Pharmacy- When calling in to get some information about my prescriptions, the pharmacist continually interrupted me and spoke over me. I actually had to tell her to stop talking so she could hear my question, as she kept talking about a completely irrelevant topic. STRIKE 1 After she finally understood my question, she did explain. I asked if there were any problems transferring my prescription from out of state, to please call me immediately so I could handle it with my provider. Well, there were problems and not one person at the pharmacy called me as they said they would. I had to call my provider to deal with the issue, which turned out to be a mistake on the pharmacys end. It should have been filled without any issue. Finally my prescription was refilled a week and a half late! STRIKE 2 No one lets you know if this is your last refill. I attempted to refill my prescription and was told that there were 0 refills left. They said that they would fax the doctor right away for refill request and they would call me to let me know when to pick it up. A week later still no call. So I called. I was told that the pharmacy did not receive authorization, so they could not refill. So I made an appointment with my provider who told me that she never received a request to refill. And that if it was requested, she would have gladly refilled it for me because it was unnecessary to come in for an office visit. So I drove all the way out there, wasted time I could have been at work, payed a copayment for an office visit then had to go BACK up to the pharmacy. All unnecessary. STRIKE 3 I should have switched pharmacies after this but I gave them one more chance. Bad decision. They did the same exact thing with another prescription a month later. THE SAME EXACT ERROR! 0 refills left, they said they would fax a request but never did. Never faxed. Never called. Never cared. When I expressed my disappointment, the lady behind the counter gave me some lame sob story about her personal life. I dont care even a little bit. Im not your friend, I pay for a service and your service sucks so horribly. How incompetent can a team be? I will not waste one more second of time or patience on this place after I submit this review. Trust me, just go somewhere else. These people have no clue.

I must admit, maybe compared to the speediness of other Safeways, this one may not have the staff to support a constant flow of people, but considering where they are located and the sporatic inflow of people, this Safeway is dreamy!! How many Safeways are opened 24 hours? How many grocery stores are in the area? How many Safeways can you go to that has a great selection of food, most everything at one store?? Most Safeways arent stocked or make me end up going to another store to find another ingredient. How many Safeways have instant ready food to grab and go? OK, and its clean, the staff is friendly, its even got a Starbucks (yes, long line, but what Starbucks isnt?), a little area to sit in. It has a nut bar and organic food. I can even get last minute gifts that are NICE and UNIQUE and FRESH! Its located in a very nice neighborhood right next to a park. Parking is bad, but if you dont keep circling like a mad man, youll find parking within 10 minutes. I usually find it within 1 minute, and maybe 3% of the time it takes me longer. I go at ALL hours... every single hour... morning, during work, lunch, dinner, rush hour, evening, midnight, after midnight.

Dont work here they have 60 day probation no 1 passes because they have union as soon as union mails u an application 1 week before 60days is up they will fire you and say you can come back in 6 months the reason is union will make them pay you more give you 40hrs week benefits also union cost 600 year i got a bill from them even though i didnt turn in application for union i got it 2 days before 60days is up i called union rep he stated safeway just wants a body inside to work they dont care who or if you work hard beware this is why you see high turn over u see the customer service older ladies because they used to have u sign up for union on day of hire so u r safe... They also fired my daughter after 4 days of work she busted her knee had doctors note still fired warning they dont train u and do not give u any information on how to call in or request days off the less info they give you they can blame you dont work here

The service needs to be better. When you go, its impossible to find someone to help you. Their website does not give the list of items available and so I called them to check the price and if they had that specific item I wanted. The lady who received the call refused to give the price, citing that shes in another department! The least the customer service department should have is the same list of items and prices as a checkout counter or offer to transfer the phone! This to me, spoke of an unhelpful attitude of the staff. They have a brand to live off of and dont see the need for service perhaps.

This store was remodelled within the past five years and is quite nice. The selection of merchandise is good and the prices are quite competitive also. I especially like their large selection of cheeses, which makes it easy to find exactly the right cheese for what youre wanting to do. Only downside: At certain times of the day they seem to have trouble getting enough clerks to handle checking out all the customers. Most of the time, however, it is only a short wait to check out, especially if you have only a few items and can use the self-checkout kiosks.

I am being very honest telling my experience with pharmacy’s manager, she is being arrogant disrespectful, rude, not listing to patients. I have been long time costumer at this pharmacy, I have tolerated long wait time just because I like the folks there, since she has taken over the pharmacy it’s been downhill since. I have changed my pharmacy since, it’s Safeway’s lost, because there are other good pharmacy’s are around the corner. Safeway should investigate and discipline her; otherwise one by one they will lose customers.

Our go to grocery store when we lived closeby. Has a starbucks and a deli inside. The complex has a cold stone, premier pizza, chipotle, jamba juice ,etc. Located centrally for a lot of people and open late. My only terrible experience here has been, when we went there late one night. A staff threw a box at my wife without looking and didnt apologize. When my wife accidentally hit her hand on a rack, she started laughing at her. THere was no supervisor to take our complaint and whoever took ours didnt do much.

Updating my original review: I have lived next to this Safeway for several years, which is the only reason I continue to so here. To the casual shopper, it will look like any other Safeway youre familiar with. Same products and layout. But unlike most Safeways Ive been to, this one is chronically understaffed. Both the checkout lanes and deli counters take far longer than they should. Unless you live in the neighborhood, try another Safeway, Trader Joes, or the new Whole Foods.
