I sadly misjudged Coffee Cat for many months and titled my nose as I drove past to visit Starbucks and Peets for my regular coffee & work sessions. But thankfully the coffee gods did not give up on me and recently guided my vehicle to Coffee Cat. Boy have I been missing out! Upon walking in I was excited to see a very spacious seating area with nice wood tables and way less people than the other big-name coffee shops. They even have power outlets along the entire wall for all those seated along it - amazing! The wifi is also very good and the bathrooms are decently clean. And to my even greater surprise, they have a Clover!! I love coffee pulled from a Clover, always my first choice if available which is rare. Their other coffee selections are also very good and the ladies really know what they are doing behind the counter. They also have a great food selection with healthy, authentic ingredients. And if that isnt enough, Safeway is right next door - very convenient. Overall, I am very impressed with Coffee Cat and have directed all of my coffee funds and work sessions here. Thank you CC!

Fast and friendly service. Clean interior. Tasty food and most importantly well made espresso and espresso drinks. Coffee Cat is part of Lulu Carpenters, a long-standing local company which has several cafes in Santa Cruz. In my experience they have been making excellent coffee for decades. Their shops may not be as big or modern as some third-wave cafes but the coffee is just as good...and perhaps a bit less expensive as well. If youre headed in or out of Santa Cruz and want good coffee off of Highway 17 check out Coffee Cat.

Make the best soy lattes EVER & the staff is ALWAYS friendly. Contemporary interior; always clean. Free latte w purchase of reasonably priced quality 1lb club-roasted coffee beans: great man-gift. Upgraded food choices last year: awesome bacon-wrapped egg with goat cheese! I always leave with 2x peanut butter/ choc swirl cookies; never a problem (note: we stop here 1-2x/mo).

They had lavender!!! Yes! Frothed to perfection, beautiful pour and great color on the espresso! Very nice place! My only concern was that the steaming wand had burnt milk on it and the steaming pitcher had dried up milk stuck to the side. But hey the flavor was good! And theyre better than Starbucks!

This is my go to coffee shop. I love the staff, the atmosphere, and the coffee. They can make coffee practically any way you like it, and their food is fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that some of the seating is not very comfortable, but that is just how goes sometimes.

To all my friends who serve me not only the best coffee, but the best smiles and greetings when I need to get up out of my seat, go for a walk and take in life. A great place with free wireless - quiet and where one could work all day and get a lot done.

I love Coffee Cat, but after they switched their chocolate about 2 years ago, their hot mochas werent as good for a long time. The cold ones are still great. No longer my first choice but solid. Great free wifi, yummy quiche and rugalach.

Every place should be lucky enough to have a Coffee Cat, no joke. Baristas that actually know something about espresso and make proper drinks. Clean, friendly, delectable pastry case, great panini sandwiches. 5 thumbs up!

We stop here every time we drive to Big Basin Redwoods State Park to camp. We always get the Honey Hazelnut Latte. The coffee is fabulous and they have amazing pastries. Its definitely worth the detour!
