who would be in at 12.30 and then can help me with it. I left and returned at 12.28 PM the same day. I was told to wait a couple of minutes since the person handling it was still wasnt in. 2 Minutes became 12 minutes which soon turned to 22 minutes and there was no sign of the person. The only guy who was in the electronics kept saying that the person should be in any minute. My patience ran out and so did for a couple other people which eventually forced the guy in electronics to call the person handling trade ins and Mobile and to our surprise we were told that the girl was still "stuck in traffic" and would take another 15 minutes or so. So much for Target Sunnyvale. I decided to leave and not return to this location. If being a big store you cant have staff to be on time or another replacement to help the customer, you are not getting my business. Period!

I have been going to this Target weekly for about a year. As Targets go, this is the worst store I have been in and rivals the experiences I had in San Bernardino, CA. Lines are regularly more than 5 minute wait (whether busy or empty) and more than 6 people long. There is no manager at the check out area managing the lines and staffing. The express lines are rarely open and if they are, the line is often 8-10 people deep. Today, when I arrived the womens restroom had no toilet paper in any of the 8 or so stalls. I told a staff member who said she would relay the message. I shopped in the store 30 minutes, and after checking out tried the restroom again and still no toilet paper. When paying in cash, check your change - I have gotten the incorrect change about half the times I have paid in cash. The store shelves are regularly completely out of stock on typical items and it takes months to replenish them. (Travel size Visine, Neutrogena face wash, vitamins, kleenex single boxes, white shower sponges for body wash, etc.) The management here needs better training on how to more effectively run this store. It has been like this for at least a year since I moved here in Feb. 2014.

Its a huge, beautiful Target with better selection than in Mountain View and good use of vertical space. But after shopping here for two months, I cant ignore the elephant in the room. This Target has a huge issue with smells. You walk in and the first thing you smell is peppers. Always. And its super strong. I cant tell if its from the Pizza Hut or if someone is running a covert surf-n-turf in the elevator, but its certainly strange to say the least. Not as strange, though, as the smell near the diary/frozen section. For the past few weeks, it literally smells like someone took a dump in the aisle and let it bake in the sun. Or maybe rotting flesh. Ive been trying to track it down for the past few weeks and I cant get to the bottom of it. The staff frequent the area, so its not like they arent aware of it, too. Its unpleasant but also really concerning about the health/safety of the store, given that it sells produce. This would easily be a 5-star Target if they hired a janitor or two, but multiple weeks of repeated foul smells is really getting concerning.

This Target branch has (nearly) everything you would need. Its become my familys go to place for shopping. The prices are quite reasonable, theres a lot of savings (also with the REDcard), and theres a lot of stuff. You can buy things like clothes, electronics, vegetables, bedding/bath supplies, etc. The variety of products they have also helps and youre sure to find the item you want at a good price. Theres also a convenient CVS inside for your pharmaceutical needs. The Starbucks and Pizza Hut inside will be a blessing when you want a quick bite/drink. Customer service is great - I was able to return an item and got in store credit even though I didnt have the receipt for it. There are a lot of people from Google Express as I noticed, so that could be an option for you if you want your groceries and other things picked and delivered. Parking is plentiful in the garage and its all very convenient, with escalators and elevators. Its located in a relatively quiet neighborhood so you probably wont be stuck in traffic. Shopping is easy here!

I went to the target in Sunnyvale, CA, to buy a bicycle, the manager name Chris was very nice and cordial showing the bikes. A work name Michael saddle force his way and walk thru us. I explained to Chris since I was going to expende over $300 dolar in the bike I need to ride the bike and Chris said ok, but I sit on the bike, Michael start to screen said I cant ride the bike, I explained the situation, but Mike was very rude and keep screened to me. Saddle another work name Robert beguine to call me names and on the radio, Robert call the another manager. Chris was completed in me side saying I need to tray the bike, at this point I was so desapointed I decideded to not buy the bike any more and Chris walked with me and my family. I was walking with Chris, another manager came to see what was happened, when I was approached to him, by surprising Stanley the manager name, was making funny the situation, that when I realized I couldnt trust Stanley as a serious person and I decide to walk way and problely never come to the store again.

I love this Target location! This is by far the one that is most stocked, nice staff, and well maintained/kept in terms of overall look and design of the store. I like how vibrant it is when you get inside even if it is already 11pm. I also like that they price match a decent number of competitor stores both online and nearby locations, I also use their cartwheel app for more deals and discounts. Everytime I come here, the checkout staff make it a point to open a register when there are more than 5 people in line which is such a convenience! Their produce/grocery area is also getting more varieties, so it is great for one stop shopping. They also have a curbside, in-store pickup and most of the time free online shipping.
