We are remodeling our home to rent and have bought everything we needed at this Home Depot. We have essentially remodeled the whole house. Everyone has always been helpful and informative. UNTIL today. We bought appliances the week of thanksgiving to get a great deal. We bought a refrigerator, electric range slide-in, hood and a dishwasher. We paid upfront for everything and the woman helping us in the appliance section went over everything with me. She was telling me about returns and specifically said this: "when the appliances are delivered, check for dents and check if its the correct appliance, if it has dents or its not the correct appliance, tell the delivery people, I refuse delivery." She said if you do it this way then it will be an easier way to return, if for any reason we had to. Ok great. Well the appliances were delivered, dishwasher and refrigerator were installed fine. Everything was in perfect condition and they were all the correct appliances we ordered. We paid extra to have them install and haul away our old appliances. Apparently our hood and electric range were hardwired and we needed to install a plug before we could install the stove and hood. Ok thats fine. A close relative of mine has done construction for a very long time and said he would come do the plugs because he has worked on this house a lot with us already. We pull out the old stove (which wasnt hauled away) and hood to install the plugs. Come to find out the stove we believed to have measured correctly has a lip on it that we were unaware of and our new stove wont fit. We call Home Depot and they tell us "sorry, no refunds". Um what. We go to Home Depot and they tell us we can return it but its a 15% restocking fee. NO ONE INFORMED US OF THIS RESTOCKING FEE AT ALL!!!!!! And the delivery guy should have noticed the lip on the stove because he does this for a friggen living and should have said hey btw that stove wont fit you should refuse delivery. We tried our best as consumers to measure accurately but failed with one tiny mistake. The house we bought is old and the old stove is apparently wacky. Now I know why they say dont go to big box stores. We were ill-informed and two people were not doing their jobs correctly. If you buy appliances here be VERY diligent and ask about restocking fees because we were never mentioned this. Its not even in any of our paperwork. This is not the last they will be hearing from me.

If youre going to home depot to have a water heater installed through the contractor Delta, dont do it. They installed the new water heater and the same day it broke down and a tech had to come out and relight it. The next day it broke down again. Its been about a week now and weve had no hot water, and the techs arent getting the job done on time or as promised. Id definitely recommend paying extra money to a company that will do this right. Unfortunately Home Depot and Delta are not the way to go.

Tool rental: the clerk inside is friendly helpful and understanding of my challenges. The condition of the rental equipment is sub par I have gone through two side cutters in the same day because both were broken when I return home to use them be sure you fully check the condition of the equipment before renting here.

Bought a shelf unit for garage, it was wrapped in plastic. When i started putting it together i noticed a crack, thought it would work. Found another cracked shelf. Cracks got bigger as i put in support poles. Not even worth it to return it. Disappointed that Home Depot would sell these kind if items.

I wanted to rent a tool. I left do to the slow service and the bad attitude of the rental clerk. The tools he tried to rent me were in real bad shape and he tried to give me a worn-out masonry bit. He didnt have to worry because there is NO manager to complain to.

Its hard to find anyone who works here. Once you do they point you in the wrong direction and once again youre looking for another associate. Ice had nothing but frustration with this place. Rather take a longer drive and go to the one in modesto.

Unlike other home depots and Lowes in the area this one isnt pet friendly. So if you have your dog with you just got to the Lowes down the street. No dogs allowed is posted on the entryway doors. Off to Lowes it is.
