I came to the Safeway store to shop for flowers for special occasion. Safeway store has big street banner stated: Friendlier". I went to the floral department and selected 4 flower bouquets. Wanted to arrange them in 1 large bouquet. There was women, whos name is Regina. She stated write away that she cant help me, because she doesnt have a skills. So, I has no other choice to arrange the bouquet my self. Regina wasnt friendly person, as big Safeway street banner stated: Friendlier" I spread flowers and start arranging it. During my work, I find out that 4 or 5 rouses was already broken slip under and packed tight, so customers wont notice it, until they will unwrap the bouquet at home. Do you like to buy broken flowers? Im not. But Im sure that most of the people got broken flowers intentionally planted in a bouquet. So I asked Regina to replace broken, slip under flowers. Regina refuses to replace it. She stated that customers buying product "as is". But after several minutes of my convictions, she did it. I arrange 1 large bouquet out of 4 regular bouquets and asked Regina to wrap it up. Regina showed by all her look that shes very unhappy with my request. And oh my... Regina wrap it up the ugliest way possible, maybe out of her spite. Figuratively speaking, fife year old child could wrap it better. It was frankly ugly... I came home and re-wrap the bouquet myself. Conclusion. Safeway store has big street banner stated: Friendlier". But when you come into the store, you dont feel welcome, but opposite. So maybe Safeway store should start getting friendlier not from putting big street banner stated: Friendlier", but from the customer service being friendly?

I went to the Sammamish Safeway today. In short: Deina (Daina), customer service manager of the Sammamish Safeway behaved offensive toward me today, because I bought milk, that will be expired tomorrow... Story: I took milk that will expired tomorrow and no 50% off label was present. Milk department explained me that its hard to cope with the volume of work, so sometimes its hard to catch with everything. They advised to go to the cashiers to apply the discount based on the exp. date. Cashier was new, so he wasnt sure. Called for Deina. She wasnt in the good mood for some reason and presented me with pile of offensive accusation... I guess you should check expiration date before you buy, otherwise you are risking to induce the fury of the Daina. P.S. Keep it this way, Daina/Deina - you are helping to maintain 2,5 stars rating to this Safeway store!

The store is decent and the people there are great. The general problem with Safeway is that they overcharge for items all the time, and I am beginning to believe it may be an intentional practice. I carefully check my receipt and I recommend you do the same. Virtually every other trip into the store I find one item or another that checks out at a significantly higher price than as marked on the shelf. Sale and "Just4U" items are particularly prone to this behavior. And each time it happens, I spend extra time at the customer service counter obtaining a refund and an apology. I recognize its not the fault of the store personnel, so I am cordial to them. Were moving soon, and I will frankly be glad to no longer be stuck with a Safeway as the most proximate full-service grocery; if Trader Joes in Sammamish had a superior meat and bakery, Id never set foot in Safeway again.

Place has made improvements over last 6-12 months. Pretty good selection of produce, dairy, wine/beer/spirits, meats, fish, canned goods & bakery! I was particularly impressed with their ice cream selection which has several local/regional options in addition to the usual national brands. Checkout lines move so-so, even the express lines. For some reason, the self-checkout lines were removed with most recent renovations, probably after some arm-twisting by the UFCW to keep more humans employed (and paying union dues) & the people running express lanes do not seem particularly fast. Lighting in store seems sub-standard & it always seems somewhat dark inside even on the brightest days. Pretty good but has room for improvement!

This store is by far the worst store I have been in. They are out of produce and spices all the time. There is never anyone in the customer service department, you have to wait while they page someone to come in. They think they have dont have to provide great service as they are the only store in Sammamish. Wish another store would move in. I shop some where else most of the time unless I need some product in a jam.

Love the selection, But I could do a better job bagging with my feet. Unexceptable! I spent a lot of money on my groceries. And you Thru it in bags. Canned food on top of bread and my desserts. And that was the small issue! Im pissed, that is my hard earned money. And you threw it in bags like garbage. Its not that hard. If you dont like your job get another. Please

This Safeway is old and dirty. I only go here if I need something that I can get in a hurry. The check out counters can be long and I end up being frustrated. I go to Whole foods rather then spend money here.

A pretty nice Safeway all in all. Their remodel several years ago brought it back from the 80s so its a lot nicer. Its pretty close to Redmond as well which is nice. Its not too out of the way.

They have some interesting events at this location. One time I went and there was a glee club singing in the middle of it. This was ok, but made a little of an annoying experience overall.

The aisles are too long; need more selection in their deli and the creams in the dairy dont roll forward. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Stopped for a cough suppressant, asked Pharmacist for recommendations, quick to respond with his suggestion. Cough is significantly reduced.

Lots of selection, but marginal store. Only a few employees were actually nice... most there, just for a paycheck.

It feels expensive, and the items on the shelf are never where youd expect them, and selection is horrible.
