Tonight was the second time in two months our dinner plans were ruined. The last time we bought steak and prepared all the ingredients. We were just about to cook the steak and my gf flips it over to discover the steak has gone bad. I bring it close to my nose to smell it and it stunk...I then go back to the store and ask to speak to a manager and long story short, I had to call back the next day to speak to the GM, who assured me she would talk to the "meat manager". Just now (12/14/12) we got back from the same Safeway store and bought some beef to make burgers for the weekend. Same story, we had everything prepared and guess what?? we flip over the burger and notice its rotten...NOT AGAIN...I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS or any other Safeway again. The worst ever....

We are vacationing from the Midwest and needed to get groceries. We liked up a few items from a premium, organic store earlier in the day and I got heartburn looking at their prices. Foe example, 7th Generation Chlorine free diapers were $16.98! We decided to purchase other items elsewhere. I am glad we found Safeway. Their prices are pretty much comparable with the grocery stores back home! The store was clean and the employees were very friendly. By the way, I found the same 7th generation diapers at Safeway on sale for $9.99! We will be returning should we need anything else.

Ok.......since we lost our other safe way in so city this is the closest store around. They always have long lines because they only have the express and then regular. Its like they dont know what their doing especially stocking up on products that their out if. I dont understand why they cant see these and other problems with this store. A lot of times have to go over to lucky because their out of something such a hassle.

One of the older safeway. I expect them to close this one eventually so prepare to go to milbrae for your safeway needs. I disagree that selection is bad here but the store is out dated. Most of the time you see enough and service is incredibly friendly here. People are well trained and know what they are doing.

Long lines, empty shelves, most of the cashiers are decent but they have a couple that dont even greet you, and its a small store with a very limited selection. There really isnt much that can be done, other than closing it down. Id recommend shopping at another safeway. This is the worst one Ive ever seen.

On December 2 and I BV was the trying return a coffee.which is only 5.99.but mag garage profile the people on return.he did not want to do a store credit or return..very poor service part of the mag. Not to happy about I stop shop at any Safeway.i hope U all people out there should do the same.poor service.

Definitely an older supermarket, but youll find everything you need and youll save a lot of money with a Club card. If youre lucky enough to land on Dan at checkout, ask him about Scratchers Monopoly, or any other of the myriad of stories he has to tell. Be patient, and youll definitely be entertained!

Limited selection. Small store. Empty shelves. Worst part is there are never enough checkout lines open and the line is always backed up. Checkers never call for backup. This Safeway is garbage. I have never had worse experiences at Safeway then when Im at this one.

Its always understaffed and pretty small. About a mile away is a newly renovated safeway making this one a lazy option if needed. Selection is smaller than other safeways and there is a Pacific market across the street for cheaper produce. Workers are nice though.

Im pretty sure this Safeway has been the same since I left SSF in 1989. I hated going there then, and I avoid going there now. Id rather drive all the way to whole foods in San Mateo, a good half hour away, than go to this Safeway. Sorry, but its that bad.

Too crowded with displays of merchandise everywhere, even within already narrow aisles. Friendly crew, but lines are often crazy long with not enough cashiers. The Gellert location is much more comfortable to shop.

Terrible store. 20 people in line per register with 2 registers open. Bad produce selection. Understaffed, small store...skip the hassle and frustration and go to another location/grocery store.

Decent Safeway. Its a little on the small and mildly unkept end of the Safeway spectrum. However, you can get all your groceries for cheap and theres a deli if you need lunch/dinner.
