The coffee shop upstairs is pretty nice, but the customer service of the store downstairs has gone down really bad. I go there on regular basis to pick up pods and can clearly see the deterioration of the service. First I had to wait longer because one out of the two only sales people was talking to a couple for way longer than normal about semi personal stuff. The other sales person was ok, but was very indifferent (Walmart kind of behavior). I asked for the name of the manager, which they said its against the company policy to provide. The manager comes. He was very loud (the whole store could hear him talk which was not really necessary) and didnt come across as very professional. The whole experience was supposed to be a quick pick up of a semi large order, ended up being an unpleasant encounter. I wouldnt write about it if I didnt like the brand and wanting to go back there. retraining of the staff (specially the manager) highly recommended.

The Nespresso Flagship in San Francisco is possibly one of the best retail experiences youll get outside of a not-so-crowded day at an Apple Store. First off, its a beautiful space. Its two completely separate spaces: The top floor is a lounge/cafe you can grab quick bites and coffee drinks. The bottom floor is a retail outlet to where you can be catered to at your every whim. You can test as much coffee as you want at no charge. They come out with seasonal flavors all the time to keep you coming back in. If you want a quick experience, you can sign up to be a Nespresso Member, get a nifty leather keychain with an RFID chip and self-purchase any coffee via a kiosk in a jiffy. Plus, the bathroom facilities are top notch if thats your fancy. Try not to think of the environmental waste of the pods while your there.

Excellent coffee, anyone who even thinks that Starbucks is better than Nespresso, well guess you havent really given Nespresso a chance or you dont know "real" coffee. The Boutique is awesome the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. I know because I worked for Nespresso in Bloomingdales, SF and no other coffee is as good, no machine as smooth as Nespresso. But also remember it is not for everybody that is why people have choices. And for me Nespresso was the right choice. Just wish they sold capsules in places other than downtown. Like Andronicos, Whole Foods but until then I go to the Nespresso Cafe on Grant Avenue.

Shhh...theres free espresso/coffee servings downstairs. You dont necessarily have to buy an Nespresso machine to get that free coffee/espresso either. Just pretend! At any rate, I DO own a bright red Nespresso Latissima+ and its the best purchases we ever made. The espressos are rich and flavorful. Be sure to use it when guests come over, they too will be impressed with the flavors and even end up buying one for themselves. Thats happened 3xs with mine :) Customer service is usually great. They wear all black, which makes them look sophisticated but they are always knowledgeable on the machines and the coffee beans used in the pods.

I was so excited to come here for the elegance of the place. We came about an hour before the closing time and here is what happened. -The service was so slow -Our choice of dessert was out. We ordered other types of dessert and it arrived after the coffee got cold. -I initially asked for steamed milk with my coffee and I didnt get it until my coffee got cold as well l. -The server realized how disastrous the experience was for our group and his suggestion was to come early to have good service.A very bad excuse. And extra star was given for the look of the place and for selling Nesspresso pods, so I can stock up at the same time.

I fell for Nespresso while living in Switzerland. We had subleased an apartment for the year and they had left their machine behind for us to use. "Stupid, gimmicky pod coffee..." we snarled as first. And then we tried it. Ohhhh, its really good. I loved buying capsules and turning in used ones at the two cafes in town and Ive missed the full Nespresso experience since getting back to California (of course one of the first things we did was buy our own machine). At last with the opening of this location I can have the full experience again. Its clean and tidy, very Swiss. And even has the full recycling station I was used to. I love it.

I will start with this: TERRIBLE SERVICE! Other than that everything was tasty. I said Terrible Service because i had this gentleman (Spanic looking) I believed hi was the manager because he was dressed different from others he approached me smelling MARIJUANA big time. I mean, come on. I thought this place was drug free employees. I ask for his name because he didnt had a Name tag, and he told me his name was Jose. This happened this past Saturday. This is my favorite place to come here to enjoy my coffee and relax. After this bad customer service from this gentleman, I will definitely will go elsewhere to enjoy my coffee.

Excellent service, above and beyond! We stopped in to by more of our small capsules and found the cafe super neat and clean. Downstairs we were greeted right away by two lovely customer service individuals. When they asked what we would like, I inquired about a recent limited edition that I loved, but feared it was sold out. They confirmed that is was but then found me nearly an exact replica and made a me a delicious sample to try. They were so kind and helpful, always smiling and clearly happy with their jobs. We enjoyed our experience and wish we would have gotten their names! We will certainly visit this store again.

Overly pretentious service, and expensive, mediocre coffee. My husband and I came here to decide if wed like to buy one of their coffee machines. Three men greeted us at the door. "Would you like a table, or a couch? Maybe youd like to sit near the window?" (Its just coffee, for Gods sake.) My husband ordered a double espresso, which he thought was fair but not as good as Starbucks. I had a decaf coffee which I did not bother to finish because it just wasnt good. Whats the point of the high end atmosphere if the coffee is lousy? Obviously we wont be buying one of their machines.

When I walked in through the front door I had believed I had accidently stumbled through an art gallery. I was greeted by a cute little french girl who asked me if i was interested in dining at the cafe. intrigued by the offer, I accepted her proposal. She walked me through the cafe and I swear it was one of the most unique places I had ever been in. There were nespresso machines and multi-colored espresso capsules literally seeping through the walls. The food was amazing (that grilled cheese mmmmm..) but the service was even better. Everyone was so friendly, I reccomend Nespresso to all.

Pretentious, overpriced and lousy service. My wife & I get seated by a maitre d and wait. Server brings two glasses of water and we order a coffee and croissant. Off goes the server with the order and we wait. Server comes back with a knife & fork set all wrapped in a pressed cloth napkin. We wait some more. Coffee finally shows up and we wait for the croissants. After 6-8 minutes I complain and croissants are finally delivered (by now weve finished the coffees). Croissants are one of the worst. Chewy and rubbery as if heated in a microwave. All this for $25. Come on.
