So Im standing here in the mens department of Nordstrom in the Arden Fair mall, ready and willing to buy a suit at full price, but they wont let me. Most of the mens department is cordoned off pending an upcoming sale. They wont even let me look to see whether they have something in my size that Im interested in so that I know whether to drive all the way back on Thursday when they are allowed to start selling their merchandise again. When I asked who was authorized to allow me to look at the suits I was told "Wed have to get permission from every single vendor. Our contracts with all of them prevent us from allowing you to physically look at the merchandise." Hmmmm. Did I mention that I was willing to pay full price? Im not asking that they give me a jump on the sale at all, I just need to purchase some clothing and rarely have time to drive to Sacramento to do it. Ridiculous! What kind of business model is it to be the higher end, anchor, department store in a larger citys biggest mall, and refuse to sell items sitting on a shelf 5 feet away to a potential customer? They just lost a customer for life.

We went to this Nordstrom Arden Fair yesterday early morning. We were looking for a specific product and were struggling to find it. An employee named Jonathan, a very kind young man, took the time to help us out. He not only found the product in the back, brought it to us, but also patiently helped us put it in our basket. This young man went above and beyond to help us. He was also very courteous and polite. The place is very clean and organized. Parking was easy. The whole experience was great but most of all, the awesome customer service was excellent!! Thank you Jonathan!!

Very poor customer service. No sales associate offered to help or inform me of sizing options or availability/services of getting alterations done. In addition, when asked if its ok to ring up another customer I said ok but to go and help ring or assist 3 more customers when I was patiently waiting and ignoring to ask me again I am pretty upset at the poor service provided. Definitely not a shopper at this nordstorm.

Ill be honest, I only shop at Nordstrom for bras. The gals who work that department are well educated in fitting, and cant be phased by anything (such as my post-cancer lack of nipples). They dont try to sell you only the most expensive products and are quick on the uptake as far as understanding what the customer wants. The entire store is beautiful, and the employees are generally easy to find and very helpful.

I love Whitney and Stefan! Look for them as for the I think i am better than you rest of em forget about it! Especially the perfume MANAGER! OMG I probably own almost more than half of the perfume in that store and she treated me as if i couldnt afford one! Save your apology gifts, change needs to happen!

A frequent shopper at Nordstrom but this location lacks customer service and people skills. Had a very unfortunate experience in the shoe department. Wish it was better but Walnut Creek or Roseville may be a better choice if you want someone to help
