Excellent stock of used wax in great condition for sane prices. Prices are what a used Billy Squier - Dont Say No should be universally. If youre buying original used presses, live near this location and not shopping here, you havent figured out much else in life. METAL is respected with a current selection. Comedy selection is superb with almost every Richard Pryor release in stock. Trade in used books program is a win, though a stack of used medical textbooks didnt fetch anything, they were happy to forward them on to Goodwill, taking them out of our trunk and in my best intentions of hopefully finding a good home for them. I either look like a ghoul or I know what I am looking for and committed the cardinal sin of asking where a wastebasket was for my empty beverage, which the back record department desk looked at me with murderous contempt and disposed of it. I expressed my concern for the grief I had caused and repeated my grateful acknowledgement which only led to a grunt being evoked from the cave and I was not approached once by anyone to ask if they could be of any help. I usually dont need anything, if I do I never receive it. If I walk out of your store and spend 100 bux, you dont grunt and you better ask hows the weather? The least amount of effort may decide nothing or everything pertaining to an individual. If you dont enjoy your job, go pack the bananas down the street. Needlessly, I paid my bill at the book check-out, I didnt want to put anyone else in a bad mood in the record cave and I didnt want to have to prove how bad I am while buying some records. This is satire, nevermind, nobody knows what that means these days. I will be back the next time we are in Sacramento.

The only reason Im giving 1star is because they dont have any other place to compare it to. Its sad that this is the only place you can buy new and used movies in the area. Ive been up to this store 3 times and not 1 time did anyone apologize for the inconvenience. I dont know if its an Race thing or an out of town thing, but I will not be shopping here in the future. First time I came, the DVD set of bought was broken, wouldnt play. 2nd time when I had the disc ordered new, it was missing the 4th disc. And still, no one apologized. So I came back a 3rd time to order again a 2nd time for the same box set. Ridiculous!!

inconsistent moods from employees, overwhelming amount of loss prevention employees, when I walk in I feel like I just walked in to the movie empire records, yet thinking I was going to be tackled for noticing the loss prevention ratio over customers, its not even the holidays yet. Felt uncomfortable. My son and I didnt like being watched and stared at like we were criminals. We wont be back to that location.

Pretty standard prices on games, music, movies etc. Sometimes they lag of price updates which can go to your favor at time. Other times youll see things way overpriced and even employees are confused by it. If your familiar with general item prices and you want a good selection a content great place to dig around.

They have a wide selection of movies, games, and CDs available both used and new. Price are a hit and miss since some games are cheaper at Gamestop, thats probably something they can improve on though. Staff is helpful and theyre open pretty late, great bonus if you need some sort of entertainment late at night.

Very surprising find! Great customer service as well as an impressive selection of old and new movies and tv shows including anime. They also have a pretty impressive selection of new and retro games. I didnt check out their music selection so I cant really comment on that, but it looks pretty big as well.

Dimple records has an array of locations based in and around Sacramento. I have even found more selection than other well known record stores in the northern California / bay area. Helpful staff and just about anything a music lover would need to listen at home or on the move.

Ive been going here for More than 7 years and in that time they have always had video games and music CDs that I wanted to get at a price that I can afford. Every staff member that Ive met has been polite and knowledgeable about the store. Oh and theyve got Sega games.

Great place to find some used games, gaming related items and music. A variety of new and used products for a good price! Also host too many local events and show advertising at the front door in the form of pamphlets and fliers. Great place!

One of the few old school record stores left. Very cool vintage vibe. Decent prices, especially on their vinyl. Pretty good selection, too. Love that they host in-store concerts sometimes. They also sell dvds, blu-ray, and games.

I only go four stars because I was around for the heyday of Tower Records. But damn, Dimple comes pretty close. Usually easy to find knowledgeable staff, selections can be hit or miss, but Ive found genuine gems in the bins.
