I went in to Pro-Mec so I could have my frames repaired which, is exactly what I asked for. And specifically, emphasized I didnt like the bi-focal lenses but loved and wanted to use the frame. I was very detailed in showing the clerk the piece that was broken that needed to be repaired. When I came in the following day, I was handed my glasses with a new frame instead of my repaired frame. I asked the clerk for her name, she refused. The so-called owner walked by and made a snarly comment instead of interjecting some positive customer service that is desperately needed. Im not sure how this place has stayed in business. The clerk, finally relented and told me her name was Sue. I wish there were negative stars. My review, is to never use this place for anything. Poor professionalism and bad attitude all the way around. Distasteful atmosphere. I will never go back. And, I HATE MY NEW FRAMES !

Son broke his frames below hinge, closer to the main frame. Pro-Mec said they will try to fix it since it was a bad break and a bad location. I got a call about 2 days later and it was fixed! You can hardly tell, it was an excellent repair and you can hardly notice. . .Im not saying you cant tell, you can, but its a excellent job, smooth, glossy and the break seemed to be repaired solidly. In the front there is public street parking but theres a short time limit to park. I was able to get in and out without going over parking limit. I do recommend them and my $35 repair was worth it. P.S., They do accept credit cards, just NOT American Express.

If you need glasses repaired, then this place will do it. Not that they seem to enjoy doing it, or your presence, but they begrudgingly get it done. For $40 I had one nose piece replaced, sure, but that doesnt mean the glasses will comes back free of hand prints on the glass and with new plastic nose pads. They dont call when theyre finished either, nor seem too interested in finding out if its been completed if you call three days later- "Maybe, just come over and well find out."

Went in for a relatively simple fix (new screws for my metal frames and some minor adjustments) earlier today. The clerk explained exactly what theyd do to fix my glasses and told me I could wait and it would take about 15 minutes. It took less than 10 minutes and the price was half of what I had feared. They were extremely efficient and Im so happy to have my glasses back. I would definitely recommend this shop!

She was able to fix the broken arm on my glasses without having to replace the arm. I have a $300.00 pair of Michael Kor glasses. The arms have MK logos built in. I was so devastated when it broke off. She is amazing. Glasses were repaired in less than 45 minutes. Thanks for saving the day! Fair price!

The temples on my glasses had broken. I had temporarily replaced the temples, but they were ill fitting. They were able to repair my glasses in minutes. They did what two other eyeglass places couldnt. They fit better than ever. They were friendly and helpful. So glad to have found this place.

This place sucks! I literally lost the pin and was told $31 to repair! And they tried to sell me a warranty. My mom took them to an eye glass place on Madison and got them fixed for free. I support business in my neighborhood but talk about taking advantage of a 13 year old!!!
