I was returning some items with my Father-In-Law and was given just about the worst customer service I have ever received. The lady who was returning the items (Well call her Monica - because thats her name) asked my Father-In-Law a question. Hes a bit hard of hearing, so he asked her to repeat the question. She then proceeded to scream (no exaggeration here at all- at the top of her lungs) the question at him. I dont think Ive ever seen anything like that before or since. What a completely rude and miserable person. I see here in these reviews that I am not the only person whom has had a terrible experience with her. Support local businesses like Hayward Lumber, M&S Building Supply, the privately owned Ace Hardware stores in the area, etc. Home Depot is the fast food of hardware stores.

This is a place better for you to buy and go. Good luck if you hire them/their contractors for project. You might meet some friendly salesmen in store and they did tried their best to help you. However, when your project start, you will see them getting frustrated and confused either by their computer system or administrative system. Based on my previous three experience (flooring project, gas range, fridge), I had WORST customer service such as directly telling you "computer system somehow is messed up, so I dont know" then silence, "Ill call them and give you an answer" then never called back, "they are like 5 mins away" then showed up 3 hours later. Homedepot does not team work with their contractors. Their contractors do not teamwork with drivers.

I have tried 3 different time slots, early morning, my lunch break, and evening to sit down with someone and get a flooring and window treatment quote. Each attempt has not produced a quote. One time I stood at the help desk in that department for a half an hour. The associates could not find the one person who trained to help me and told me that there was nothing they could do and I would have to come back another time. The other two times I tried I waited around for over 25 minutes because the one person in that department was busy. I had to leave because of needing to get to work. I even tried calling one time to see if I could get a quote but the only result was a hold time of 40 minutes before abandoning the call. I wish we had a Lowes

They consistently were making errors on my flooring project that I paid for them to do. Their estimator couldnt read Measure and perform math. spent a few hours trying to fix their mistake. The first delivery was 5 hours late and the driver wouldnt help bring the delivery into the home. Learned the second day of the install of the wrong measurements. HD said they would delivery the right materials before noon to fix the mistake, they never showed and I learned never even attempted to deliver. I do give credit to JW flooring who was contracted by HD. They had great customer service and made numerous attempts to work with HD to fix the problem to complete the job. Unfortunately HD doesnt even respect the people they are contracted with.

Employees seem to avoid you. When you finally get an employee to help you out they seem very lazy. One time I asked for something and without even checking the employee said "I dont know If we have that, you might want to check out Orchard". Well you didnt even check, turns out they Home Depot did have what I was looking for. Had I followed the employees advice they would have lost a high paying customer. That being said I have encountered some very nice helpful employees there. Unfortunately they are not always working when I go there. I shop here quite often but thinking of just shopping online for my needs. I will give it a few more goes and update my review with any good/bad experiences.

This is without doubt the worst Home Depot location I have ever been to. They are always short staffed and it is almost impossible to find someone to talk to. No one is knowledgeable about anything. I have seen lines of customers waiting to talk to an associate while he/she tries to find a product on their PDA device because they dont know what the customer is talking about. Also, they are willing to give an answer about something they dont even know just to end the conversation. Additionally, their selection is poor and inventory goes weeks without being stocked. This location needs to get their act together because it is a disgrace to the Home Depot family.

Monica was working in the nursery on Monday morning around 10 am. The service that was given was horrible. I was not treated with respect and this isnt the first time this has happened in the nursery (last time with Cheryl). They were both extremely rude and didnt fulfill her job duties. In addition, Glen who also worked in the nursery today was disinterested and didnt want to help, although it was his job to do so. I am contemplating NEVER returning. Billy and Sean are hard workers and more employees should be like them. I hope you take this with the utmost concern and really look into assuaging the situation. Thanks, Your Customer

I enjoy going in to the store and receive good service....sometimes have to walk around looking for people..but that is what Home Depot is all about ..trying to find someone to help you. I ordered a carpet - special order and was told it would be in by 4/15--a courtesy call would be made to me. I phoned on 4/17 and was told it was not there yet...i was assured someone would call me back later that day....NO CALL. The phone system is the WORST---the automated system is crazy...no one answers, you get cut off. I am actually going through the merry go round of the system now, on hold! Lets hope my rug is in.

I tracked down someone to ask for help retrieving some plumbing. They call over the radio and nothing. I am here with my 14 month old he needs to be changed and is getting fussy. I find another employee to and they call for help. Another 10 minutes and nothing. I go to customer service. They say oh, hes on break. Ill call a manager.I tell them if he gets there before I finish an online review Ill get what I need. Dont go while someone is on break. No one is there to cover. Robert the manager has not showed so I am leaving as grumpy as my son. I hate this place right now.

I have never liked Home Depot and now that I live in Monterey I am stuck having to deal with these crappy stores. The one in Seaside sucks more than most due to its tiny size. Their organization of goods is nearly impossible to figure out. If one of the fat girls or thug guys ever finally ask to help you just ask them if them where the nearest Lowes is located. Unless it is absolutely necessary, I will never go to a Home Depot again. Thankfully there is a Orchard Supply store nearby!!! Never even been there before but it is better than Home Depot for sure.

I was working in town a while back, and needed some tools and hardware to finish a job, and as I often do, I found the nearest Home Depot to get it. This store was well-stocked and organized, and when I needed an oddball part, and employee was able to point me to the right place quickly. Like all Home Depots, this one offered Self Checkout, which I prefer, so I was able to get in and out in just a few minutes. That may not sound like much, but when Im working, time is money, so I appreciate being able to handle it myself.
