They had a customer with the exact same name which they had called by mistake when my glasses and contacts had arrived which added an extra three weeks for purchase fulfillment. They were polite and apologized but also admitted that they only noticed when the other customer had informed them of their mistake. Im surprised theyre not tracking this by order number - names are _certainly_ not unique. Its more my fault for not calling them when I hadnt heard from them, Ive been super busy with business and travel so it just fell to the bottom of my list. They also almost let me walk without my contacts in hand - had to remind them on my way out. Nice folks and all, trendy glasses shop - but really cant recommend after my experience. Edit: Raising to two stars since the owner called and left a message outlining that they would be internally addressing the problems outlined above. Some things did not sit well with me on that voice mail: * There was a slight guilt trip for not bringing this all up in-store. I decided to do this is a public forum because glasses and contacts are products people absolutely need. You cant be three weeks late with health products. * "Usually when we text people, but we noticed you were a call vs a text, we get a text right back saying its not the right person" - Customers should never resolve other customers order fulfillment issues. I will reiterate - this is a health product, you guys are under HIPAA. There are real privacy concerns here. * I understand that there are two separate businesses that handle the glasses and contacts. However, I expect you as the salesman to manage my sale as a whole unit regardless if you ring things out on separate receipts. I get theres "legal reasons" for not tying the two together... but Id be shocked if you couldnt have a sales slip and/or notes on my account to show what I have purchased/received at your place of business. Super polite message - was impressed I heard back.

I am an avid reader and spend many hours on the computer each day. It recently occurred to me that blurred vision and sensitivity is not a normal occurrence, and I should get checked out. I walk past UnOptical on a weekly basis and one day decided enough was enough. I called and was able to get an appointment for the following day. The customer experience from the office staff was friendly and welcoming. My exam was thorough and quick, as the Optometrist was efficient and gentle, and within an hour I was shopping for frames. I was told the prescription and frames would take a few days to come back, but by the end of the night I received a call saying it was already ready for pickup. I was fitted to ensure they fit my face nicely, and I was given a spray bottle and cleaning cloth for free, with unlimited free refills at any time.

I had a DEEP scratch right between the lenses on the frame of my $250 Gucci sunglasses. I called a couple sunglasses repair places that said it was impossible to fix them. Called the Unoptical and they said to email me a picture of them. They called me back and said that they would take a look and see what they could do. Took them to the Unoptical and they were able to buff it out! I couldnt believe it. They also replaced my left lens that was scratched--and I didnt even ask them to do it--they just did! This company is the real deal. They also have all these great deals on all types of sunglasses and glasses. Customer service is on point. I was very happy with the service. Everybody was so nice and helpful. If you need glasses, sunglasses or repair or either: this is THE place to go in San Diego.

This place is great!! I recommend all my friends go here. Their selection really provides a lot of diversity between known and less unknown brands. You really get the opportunity to find something that you would never be able to find in a Lenscrafters or national chain. The staff is there if you need them, with lots of knowledge, or leaves you alone. They have great options for price range with package deals that are super competitive. I couldnt say anything negative about this place. Its a must stop before going anywhere else! Kudos, Unoptical! You guys do great business

Great fast service. I read the reviews and thought Id try them out. I broke my glasses sleeping in them. Although they could not fix them, they directed me to someone who could. Also, they sold me on their packaged deal for lenses and frames for $195, and my glasses were ready in two days. You cant beat that!!!!

The thread on my half-rim glasses broke while I was on my vacation in San Diego. I searched online and found the Unoptical with great reviews and decided to give it a try. The staff were super friendly and fixed my glasses in 5 minutes for free! They really saved my vacation and made my day =)

Amazing service, I got my glasses there a year ago, and needed some contacts on the fly, they squeezed me in and I got one of the most thorough eye exams Ive ever had, and their $200 frames and lenses combo selection is fantastic!
