I am an electrician by profession and it is very usual to meet clients/customers that have very little knowledge of rewiring a house, for example. It is my job to educate, answer and explain things/process/ even options as simple as possible. And as a customer who went to Home Depot today, 10/15/16 at 1pm in their lumber department, I expect the same courtesy. I have a deck project at home and I went to this store to ask questions and seek assistance to get my deck project started. First, I have to find an associate which was very difficult to do. I met the associate after 5 minutes and When I asked the questions, I got this vague answers from him as if I am wasting his time by asking these stupid questions. I felt my questionsg were unanswered and very dissatisfied so I looked for another associate. And while I was talking to this new associate, I overheard the first associate telling another associate that he already told me the answers. He even said that my questions didnt make sense and started laughing. We were in the same aisle and I can hear him! Horrible, horrible customer service and experience.

We were looking to purchase a shed; however, when entering the sheds they smelled severely of pee and even had sleeping bags inside!!!!! WE WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM THE HOME DEPOT IN HAYWARD ON HESPERIAN!!!! THEY REALLY NEED TO GET RID OF THOSE PEOPLE HANGING OUT AROUND THE STORE!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTING!!!!!!!! TAKE THOSE SHEDS DOWN!!!! IT IS A HEALTH HAZARD!!!!!!!!

Hardware stores are always a mystery for most people and these box stores tend to be overwhelming for novices. Help is often hard to find simply because of the customer to staff ratio and the shear size of the store. But when help can be found they are helpful and friendly and thorough when possible. Selection is pretty good (cant carry everything) and prices are reasonable.

A great place to find all your "home project" needs and pretty much any tool you could ever want. The employees are knowledgeable, polite and willing to go out of their way to help you find what you need. Dont forget to check out the "Clearance" shelves in the back, as well, as there are often some good deals to be found on a large assortment of items.

I tried to find a little item for a small project and they had nothing for me, but I could get it online from Lowes at their uc store. I wasnt going to drive to pick up something so little. They are like Costco who cares very little about people who do not need a lot of stuff.

I know this place now and can avoid the home Depot vortex here. This is where you walk into a home depot and cant find anything and come out 1 hr later with nothing. Pleasenton in a easy in and out with fast check out stands.weekends are the worse, but nothing like the others.

Do not go here. One of their employees stole my credit card details and used it to buy things all over Hayward. I tried contacting the store to tell them they had a shady person on their hands and I kept getting passed around and put on hold... apparently they dont care.

This is a great Home Depot that offers free WiFi while shopping for all your home improvement needs. The only down side about this store are the day laborers outside, but its understandable.
