Im the office manager for a local construction company and part of my duties are from time to time bring our guys supplies or tools when they are right in the middle of something and need to the supply right away. Anyways we have a contractors account with Dixie Line and there for I went into the contractors desk to buy a new makita drill for my guys since his was not functioning. So when I arrived at the desk there was Carlos (sales men for contractors desk) anyways I walked in and as I walked in his office the phone rang and he answered as he should have and so since there were no other customers I walked up to the desk. In the entire time I stood there waiting for him He did not once look at me, tell me he would be right with me, or even acknowledge I was there. I waited for twelve minutes for him to even say anyting to me and he never even said one word. Even after I made some signals that I was in a hurry and getting inpacient and that didnt even seem to matter. After so long I started thinking that we spend thousands of dollars there every year and not to mention that I went to the contractors desk where it should be get in get out the guys who there are in a hurry,and with the market the way it is time is money. So I just decided that they really didnt care about me or my money so I left. I figures they really didnt care about the two hundread and something dollars I was going to spend on the combo kit. I ended up going to a different home inprovement store and got what I needed, at least I was able to get in and out quickly. I dont know what to say about the whole experience I was in a hurry but had he said I will right with you I wouldnt have cared and to be left standing in front of a desk with no help and your in a hurry it doesnt help. All I know is I really have no interest in ever coming back. In all this I dont expect them to remember my name or shake my hand or anything just to be helped and make it so that I can get what I need.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. We contacted them because we wanted them to come to our home, inspect 2 sliding glass doors that needed replacing, order replacement doors and install them. 1.5 months later Im still waiting...We had to call a dozen times (half of those calls were were told that the person we need to talk to wasnt there, or called in sick), just to make an appointment for them to come and look at the existing doors. My husband had to physically to into the store to get their attention. Once they actually ordered them we were told that we would hear back - which we never did and now Im in the process of hunting down someone to help me again. They ARE REALLY BAD AT CALLING BACK. poor follow through, poor customer service... if we continue to move forward with them I can only hope that they do a decent job.

Go for the high prices, stay for the horrible service. I dont know what it is with this place...I cant think of any other business that openly harbors such absolute contempt for their customers. Doesnt matter if Im asking for assistance from someone in the aisles, placing an order at the lumber counter, going through check out, or picking up from the lumber yard, across the board everyone is just...bitchy. Plus, the prices are high, it closes early, and the quality of most items from the lumber yard seem to be subpar. The only reason I keep going back is it saves me 45 minutes over going up to Home Depot or down to J&W.

Horrible: Went in three separate times to have the customer desk find payment info for my bill. It took 20-30 min each time & they found no record. Finally a long time employee, Arnold, quickly found the invoice and my problem was solved. Clearly store training is inadequate. The paint deptartment also has gone down hill since losing Jackie who was an expert. Ive been going there for 30+ years and will now go elsewhere. The paint dept personnel are uninformed. Close to useless.

Friendly staff, good quality products. A little more expensive than some other building material stores, but the quality is better. Lumber yard can get crowded and you could get caught in the circle. So I recommend, I you only have a few pieces, park outside and carry your materials to your vehicle.

Absolutely horrible customer service in Solana beach and Escondido. Both of these stores are undermanned and have staff who dont know the products they are selling. Not to mention other suppliers in the area have better prices and shorter wait times(they have more salesmen).

Terrible store for contractors. Customer service is bad. There yard is small. So they must stack a lot of their material. Creating long waits. Lumber yard service is awful. I had to track someone down to help me, after waiting forever.
