I wish I had checked the reviews before I gave them $4200+ installation orders. The service of this Home Depot is the worst of all. Definitely stay away from it on installation service! My bad experience has been more than 10 weeks and it is still ongoing with my zombie orders with them. - The installation order promises to schedule pre-site check within TWO days. After they took all my money upfront, no one has contacted me for FOUR weeks. - The installation order estimates to complete the installation within FOUR weeks after placing the order. Now its TEN weeks later, I am still waiting for their schedule. - After such long wait and still uncertain future wait, I wanted to cancel my order. The store staff said it is not refundable and told me I either stay with them or lose all my money. She even insists to deliver to doors to my home (in order to justify her charge) although I explicitly asked her not to do illegal dumping. - The installation department never picks up calls. The only way to reach them is to call Central HomeDepot line, who can call the store manager and get someone to handle your call. Such redirection takes 30 minutes minimum. - The staff I spoke to is extremely rude. After taking $4200 from me and telling me to wait again and again, she told me to be nice to her because she is helping me (otherwise I will lose all my money!) - The Home Depot outsource all the installation projects. Their vendors service quality is just as bad as the store. The vendor is off work by 2PM, and never replying to any email. Even for "rush order", they need 2-4 weeks just to get the door, and another indefinite delay to install. Today (8/11) I had my final conversation with the store staff as she refused to refund my order. So I am going to dispute all these charges, because they failed to deliver any service and violated the timelines in service agreement completely. I have wasted tens of hours in the past 2 months just to find out what is going on with my orders. Doing business with this Home Depot is a complete waste of time.

Went to buy some very large pots. I told 2 people who were near the area out side the plant department were the pots were that I needed help. They told me to go inside for help. I asked another man for help and he said I needed to talk to a checker. I asked the checker for help and said the pots were outside and I needed assistance. She said to get the code number on the pots and I could buy them inside. I still said I needed assistance and felt ignored. I got the code and went to pay for them. There was a small number I didnt see so she went outside to check the numbers. In the mean time my husbands is feed up with waiting for assistance so he drives our van into the area were the pots are and is loading the pots when she is out there. She jumps on him for loading the pots without paying for them while Im watching this from the register. There is an employee out there watering plants and puts things in front of my husbands path while he is trying to load up instead of helping him load up these large pots. Im watching this whole thing from the register and become livid. I walk out to the van and yell at him. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. MY HUSBAND IS ALMOST 70 YEARS OLD AND YOU CAN"T EVEN HELP HIM. WHAT"S THE MATTER WITH YOU. Never will I go back. I had been in the retail business for years and I would have been fired when I was an employee for being so rude as all of them.

Today I went to the Home Depot store in San Mateo (Foster City). I went to look for a piece of outdoor furniture, and almost immediately, a representative, Natasha Sanders, walked up to see if she could assist me. She was very pleasant and appeared not the least annoyed with us as she walked back to the computer several times to check to see if what I wanted was available. She found what I wanted and assisted me with total kindness and professionalism. She arranged to have the outdoor table delivered to my home, since it was not available at near stores. She was quick, nice, and laughed as we joked with my sister. She also provided us with the price for tables that were not marked. Something my sister and I noted, because we were not actually standing there looking for assistance, was that Natasha decided to approach us to offer her help if we needed any assistance. She made it a very pleasant visit to Home Depot. It is my wish to ask that you extend our appreciation, and reward her in any fashion you decide to show your appreciation. Thank you.

Home Depot needs to run background checks on their employees for criminal history. Generally a decent store. Good discounts and good stock but quality of employees vary uber wildly. Some are senior, experienced, can provide useful guidance and are swarmed by tons of people with questions, others are holding their first job during high school and are just mannequins for the store but some are just straight up psychotic. They just get angry and argumentative as soon as you open your mouth and get violent very soon after. Rolling eyes, grinding teeth and even punching walls like theyre going through drug withdrawal The delivery contractors they use are home wreckers too. Bought 3 appliances. The first delivery they just pushed it over the marble tiles and scratched everything. The last bit, he just rammed it until its in place. Definitely could have broken the gas pipes then. The second delivery, they reversed the washing machines supply line hook ups. We were washing our clothes in pure hot water for 2 months before we noticed.

I went in the other day to find a screw driver to fix a door hinge. I asked some of the sales people on the floor for help since I dont know enough about the tools I needed to be confident enough to pick something out on my own. Twice I was told to wait while someone was called. No one came. I picked something out myself and hoped it would work. I planned on asking questions at the register about my item when it came time for me to check out (I used up a good half hour waiting for help) I saw no registers opened. Only the self checkout was open. The only question I had in my frustration at this point was about their return policy. Friendly but unhelpful staff. I will not be going back.

I dont know whos bright idea it was to get rid of all of the people at the registers and only have self checkout at Home Depot. Its a horrible idea. I am always waiting in line for a minimum of 10 minutes to use the self checkout. Today one of the self checkout registers was closed because it was broken and they still didnt even open up a register. There were seven or eight Home Depot employees standing around doing nothing. Who ever thought of getting rid of all the people at the registers and only using self checkout should be fired. This happens every time I go to Home Depot.
