Mgr was on the floor today.... Very helpful and personable.... Great customer service.... But.. The butcher not so nice..... He was still setting up his display case and I asked for some diver scallops because they looked great...his response as he rolled his eyes was..."what do you want" I said "can i get 6 of your scallops...nice fat ones and pointed a few out.. After a loud sigh while he was shaking his head he reluctantly began to fill my order... Only grabbing a couple of the ones I had selected and quickly grabbed the ones he thought I should have - which were pretty small compared to the others Cashier was great... Hes been there for years... I think his name might be Steve..around 10 am checkstand next to self check... Always smiling

This is probably the rudest and most unhelpful grocery store in the area. If you go at night, the store is not well-lit, one of the doors is locked, and you have to use the other one, Restrooms are locked, and you have to beg fr the key like some old gas station on route 66. Staff are unhelpful at night, shelves are not stocked on weeknights, if you dont find something, all the cashier can say is, sorry there isnt anyone to help right now. Customers are rude too, with people loading the belt before you are done loading your stuff onto the belt, and a lot of staring, and in general, aggressive attitudes. I live close to this one, but I am contemplating driving farther to Safeway when I need to hit a grocery store.

This supermarket is open on weekdays late until 1am, which is such a big convenience. They also have added an orange juice squeeze machine next to the self check-out area but they do remove it everyday after 7pm. They have great selection of goods, I always find myself coming here for last minute items (from gift items to that one ingredient I am missing to complete what Im cooking). Their self checkouts machines have also been upgraded this month. The only annoying side of visiting this location is during late evenings (after 10pm) because they close the self checkout area but only has one register open so there is often a long line and most of the time it is when you only have 1-3 items.

If I could give negative stars, I would do so! This used to be a great grocery store. You used to be able to get things fresh, even jackfruit. It was organized, clean, and better than Safeway and Sprouts. Now, after the obvious change in management, this Ave is terrible. Its a challenge to find vegetables that arent almost rotten. The store is filthy, most of the employees are clear unhappy with the store as well, and nothing is fresh. Vegetables rot within a day, in the fridge!! The employees try to be helpful, and are usually polite, but at night, its pretty much a free for all. My family will be going to another store, any other store from now on .

Really, I flew in from out of state went to mkt to pick up a few things, find out self check out has no knowledge or power to decied if you are eligible to buy alcohol, so put everything back in cart and walk a few feet and this cashier has the insight. Ok so I dont travel with a tote bag, so my basket of grocerys, as a paying customer, does not get me anything to carry back to hotel, plastic is recyclable and saves trees, but you get nothing to put your overpriced items in. Retailers love you to pay to cut trees for a paper bag and they make alot of money charging you, what happened to customer service. So glad I dont live in california.

Stopped by for french bread and met Derick in the parking lot Queing Tri-Tip...I know Derick from the SaveMart that just closed on El Camino and Kiely Blvd in Santa Clara, Ca. I said "that Tri-Tip smells good but Im particular to the proper method in Queing Tri-Tip....I prefer mine cooked perfectly medium rare and charred on the outside. He showed me a piece and said its just as perfect as you want it. I was skeptical at first but when I got home and sliced it .....PERFECTION!!!! Thank you DERICK!!! YOU ARE THE MASTER!!!! You deserve a raise!

A much better market than I expected, certainly better than Safeway. Well stocked with stuff I expected to have to go to a more upscale market for. Good produce. I dont get Meat here, the pork tastes gamey. Great for groceries, to, and very helpful people. They helped me shop when I was recovering from surgery and having a hard time.

Well stocked, fresh produce, good beer selection. Great ethnic section (including Indian foods). Just wish there werent so many sketchy transient (aka homeless) people loitering in the front. My wife sends me to do all the groceries now :(

This store is almost too large. The closer to closing each night, the harder it is to find anyone to assist you. 11:50 pm and its a ghost town. No cashier or anyone in sight. Has happened more than once to myself alone.
