Ive been to several bike shops, both in Sac and in other cities, and Natomas Bike Shop is by far the best! I recently moved from out of state and needed a new bike, mainly for street commuting but also with some ability to ride on trails (dirt and packed stone, nothing too serious). First off, this place has been there for almost 30 yrs, and the people there are genuine bike-lovers and experts. They listened to what my needs were as well as price range and gave me different options to choose from based on that. They were upfront and very non-pressuring, just wanting me to find a bike that fit best for me. The employees I spoke with talked about their personal experience with different bikes and features (e.g. Disk breaks, suspension forks, etc.) and taught me a lot I didnt know. After finding an awesome Specialized (most of their inventory is Specialized), they made sure I had a chance to ride it out in the parking lot for as long as I wanted, and gave me a second bike to test out different features. I was between two bikes and really wanted something with a little bit of both all into one. I wanted disk breaks, but didnt need the extra 4 lbs the suspension fork added for the amount Id use it. They didnt have such a bike in stock, but eureka! they had exactly what I wanted in their warehouse and said theyd grab it and build it for me to pick up next day. Another act of awesome customer service! But to totally exceed my expectations, they offered me a loaner to use in the meantime. I asked for this to be able to ride downtown to a festival and figured it might be a stretch of a request. But they spent time looking through what they had and were willing to loan me one of their personal bikes for the day. That blew me away in terms of taking many extra steps to make sure I was happy, and was probably the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE Ive had in a very long time! These people are pros and really put a huge emphasis on customer satisfaction, and I will be telling everyone I know about this place and will be going exclusively there for all my bike needs (I also get free lifetime tune ups for life from purchasing from them)! As long as this review is, I cant say enough about how great the bikes and and the people working there are. Keep it up guys!

I am beyond excited to own my new all black "Specialized Bike"! The guys at the shop, were amazing. I am overweight, and trying to get back into shape after explaining all of what I needed to the guy helping me, and after patiently listening he showed me a few bikes that would be best for me. They order ordered my bike I choose, and told me the day of pick up. They called me (on time), and told me my bike was ready. As soon as I got there I was greeted with big warm smiles, and was promptly assisted. They made sure my seat was adjusted, and the handle bars were placed in a comfortable setting. Then one of the guys took me on a bike ride to teach me how to use the gears, and to ensure I was confident with my new bike. I am happy with the service that was given, and with the the bike I choose! If anyone is wondering weather or not a "Specialized Brand" will hold your body weight(over weight folks) mine is holding me just fine, and havent had any problems! I felt like a kid again on my new bike, and it feels great getting in hours of cardio with out all the pain of weight on my ankles(hours of jogging). Hope this comment helps someone. Not often that I feel compelled to write a review when I havent even become a customer, but thats what I am doing now. My wife and I are from Illinois and are in the market for cruiser bikes, thought we would look at shops in California while we are here for the weekend because there might be a better variety, and would have even taken one back on the plane if we fell in love with it. We spoke with Scott, who explained they couldnt really give us a bike in the box, they needed to build it, but then proceeded to give us lots of information about different bikes, what companies might carry bikes that work with my (rather large) frame, and some strategies for how we might get what we needed back in Illinois. He did all this knowing the whole time we werent customers. Cant imagine how he treats customers - its got to be great.

This bike shop was very helpful and very professional. I needed someone to ship an expensive road bike to my father in law. They gave me a reasonable quote over the phone, and remembered me when I stopped by later that day. They kept in touch with me through the whole process, even through some annoying cell phone tower issues on my end. They offered to let me see the packed bike before it was shipped, and did not charge me or even take a card number until they had an exact shipping amount. I just heard that my father in law received the bike right on time and in perfect condition. I could not be happier with the service I received.

went in to get my rear gear changed to a small gear the whole time the bike mechanic was telling me things like well you get what you pay for I paid 400 dollars for this bike its not a cheap wallmart bike. he was telling me how cheap my bike was thats why it has a small tweak I seriously wanted to just leave so I did and wont be coming back to this shop due to a bike mechanic who has a big mouth. other then him the shop is a great shop but because of him I will not be coming there for service anymore.

I have been calling arround all morning to get prices on how much it would cost to just literrally get my tire put back on my bike I took it off to change the inner tube thinking I knew what I was doing but when it came to placing it back on, I couldnt quit do it LOL I called a couple of places and got quotes from $10-16 and then called and talked with someone from here and he was very friendly on the phone and said oh if it just that we wont charge u anything! Talk about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Recently purchased Felt Z100 road bike. Scott, Bike Mike, Deklin(sic) all were great help and very informative. Test ride on three bikes. Then back and talked to owner John. Narrowed to two bikes and with his help made my decision. Received call next day from John thanking me and telling me if I am not happy or need any help come se them. Lifetime maintenance!!! I didnt expect much from the exterior of the shop until getting close to the door, this shop was far more stocked than the alternatives in the area(uptown cycle doesnt even carry 700c tubes!), prices are good, and the staff is friendly and helpful, unfortunately theres no bike racks out front though, so take a lock thats long enough to wrap around the tree out front if youre on a bike.
