My bike basket had lost a screw and was hitting the gears; not good! I took it into Performance, and the guy put in a new screw FREE, no charge! And it only took a few seconds. I am used to bike shops that charge you the full labor cost even if the job takes less than 5 minutes, and hold your bike overnight for that 5 min job, and its still not done when you come back in the morning, so the quick FREE service at Performance was a wonderful, wonderful surprise!! :)

I shop at Performance all the time - generally very good values and selection. Another reviewer mentioned pretentious bike shops - I agree - most OTHER shops are intolerable - usually treating you like an idiot and constantly trying to up-sell you to a "better" bike than your current one (even thought they just sold it to you 6 months earlier). Performance is not that way - they just try to help with my problems and never seem to be holier-than-thou.

I went into this store to just to shop for a few items for my bike and as I was walking out, one of the workers accused me off stealing something. I showed him what was in my pockets anyway. There was nothing in the store that was as thin as my phone or could fit in my pockets. The guy was just an a-hole. Never going back there again.

This is my go-to shop for certain bike stuff I need right away. They generally have the best in-stock selection of a wide range of things (nutrition, clothes, parts, etc) when I dont want to order and wait for something. When stuff is on sale, its hard to beat their prices, even against online stuff.

Great shop to deal with. I bought a bike and traded it for another because of fit issues without any hassle. Then, the new bike I bought went on sale a week later and they refunded me the difference. Very professional and helpful sales staff and the satisfaction guarantee is fantastic.

Not good. I payed for a tube and installation is well and that idiot in the back that did the job did it so fast that when I put the tire back on the bike and started to ride I made it a matter of Two blocks and the goddamn thing popped.

Been to some pretty pretentious bicycle stores before and was very relieved to find this one wasnt one of those. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional staff. They frequently have sales as well. Highly recommend this shop.

Very poor managing. Found a good bike I liked but manager Todd S. was too lazy to help me get it built "in case we get more customers" I was the only one there. Makes no sense to me either since I already had my wallet out.

Most bike stores take about two weeks to fix ANYTHING on your bike. I dropped by the store, they took me in, slapped a new hub, chain, and did a tune all in under 30MIN!!! These guys are awesome. Great store!

Needed a spoke changed on my bike, I went to over 10 different places in downtown Sac and towards Roseville and Performance Bicycle off Douglass are the best service and by far the cheapest price.
