I had just moved to the area and have had very good experiences at the Arclight Hollywood theatres. Me and the wife went to see Inception. As soon as the movie starts a young couple brings in their baby.....Im like WTF. Baby doesnt maKe sounds till half way through the movie, but then starts making some GOO GOO GA GA noises (which goes on for about 25 minutes). I debated whether to get the usher or deal with it. Do I see the movie......or try to get the ignorant trash kicked out? I decided to deal with it. After the movie I asked the ushers why they let babies into their theatres. They say they charge more to discourage it. Anyway, that ruined my night, and Ill gladly go back to AMC and get discounted tickets there instead of paying $14 a ticket to hear a baby! COME ON ARCLIGHT YOU PRETEND THAT YOU HAVE A CLASSY ATMOSPHERE THEN YOU LET BABIES IN YOUR R-RATED MOVIES. FUNK THAT! P.S. Left a message about my disenchantment, and of course no one returned my call. P.S.S. See you at The Grove!!!

This is a fairly small location, with some good restaurants and offerings, but very scant offerings in terms of clothing, electronics, or toys. The location is very good, right at the intersection of the 405, Sepulveda Blvd, and Ventura Blvd, and the mall manages to make what is objectively a very small space felt bigger. Still, the lack of space means there are no department or big box stores whatsoever. Instead, I would recommend either the Westfield which is off of Riverside and Hazeltine or the Northridge Fashion Center which is farther at Tampa Ave and Nordhoff Street but has a great selection. Be sure to check if the stores you visit offer parking validation, as parking is not free at the Galleria.

Beautiful, four building office complex with a shopping center and lots of water features. The center includes a few uniquely stocked stores and several upscale chain restaurants, some with patio seating. There is a Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream Shop, offering vegan and conventional ice cream, and other counter restaurants. A multi-screen movie palace, on the third floor, is excellent and has a good sit-down restaurant. Popcorn, too. Attendant and validated self parking available. Restaurants and the movie house validate. Most places offer some vegan and gluten free foods. Elevators and escalators are available throughout including the multi-story garage. Everything is wheelchair accessible.

Went to meet friends at Cheesecake Factory for lunch. When I went to pay for my validated parking it was $14. I called the assistance button and Maria told me to cancel it and tell her what the validation code was. When I told her it was Cheesecake Factory she said ok put it back in. When I did it was $16 and she told me if I kept talking it would just go up. When I talked to her supervisor he said just to pay it and leave. Seriously? I dont even pay that for high interest parking. What in the world is the galleria doing charging those rates. They told me it was because they charge the corporate businesses that amount so they have to charge the shoppers that too.

At the hub of the valley, this giant mall is a great place to stop and shop eat, exercise or just kick back with a iced latte or energy drink at the open air food court. From the top of the parking lot off of Sepulveda Ave., you can see for miles and watch airliners land and launch from nearby Burbank Airport, and even attend collage at DeVry University just off the food court near Starbucks. Drive from here either direction on Ventura Ave or continue south on Sepulveda for a wide selection of restaurants, bars, and businesses along one of the longest city streets in Los Angeles.

I agree with the parking gripes and lack of "Mall" stores. There are a lot of high end, high priced shops here that carry things that you wouldnt buy to wear or use on a regular basis. Id only go there for the eateries, gym, and movie theater. Drivers beware!!! If you dont have a friend in the area who will let you park in their garage, be prepared for some steep parking prices. I went in and bought a sandwich, forgot to get the ticket validated, and ended up having to pay $15 for what turned out to be a 10 minute food run.

Sherman Oaks Galleria was the mall that made "Valley Girls" famous back in the 80s. Since then it has been redesigned as an outdoor mall that features ArcLight theatres, The Cheesecake Factory, and 24-Hour Fitness. The parking is a little challenging here but they do offer valet parking as an alternative. If you are willing to pay more for parking, you can avoid the hassle of parking your car. Most of the restaurants and ArcLight theatres validate for regular parking for the first 2 hours.

I was given a faulty pair of 3D glasses at Toy Story 3. Ten minutes into the movie I got up to exchange them but couldnt find anyone to help me. Our cheerful ArcLight host had all but disappeared. Finally found someone, but missed some of the movie, of course. The 3D experience at this theater doesnt even come close to watching a film at an IMAX 3D theater and its the same price. But, by the way, 3D adds absolutely nothing to Toy Story 3. See the movie - its great - but skip the 3D.

Parking is always pretty easy and available, except during busy shopping holidays. I go there for the Arclight Cinema and Happy Hours in the restaurants downstairs if theres time before the movie, plus theres 4 hour parking validation. As long as you avoid traffic hour its pretty easy to get there, but since it sits at the intersections of Ventura Blvd & Sepulvida Blvd and Ventura and San Diego freeways, you never know so check traffic or Google Maps before you go.

Sure this place is fancy, but all I do here is work out at 24. Unfortunately they only validate parking for 2 lousy hours. After sprinting to my car Im literaly a minute early and the parking attendant lady of course had a language barrier problem... and takes her sweet time walking out of her booth and taking my ticket. SOMEHOW Im a minute late and decides to charge me. This crap happens all the time. All those dollars add up to precious yogurtland trips.

I always tell my wife that this is a sad excuse for a mall. The only places that make this worth going to are Cheesecake Factory and Arclight Theaters. And while waiting for a table at Cheesecake, we wander to DSW. When we have the $$$, we also go to Burke Williams, but that is special occasion only. Theres a gym there, so that always makes parking "interesting" too. All in all, its ok. I go there, but for only for specific reason.

Every time I come to this mall I have a horrible experience. The mall sucks. Its gray and depressing. Bad energy all around. The stores suck. the shopping sucks. The Arclight sucks. The kiosks never work and then you have to wait forever in line for stupid people to pick out their seats. The parking sucks. Why dont they have pay machines on all floors????? That would be logical....like at the Grove. Duh.
